  1. Chiefs 3rd and short - run up the middle and get stuffed. Wife: “Why didn’t they just do a short pass that’s been successful this whole drive?“ Chiefs 4th and short - short pass for 1st down. Several drives later. Chiefs 4th and short - run up the middle and get stuffed. Have fun “Run the damn ball guy”.

  2. But it's way more fun to make up stories or believe them when we want to think the worst of people.

  3. My point is, great coaches agree that sometimes passing on short yardage downs is good strategy.

  4. No one has left and more people are dying to get here. The only people that don't realize this is the greatest place in the world are crazies on the left/right that live here.

  8. There were certain plays by both teams that didn't get called. The Ravens rb intentionally tripped Chris Jones in the end zone which would have been a safety. The Ravens didn't run the ball as much as I thought for being the number 1 rushing team in the NFL.

  16. They won(Chiefs). You saw what happened to the Ravens not running the ball. Limited by not doing what got them there in the first place. It helped by penalties not being called and the Ravens hurting themselves with poor discipline(personal foul) penalties.

  17. I get tired of all of the people who say they will leave if so and so are elected. Would love to know if anyone has ever left. I am pretty sure that anyone sneaking across the southern border has never said that though.

  19. Always been a Lamar skeptic. Bet against him and lost a few times this year. Finally decided to go with him. 54% completions. Terrible INT in the end zone. 10 points. Nice.

  20. Well….. @Scarlet did a great job of posting good info on a complex topic. Republicans want this to only be about sound bites and not actually doing anything about it.

  22. It'll be close for at least 3 quarters. Campbell will have this team playing the underlion(dog) card and put up a great fight and won't quit early, and the niners aren't 'explosive' they are maulers and wear you out to create big plays late. They will wear them down and eventually crack a big play but it'll take a while. Though I did look, Lions/9ers play each other in the regular season next year, so there's still a chance it could be in 2024, especially since the niners will be a vastly differnt team next year due to the cap.

  23. I had to look up who she was, and I can understand safety concerns, but then that's on the university (and part of Title IX) to provide safe learning environments for the students. Title IX specially spells out that the institution must remove the cause, not remove the student. So if Livvy, or any student, was justifiable unsafe in a class or campus, instead of removing the person from the class or campus, the institution is to remove the person(s) causing the student to feel unsafe. We had an issue very similar while my oldest was in middle school. She was getting some unwanted sexual comments from a male classmate, she brought it up to school counselor and principle. We had a meeting and the principle said he would be willing to move my daughter to the other team to help her feel safe. I told him, that's fine, but be prepared to lose the lawsuit on that decision. My daughter doesn't get uprooted, have to rearrange her schedule, not see her friends that she made on this team so as not to disrupt the schedule of the male verbally assaulting her. You move him, and if you can't move him, you remove him. I'm sure the principle made a few calls to verify what I said, and said student was switched to the other 'team' in the school that afternoon.

  25. 10 games left and the next 3 are the 3 highest NET ranked teams left, with 2 on the road. Massive 6-day stretch coming up. Go 2-1 or better and I think the bubble talk is more like what seed can they get. Go 1-2 and they really need to finish strong like 6-1 or better the last 7. Go 0-3 feels like they would probably need to win out and get more than 1 in the B1G tourney. Idk if it is a strong bubble or anything, but feels like 6-4 down the stretch won't cut it.

  27. As Trump and his sycophants in Congress bellow about their stellar border security they really don't have a leg to stand on. Of course the gaslit will argue otherwise but the data shows Biden has sent back a higher percentage of border crossers than Trump did. Trump's policies weren't effective and his wall? LMAO https://www.cato.org/blog/new-data-show-migrants-were-more-likely-be-released-trump-biden 'According to new data published last month, the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has removed a higher percentage of arrested border crossers in its first two years than the Trump DHS did over its last two years. Moreover, migrants were more likely to be released after a border arrest under President Trump than under President Biden. In absolute terms, the Biden DHS is removing 3.5 times as many people per month as the Trump DHS did. These figures are important for understanding how each administration has carried out border enforcement." The reason why more people are attempting to cross the border is more complex than is being painted here. Economic factors here and in their home countries drive most it and right now we don't have enough workers to man our economy. Political conditions are another big driver. The asylum process is law and I guess if you want, you can promote going against the law. I mean that's Trump's thing for sure. Title 42 became invalid when the Covid Emergency expired. If we were still under that MAGA would be crying about it instead. The bipartisan proposal coming out of the Senate looks like a good starting point but if course MAGA under orders from Trump are going to kill it. That's where your outrage should be pointed.

  29. LOL hey now, I do remember Piatkowski, Erick Strickland, Bruce Chubik (garbage man & rebounder), Rich King, Chris Cresswell.....(the 90s). So I do recall a little bit !! They dominated but got upset immediately in March Madness So that's my bar. Meaning, Nebraska basketball - it can be done. At a high level. However, with so much time passing since then, my Husker BBall bar has been dropping lower and lower and lower each year. It's sad but I'm still a fan and quietly on guard until they build something great, with a string of 3 or 4 awesome seasons back to back.

  30. Bad guys kill themselves so they don’t get tortured. Whether they realize they’re terrible or not has nothing to do with it. I assume most realize it though. But we’re talking about voters, and I don’t think a high % of Trump voters think they are bad guys. I know a lot of them just want to save the would-be aborted babies and nothing else matters to them.

  32. Anything but admit their voting choices are terrible. Nobody in history realizes they're the bad guys at the time. They all rationalize their choices and beliefs by whatever means necessary. Eventually, history will remember and judge these people properly.

  36. A co-worker, her daughter played professional basketball in Europe. She lived on Santorini, an island just off Greece. Housing was paid, she had a Per Diem for food, plus her salary. From the stories she tells, she was living very well. She actually preferred playing in Europe vs playing in the WNBA. She was a rotation player in the WNBA, asked to be cut after her second year, lived full time in Greece for 8-10 years, and now back in the States with a very lucrative corporate law gig.
