I mean the fact that Romo can tell you what the play is before they run it..  that's what you want in a color commentator. Plus his shear joy and love of the game always comes through.

I get what you are saying. I have always thought that when you're Nebraska, you have to develop a blue collar identity and play to that character. We're not going to get the players that Duke and Kentucky get, so we are going to have to get players in here and have them worked into a mold and then run the team a certain way and be really good at what we do.

Talent ends up winning a lot of the games, but hard work, coaching and development make a big difference.

It's obviously the same with Husker football. But I think it's more so with basketball. We can get a few more studs on the football field than what we can on a basketball court.

Gotta ask.  Is it an a$$ like the cute girl's a$$ I still remember from college?  Or, the fat guy's a$$ hanging off both sides of the chair at Long John Silver's.

@BigRedBuster fat guys a$$. They blew a 13 point lead in the 2nd half and once they lost their lead, it was like watching chickens running around with their heads cut off. Wouldn’t surprise me if Creighton wins by 12

I wear gray shorts with my Husker shirts all the time, too.  I don't know why it would be goofy.  Better than wearing jorts.

A sad ending for a young man with his priorities in place. May he never be forgotten.

Not that it really matters, but he was born on Nov 6. Either way, guy was a true patriot. Not sure why people made such a big deal out of friendly fire thing, except to try and expose govt cover up, but no matter enemy or friendly fire, guy was epitome of a true patriot and hero.

I have the Pixel 2 and love it. Best phone I’ve had yet. My daughter really likes her Pixel as well. I’ve always been an Android guy and will probably never consider an iPhone. I haven’t seen what’s new with the Pixel 3 but I should be good for at least a couple years with my P2.

Why do you need a Nest? I use the Google assistant on my phone and I can voice command my sprinkler controller and now our thermostat and neither are a Nest. I’m not the most tech savvy person but it’s pretty cool and really handy. Is there some other “Nest” device I’m missing?

I just like the look of the Nest that’s all. I’m sure there are other/better options but my sister in law has one and I really like the functionality

The Incredibles is one of my favorite Disney shows. Just got done watching the first one again in preparation. Probably will go to 2 sometime this week.

I took my 7yo son and 3yo daughter today, and it was really good - both my kids liked it. Also helped that we watched the original last night. As @Dewiz said, not as good as the original but still really good.

Glad to hear it!  We're taking our grandson who is 4 tomorrow.  Thanks for the reviews!

Doomsday by MF Doom. Great tune to cruise around on summer nights.

MEM - I'll have to ck Townes Van Zandte  -- and yes Dylan has to be on everyone's list of story telling singers. 

Based on everything I've read since yesterday, the trailer seems to be a cracked out, somewhat misleading representation of how the game is actually going to be. I don't know if it was a stylistic decision or what but that trailer was... a little scary in terms of what I'm hoping this Battlefield will be. But, I don't think it's going to ultimately play out like that trailer suggested.

As for the battle royale mode, I too agree they'd be wise to include that mode. Those games aren't really my thing but they're incredibly popular and I could see a BR game mode bringing in a lot of players. It'd certainly be more impactful than some of the (somewhat uninteresting) game modes they tried to implement later in the BF1 timeline.

Things I liked:

• Character animations of running through windows and rolling, sliding forward, backwards and sideways. When he kills two enemy’s with a pistol and the way they roll forward looks pretty realistic
• The way buildings get demolished and the way grenades exploded inside or outside the building that effect the structure of the building
• Dragging teammates to safety to revive them
• The new melee kill from behind looks badass
• Sound and graphics are top notch no surprise there
• I like the vegetation that you can add to the guns
• Throwing back grenades. Building sandbags, rebuilding a demolished structure
• No season pass and loot crates/boxes
• Rag doll 
• Large non-fatal explosions knocking you down. Super badass
• Bullet penetration 

Things I don’t like or skeptical about:

• Customization. Hopefully it’s not overblown. The face painting looks dumb and reminds me of Braveheart
• The trailer did really show anything that resembled WWII besides the weapons and vehicles. 
• The prosthetic arm is just weird lol
• Need to see actual gameplay. What was shown on the trailer was underwhelming. Didn’t make me want to preorder the game at all
• The new health bar, less ammo and getting ammo from designed locations 
•  

Sounds like BF is getting back to it's roots with realistic sandbox team play. Funny how a lot of the "new" dynamics have been in other games for 15 years, but are just now finding their way back in. Ragdolls, grenade throwback, and bullet penetration have been something I've sorely missed in BF games.

If it's a Dice game last, then don't worry. It will be another great game, they always have a solid product.
