There's a light rail station about 6 blocks from our hotel. But I don't think we'll make it before they shut the system down for the parade. I'm really heartbroken

That is awful and I am sorry to hear that. We have had 5 suicides this school year at the HS. Neighboring schools have had issues too.  Kids anywhere from 12 to 18 years old taking their own lives.  Really makes you stop and think about the impact you can have on your environment.  Even the smallest act of kindness or attempt at connecting with someone could save a life.  Prayers for those you have lost and for those who are hurting and need help.  

Wow, just found out some details on the kid we knew. More of stupidity/accident than suicide. Apparently he put one bullet in a revolver, spun it and lost.  supposedly was driving with his girlfriend, on cocaine, and he was distraught that she was breaking up with him. Yes, I said he was driving, the car was moving, and his GF was in there as he decided to play drug addled Russian roulette. And why did he have a revolver handy? There's a lot to process with this one.

I went and looked at these last year in Vegas.  Some of the worst cuts i've ever seen and literally took 3 to feed just me.  They were perfect sized for the 2 and 3 year old though.

The other annoying thing is my detector had signaled the laser tone about 15 seconds before he got me and I just ignored it. X or K band is one thing but the laser tone is usually for reals.

@JJ Husker it was in my dad's black 300C after a concert. That Hemi got me! Truth be told it was so much smoother than my Camaro I had no idea I was speeding. 

I feel like if the laser goes off you're already screwed.

@desertshox I do find it a little surprising that the tanks aren't required to have the standard hazmat label on them. That would make sense  This was the first time I've ran into the waiver requirement. This supplier is the largest propane vendor in the county. Not sure if they're being overly cautious/stupid or what. I assume they will continue this procedure, at least until they realize it really does them little good. My best guess is, they had one little issue and their lawyers kneejerked to this ridiculous idea.

Kill got them to a better place, Fleck could get them over the hump.  Not world beaters by any means. 

@The Dude still think that Kill was better than Fleck, but Fleck's got the support and new facilities to recruit for the program better (to where it compensates for his lack of coaching acumen). 

Too bad Kill couldn't have stayed healthy long enough to bring his vision to fruition. 

Their schedule was weaker than ours and they got blown out by Kansas at home! I just don't think it's going to work out but we'll see. The locals are not very excited though

The ceiling for CSU is pretty much the Sonny Lubick years. I think Addazio is a good hire for them but the Rams are pretty much gonna be what they've been. If, like @GSG said, they can win some against Wyoming, CU, Air Force and Boise he could be there awhile. If not CSU will rinse and repeat.

@GSG:  You can't really compare Boston College to Nebraska.  They're a small private college, more like Northwestern.  BC played Clemson, Notre Dame, Florida State, Pitt and Va Tech.  That's a healthy schedule for them.  

@ZRod I can't think of a more essential item if you are cooped up in your home.

IMO, Running the option 10-15 times a game is one thing, but throwing it in here and there is not this offenses strength. TM is a straight line runner, not an option QB.

This o-line couldn't block well enough for the option offense. After re-watching the game, it was decent on passes, but not so great for the run. A little over-rated IMO

JJ, I couldn't agree with you more here. At first, I was like WTF... but then I sat back, put myself in his shoes and realized how harsh this fan base is, and how spoiled we can be.

What a joke. This fan base isn't any more harsh than any other top program.

I’m right there with you JJ. I have only posted a few times since MSU game because no matter what thread I go to and want to say something, it does not matter because it has already been hashed and rehashed and we all know the pros and cons of what we think and why we feel the way we do. It will get better at some point for some reason.

I stopped looking at the football forum for the most part after the Wyoming game. The only two good games we've played this year were Illinois and Purdue, even our wins have been bad.

I was just at The Curtis a few weeks ago. I like the hotel, but they are doing a ton of remodeling right now

I have not received an explanation from anyone. I assume somebody with "the power" had to delete it. Thing is, there was absolutely nothing worthy of being deleted. Not even one butthurt in there. I'm baffled.

Can a status update simply disappear on it's own? It's a mystery, until the mod that deleted it comes forward with an explanation. I think if a mod is going to remove something, they should notify the poster right up front, not wait to be questioned about it.

Right, I think there was a major reworking of the recruiting operation in store. But I think that was coming either way, and going 11-2 last season wouldn't have given much of an assist. The current and ongoing work is a reflection of the new approach. Better groundwork, more attentive, better management (hopefully) but not quite elite.

I would agree that any positive strides we are making in recruiting is due to a new approach. But you will never convince me that recruiting to an 11-2 team is not gobs easier than trying to sign kids to a 6-7 team. Thinking otherwise is just silly.
