Too funny @The Dude - i *think* that's the very episode that was playing on my netflix as i drifted off to sleep last night.

Saw 2 cars this week in Milwaukee with Husker license plate frames.  The one was a Lexus SUV.  Told my Wisconsin buddies it was Barry Alvarez!

That's just silly silly. 

Yeah, i don't care about their enjoyment of their time off, VectorVictor - I just don't.  I only care about myself.

 I still remember that drive to work when I tuned to Sports Nightly and heard we made that hire, the folks in the care next to probably thought I was nuts.  

Even back then, there were a fair number of people wishing for Frost.  I didnt personally want him then, but wanted a coach who was a proven winner rather than a .500 guy.  Kind of knew we'd be headed down this path.  (As did many)

Going to scale it back a bit this year after a frenzied finish last year.  Gonna stick with strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and my personal favorite, mint chip.

Plain old vanilla is my favorite but a close second would be pralines and cream or butter brickle.

Homemade ice cream is the best! 

I took the afternoon off.  Woulda been better if I had a meeting that I had to attend.  /facepalm 

Out of the meeting early ... seeing the score ... probably shouldn't have looked.

My first jury included one of my Sped students as a fellow juror.  Seriously, he was 19 years old senior at the high school I was teaching at. He was on my roster.  I did his annual IEP for goodness sake.  The court would not excuse him.  The kicker was after my taking meticulous notes for five days about the case-a man suing geico because he felt they didn't pay out enough, I was informed at the time of jury instructions that I was the alternative juror and was released without ever casting my opinion or even finding out the outcome.  And no free lunch either. 

I didn't mind jury duty the one time I was chosen for an assault case. Took all day but it was interesting. A murder case would be pretty cool imo. But generally jury duty equates to wasting half your day sitting and waiting and not accomplishing anything other than wasting your time. Boring as H-E-L-L is absolutely what it is 98% of the time.

I sat on a murder case that lasted 8 days about 5 years ago.  It was really interesting to see how the system works and actually gave me some optimism in the system to see how serious the 12 of us from all corners of society took our role.

I wish it was just for that.  Love him, but my dog whines about everything

I have 2 pugs.  8yr old gives no craps, just goes about his business, he's a sweetheart.  6yr old girl goes bat s#!t, like she is some sort of bad ass.....she is not.

I like it but then we would want to add men's hockey so would still need to balance the numbers. Really would like to see UNL add some hockey. Its my favorite sport to watch besides Husker football.

If you like to watch any other Husker sports outside of big ones, I think it's a good value.  I'm personally a wrestling junkie so I end up getting the monthly conference pass for $14.95/mo and I feel like I get a fair value.

One time I did the yearly pass but I didn't use it a lot.  Now I buy a monthly pass once in awhile - like early in the basketball season when the games aren't on BTN.

Seems like all the women's sports, save for VB, are only on BTNPlus.  Thanks for the input, peeps.

Looking to see the Griffin kid play, as well as the WR from ISU (Lazard).  And, hope TLee at least doesnt embarrass himself too badly.

Ha! A Boeing 727 once crashed into the living room of the house I was sleeping in. Imagine my surprise when my alarm went off in the morning. 

Yeah, my typical day is about 7-5:30. The only times I have left before 4:30 has been for the kids sports events or I like to schedule doctor/dentist appts for about 4:00. But if it's a particularly rough morning I may snooze it for an extra hour. I  probably wouldn't make it at a job if I had to be there right on time. Gotten spoiled setting my own hours.

They say we're supposed to be available by 8:30, but my boss is extremely chill and doesn't care when we come in and when we leave as long as we get our job done and don't owe anything.

@teachercd - my first plan of attack is actually applying (in a round about way) to the place i was before i took this 7th circle of hell position, so they MIGHT pick up on the fact that I wasn't there for the past 2.5 years.  (Or they might not??).  

Whatever it is will be temporary only till we move back to the Midwest in late summer/early fall.  Just need it to pay the bills until then.

probably used to about the blackshirts. Now they just laugh about it.

The Blackshirt is owned by hard work over time and represents the recognition of that effort.  The Turnover Chain is a reward for dumb luck.  It's like a jackass wearing a tiara and screaming "Look at me, I'm a princess!"  I applaud Frost's comments that it isn't what we wish to focus on here.

Was it possible in the last version of the board? I actually did not know that you could disable viewing avatars. I looked around and have not found anything. You can disable signatures on a per-person basis now. They should have the same feature for avatars, but it looks like they don't.
