@The Dudeyeah, I thought that was common knowledge, but maybe not anymore since he's not been in the public zeitgeist for a while now.

Very scary. My brother-in-law as well as a colleague/friend had Bell's Palsy.  Hopefully, it will run its course quickly and he will be back on the air without any residual symptoms.

My sister had Bells Palsy when she was in her early 20's. She was a good sport about it but it took several months for her face to regain full control. I remember she even had to sleep with an eye patch because she couldn't close her eye at all.

I just found out a friend of mine has it and its been a year and she is still trying to get full control of her face muscles. Wish him the best!

  11. Considering the scope of the FBI's probe into NCAA Basketball players being paid and the top teams from the B1G being implicated...does this mean if we return all of our kids, we're a favorite to win the conference next year? :koolaid2:

  12. DirecTV Now Streaming TV service is $10/mo. for three months for their base package--good enough to watch 63 of the NCAA Tournament games.

    3. VectorVictor

@Enhance Incorrect. You can cancel any time after the three months are up or during the three months, penalty free. You're probably thinking of terrestrial DirecTV.

    4. VectorVictor

      VectorVictor

@knapplc they also have the Apple TV 4K deal going on as well--prepay three months of service at regular price, get an Apple TV 4k 32GB sent to you for "free".

And with this package too, you can cancel any time after your three prepaid months are up.

  13. Disney and Fox have an agreed-upon deal, folks. Let's welcome the Fantastic Four and X-Men (and more importantly, their associated villains) to the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Fox only owned distribution for Episode IV: A New Hope in perpetuity--everything else Lucasfilm (nee Disney) owns lock, stock, and barrel. And Disney wouldn't go to all the trouble to have Fox take money off the top...just like Disney won't ever release a standalone Incredible Hulk movie because Universal owns distribution rights to that and any standalone films (also why Namor was a no-show in the MCU as well).

But yes, this was a fly in the ointment that was keeping Disney from releasing HD versions of the original, unaltered trilogy. This...and  Lucas saying there was no copy of the original Episode IV left in existence...(though one was stitched together by fans in Europe last year, IIRC). Disney doesn't like to share profits on distribution.

This is great. The only X-Men character that I would have liked to see in the MCU is Wolverine, and when it does happen it won't be Hugh Jackman - Would like to see Deadpool in action in the MCU as well.

Thanks guys. I figured that was it. Another reason folks have stopped watching ESPN so much is because other Networks like CBS and FOX are cutting into their pie.

    3. VectorVictor

      VectorVictor

@Toe LOL...you're right. Good catch...though in all honesty, I should probably subscribe to both. :D

@ladyhawke Don't forget shops like BTN (which is majority owned by Fox). After the current deal is done, I wouldn't be shocked if we have another expansion and then more of the Top Tier games are saved for BTN exclusively (instead of ABC/ESPN or FOX OTA/Sports)--remember, the conference gets more ad revenue from the games that air on their channel compared to Disney/FOX.

    4. ladyhawke

      ladyhawke

Vector/Victor I predict that in the very near future sports will be ala carte and folks will be able to order whatever they want to watch wherever they are. That will be great for Husker fans who don’t live in the state!

  23. I just rolled the dice by getting tickets to the Purdue game...plus it will be my youngest kiddo’s first game.
