  1. Should college athletes be paid? You know, maybe they should get a little bit. The problem with that is, a little bit isn't enough. Then a lot of bit isn't enough. Then the whole pie isn't enough. It's an ugly side of people, Greed that is.

If they are being profited on, the solution is to TAKE AWAY THE PROFIT MONEY. Not to give more money to the kids.

      True2tRA

Take away the profit money? Elaborate? Because if you mean the Universities, administration, and NCAA reps take pay cuts, then Amen. Pretty easy to say that though. Likelihood of it happening......zero. Which makes it an unreasonable point. Or am I misunderstanding?

It's not really about better fan or not. I was just using the definition of the term 'fair weather fan' and it's pretty self explanatory. Nothing more, nothing less. No butthurt needed.

  4. Hines Ward is the biggest douche on the planet. How the f#*k is Green Bay WR corps better than Denver's? Denver has two 1000 yard plus receivers, Green Bay has f'ing ZERO! Don't say it just because it sounds good. Dumbass.

Die hard Denver fan since '86. I'd have to say GB has the better overall group. (Fwiw, I hate the Steelers. But Hines Ward played like he was eight feet tall. Always respected his work ethic and fearlessness.)

      True2tRA

Chatelain said another coach comes in and "easily" wins 8-9 games. Sipple kind of shook his head at the "easily" part. Both admitted Nebraska has talent. Chatelain obviously felt it was time. Both seemed impressed somewhat with Eichorst and felt like Eichorst has an immediate plan. Sipple said something about respecting Iowa. Chatelain responded "they have a pulse" or something to that affect.....kind of a jab.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

They just talked about the lack of identity affecting the mentality of the players. Not knowing what to expect week to week made it hard to establish a mindset.

Lots of stuff we've said here, but our stuff is scattered all over. They said a lot all at once, but it was stuff we'd all agree with.

I don't know, there was more, I can't remember it all. They'll have a replay on the NET website soon I think.

      ladyhawke

It's on again tonight at 11:00 p.m. if you missed it. They really talked up that Shaw guy. I also got the impression that Eichorst knows who the next coach is going to be or already had a short list last year and is acting on it now.

At best the Chefs split with them. Their only hope is a wild card. And I thought the Huskers had a 'supposed' easy schedule. KC's wins are against teams with a combined 3-13 record. Impressive. And yes, Denver has only played marginally better teams. But they're not winning 17-16 and 26-16, either.

Personally I hope Chump stays on the sidelines. Get tired of the announcers referring to him as a lockdown corner when he gets torched 3-4 times per game. I'll take Miller back but Bailey is done. Give him his gold watch and send him packing.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Have to stop the run and more importantly I think, once again, Moreno and Ball have got to have a big game. Keep the ball out if Brady's hands. We played New England earlier in the year and blew a 24-0 start. It was hard to watch. Bright side was, Moreno had 220 yards rushing I believe.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

That home crowd will be rocking the sh#t out of the place. Rivers was flustered as hell. We get in Brady's head, we will kill em.

  21. Denver's defense is being completely overlooked and downright disrespected. I think we will shock some people who haven't seen this defense much. Del Rio will get it done.

      Savage Husker

Denver 's rush defense has been stout in regular season but their total d and total points is ranked 19 or worse. Seattle's offense has gone up against the 3rd and 4th best defenses twice in last 7 games. The 7th best, 8th best, and 15th best in same span. Their offense has been disrespected

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

The argument goes every direction. The NFC west has 3 of the top 6 defenses. The NfC west has the 17,24, and 30th ranked offenses. Which numbers are inflated due to what? Are the offenses sh#t? Or are the defenses that good? Either way, This is a helluva matchup.

I'm gonna say recruiting. We have more depth and more competitive bodies. A lot of youth is getting in the mix right away. It's great and raises the level of the team.

Bo's a pretty savvy X's and O's guy, so I think you give him the right dudes to work with, he'll weave some gold. Should be a fun year if he can stay on target and tune out the media criticism.

Ive aleays thought talent entails much more than bench maxes and 40 times. Ut includes tjings like mentality and knowledge. When we say we lacked some talent in the recent past, its more than raw skill. There has to be a knack for the game.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Count, I completely agree. I think that was part of how we used to always hear Bo talk about guys "making plays" when the opportunity came. We lacked guys that had that football instinct.
