  1. I'd rather have a 2 week waiting period for no topic permissions for new members @Mavric

  2. Failing to find any way to get the ball to Fidone or Kemp is pretty disappointing.

  4. Nearly everyone expected Neb to lose by a TD, or more. We actually played toe to toe with a better team. We made more mistakes and nearly won the damn game. We lost on a final play FG to prevent OT. To read this board and most other reporting, Neb should suddenly have been a three TD winner? What gives? I just don’t understand the entire attitude. A last minute change of mind and all the negative naysayers become Nebraska fans for a few days only to quickly transform back into bashers. I suspect that the 3 year resurrection plan became a one game miracle failure. What head coach would ever want the job if he’s given one game? What players / recruits would even consider Big Red with a rotten egg fan base? This team and staff deserves better than this crap. Just my opinion. Constructive criticisms are one thing. Name calling and mean spirited BS spewing is outrageous. We could have won that game, despite some glaring first game errors. A win would have been a HUGE upset. Period. It almost happened. I, for maybe the only one, see a lot of positives and look forward to moving forward in the long term Husker football rebuilding plan. This season may surprise people. It may not, for those, who somehow, imagine that one game is the beginning and ending of Husker football, once again.

  5. After watching the CO/TCU game, would you rather have Rhule or Sanders as Huskers head coach?
    6 points
  6. I'd still take Rhule because I think Deion Sanders and Colorado looked better than they really are. Do I think they will beat NU next week? Most likely, however I dont think it'll be a blowout and it'll be because NU beats themselves moreso then they Colorado is head and shoulders better. They caught TCU at the absolute worse time for TCU. First game of the season, trying to replace a ton of talent and a QB who played lights out all season last year. Playing against a team they were 20+ point favorites over. It was the definition of a perfect storm. I mean hell, as I type this Ohio St struggled against Indiana, Georgia is only beating UT Martin by 17 at half, and Texas A&M is only beating New Mexico by 7. Week one is always unpredictable and often games are closer than they should be. Colorado is talented at the offensive skill positions and at DB. The kind of game NU wants to play counteracts Colorado's game. I fully expect it to be a closer game then a lot of people on here do. When it comes to Rhule, he has a track record of doing exactly what he's doing here right now, and finishing with double digit wins year 3. Trust the process, and realize Rhule is building a program here, that will be competitive in the BIG.

  8. I guess Sanders proved he can pass the ball in the big league. That's about as impressive a start as you can get.

  9. You can’t fire Rhule but we can grade him. It was bad. My target is for Nebraska to be a ranked top 25 team consistently. So I’ll give my grades against that measurement, meaning you have to get A’s in all these to be Top 25. Passing game F Run game D O line D Defense B- D Line C- Pass Coverage B- Pass rush D Special Teams C+ Clock management C- Long way to go. I really thought we’d be C+/B- range but we have too many issues and I did not expect QB to be this much of a problem.

  10. Look guy, I don't really give a s#!t what you're trying to do here, so I'm gonna just let you off on this one. Obviously your education level is below average as you spelled shamrock with a C instead of an S and added an additional C later on. Maybe those are the only letters you know, idk, I don't really care. You really really want to insert yourself in a conversation you weren't involved in. Maybe you weren't hugged enough as a kid, idk, I don't care. Have a good night and may God have mercy on your poor poor soul.

  11. People discrediting tcu is weird. Yes there is going to be drop off but this qb actually beat duggan out for the job and got hurt. The offensive identity made Duggan look like a star. They might not be the same team but that’s a big win on the road and to overcome all of the drops and mental errors. That showed a lot of mental toughness as a team when we’ve seen nothing but the opposite everytime there is a chance show if you got a pair.

  12. Sanders was a great hire because of shadur and hunter. without those guys colorado is still a bad team.

  13. It's a Nebraska message board. You people act like we should be in active hate against our team 24/7. If being a Nebraska fan isn't good enough for you, Colorado could use some help in their cheering section.

  14. Do I think TCU is better than Minny? Not really.
    5 points
  15. We are watching different games. TCU looks like a shell of itself. False starts at home, bad coverage, bad tackling. Minnesota had more discipline than TCU.

  16. I don't think B1G officials are biased; I think they are just incompetent.

  17. I honestly thought the left tackle was getting a bit of a head start throughout the game.

  18. Stop back tracking when getting called out. If Morris looks like dogsh!t as you say, what does that make our QB room? Sincere question.

  19. Deion Sanders is a fool, the more i watched him after news broke out he may of be at Nebraska and i saw how Deion seems to be more about himself than his players. All i see is a man who clearly wants his own lifetime NIL deal. Id like the wins but i have zero want for the circus that would follow that. Some of you didnt even want what the likes of Urban Meyer would of brought as far as media attention if he came here. He is better at recruiting certain players.

  20. This Board is unraveled. We choke in game 1. PRIME wins his road opener against a top 20.

  21. To be fair, he has absolutely no track record of posting anything that makes the slightest bit of sense.

  25. Whom ever thought PrimeTime wasn’t what we needed at Nebraska. Y’all crazy. He is exactly what we needed.

  26. Much better. As in, would beat Minny 35-17 (to estimate).
    4 points
  27. This is why I don’t really have the patience to give Rhule the benefit of the doubt. We are seeing in real time that a team can be turned around in one offseason. Rhule and Sat better pull their heads out of their asses and do something about this offense, like yesterday.
    4 points
  28. well we hired the wrong coach. they built a better offense in 1 offseason than we've had in 10 years.
    4 points
  29. Even if Rhule fails to make a bowl game in the first 4 years, he still deserves a crack at a 5th. The precedent has been set.

  30. TCU is playing BAD. This isn't even a shadow of the team that made it to the playoffs last year.
    4 points
  31. Our state and fanbase would have never accepted a complete roster turnover like Sanders did. They have lots of alphas and key players headed to the NFL. We have none of this. They have instant playmakers and talent. Bad matchup for us trying to do a long rebuild.

  32. Been reading a lot on this loss. It’s always something,…bad play call, player makes mistakes, penalty, refs, clock mismanaged, the list is pretty long. For the longest time we just either don’t have players or coaches that know how to win the game. Bottom line, win. Minny was on the mat yet when they had to have the ball, they punched it out. When they had to have the TD, perfect pass toe drag catch for TD. They needed the ball back, got the INT. Needed long FG to win, done. With all of our finding ways to lose the game, there is also another team on the other side who still has to find a way to win and they do. This is what we are completely inept at. Like the worst in college football. I’m not expecting a lot of wins this year but we have to win the damn game at times. Take the ball, make the play, make the stop. No more excuses, make the plays to win. The more we have guys with this mentality the better. Where’s our Tom Brady in the face on the sidelines, our Kirk Gibson getting rid of the nonsense, our Kobe Bryant demanding perfection? I don’t see one guy on offense this year or last year that fits that mold. No leadership at all. The last guy who maybe had some of this, Bo Pelini. Not perfect by any stretch but we haven’t won since. The team is soft. The defense looks like they may be on a good path. But the OL, RB room, WR room, QB…no alpha dogs and that is a bad recipe for losing in a game that demands physical and mental toughness.

  33. Rhule is one of the highest paid coaches in the game and the highest paid employee in the state. He is not above criticism. Sims was his buddies QB who ended up getting fired. Satterfield is also his buddy who wasn't very popular with SC fans. Neither looked good last night both were Matt Rhule choices.

  34. One thing that I wish would have changed but clearly has not is the number of new dipsh!t posters who create accounts during/after games to drop a couple of "hot" takes and get banned. It's exhausting.

  37. I honestly think they got lucky that Morris got hurt last year. He looked like dog s#!t most of the game; overthrows, underthrows, throwing way behind guys, late throws on the picks, etc

  39. Did y'all forget the beginning of the year last season when Thompson under threw deep ball after deep ball to a wide open Palmer? He nailed it in the Purdue and Iowa game but there is no way you are going to say that you take a single deep throw and Casey would for sure hit it. I'm pretty sure he missed a deep ball that was easier to hit in game 1 vs northwestern.

  40. You know Colorado gave up the middle run because TCU is so dangerous outside. We can't take much from this game because we ain't TCU. That was meant as a joke. My replies were merged, but they're unrelated to each other.

  41. I bet we put up a goose egg in the first half because we were saving our best stuff for Colorado. We should just be patient, I'm sure the coaches know we need more guys.

  42. You're mad at me for supporting Nebraska. On a Nebraska fan site.
    3 points
  43. Nah- this one was. Game one, on the road, against a team that played for the most recent NC. We are literally no one.
    3 points
  44. Colorado is pretty talented on offense. They're going to be superior at RB, QB, WR and they probably have the best CB on the field for defense. Sims is probably as likely to throw a TD to Travis Hunter as he is a Nebraska player. Next week is going to be a disaster. Colorado had the ability to score while Nebraska has to throw the passing playbook in the dumpster because the QB is a liability throwing the ball more than a yard beyond the line of scrimmage.

  45. Well, we are a huge underdog next week. Week 1 we underwhelm and CU plays well over expectations. CU is fun to watch. Deion knows what time it is. Slow rebuilds are so 2022.
    3 points
  46. So you think this TCU team is as good as last year's TCU team? Their defense has looked slow and not very good at all.
    3 points
  47. If you are referring to the deep throw on the td drive, the defender was making a play on the ball and the receiver came back into him. The no call was the right call.
    3 points
  48. With fans like you, probably not. im sorry your expectation for an undefeated season came to an end last night
