It actually is quite close. You were quite certain the GOP wanted across the board 23% non defense cuts. You mentioned it multiple times that since the GOP bill didn’t line item the proposed cuts, one could rightfully assume it’s everything but defense at 23%. All reporting in the last day says the compromise is nowhere close to that and you still can’t provide any documents that say it either. You were wrong, it’s fine.

What? They wanted a 22% cut in Jon defense spending. They ended with a spending freeze in 2024 and a 1% increase in 2025. So, those items were on the table. Republicans just backed off from them.

I see nothing from the previous 5 years that thinks any game next season is a win. Rhule in year one has and has said all the right things. So did Frost. As for CU, it looks like a win. They return only 12 guys (IIRC) from that 1-11 team, he is in year 1 with a new scheme, new team and some new staff with the largest departure list in history. But Rhule is, in year 1, with a new scheme, new team and some new staff and tied for the 6th (IIRC) most transfers this season. Yep. For me no game is a gimme. But CU, with all of their perceived issues is a MUST WIN IMHO.

Yeah, and I agree. It hadn’t really angered me as a fan or anything. We live in a world where hot takes and superstars living in media mega vortexes rule the day, and the NBA is basically built on it. I’m not really a guy that fumes watching Nick Wright or Max Kellerman dismiss the nuggets. With Wright, it’s a schtick and Kellerman just isn’t very sophisticated, even as sports personalities go. What has bothered me is media people who’ve never commented on jokic or the nuggets before acting like they’ve really evaluated this team all year and that this team has really elevated their game. No…this is who they’ve been most of the year and if you watched them you would know that.

There are numerous shows/movies where they just have to have a gay couple, regardless of if it supports the plotline and is certainly not for laughs. Same with having a person of color, etc. I have no problem with any of those things but please have it serve a purpose to the plot. Often times it does not, it just gets interjected into there bc that's the "woke af" society we live in.

Wut That's a very large percentage of shows and movies now a days. It's actually way overdone IMO. I'm fine with some of it but not every damn show/movie has to be woke af, often times at the expense of the storyline.

It's still hard to fathom that this is our reality. We once held the record bowl streak at 35 straight seasons. Every time something happened and it felt like rock bottom, we were still able to dig a deeper pit.
