  1. If TA had played Saturday Nebraska would be 6-1 and we would still be saying " well he hasn't played anybody yet". Funny huh.

I's unfortunate that the cart was there, but that didn't deserve an ejection.

I thought the shove was very late, but ya, the cart made it appear ejection worthy.

Why would it be an ejection? Nebraska isn't playing today.

I chuckled when I noticed the Denver players running down to the endzone to cover if the kick came up short so they didn't get burned like Alabama did

    4. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

Helluva kick! That ball had to be close to being hard as a rock with how cold it is!

  5. I'm beginning to believe Knowshon Moreno will be the key to Denvers post season success.

The key for the Broncos will definitely be their defense. Doesn't have to be outstanding, but it can't totally blow like it has at times.

    3. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I've almost considered the defense struggling as a given. Hope I'm wrong. I figure we either win a scoring battle with Peyton, or as I think it may work out, we run, run and run. Keep the ball out of the opponents hands. Not sure how it's going to go.

  6. Russel Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Cam Newton. All mobile. All on playoff teams. Still, as great as it is to have a mobile Qb, they can all sling the rock too. The new age of the QB.

These playoffs are great so far, and are really illustrating what a great age the NFL is in right now. The convergence of the aging greats and rising stars at the qb position.

The kicker is as naysayer preach about them taking too many hit will take it's toll is that they dont have to run it 20 times a game. All they need is that threat, and that one or two big run per game. That's all it takes to open up that small window in the middle of the field.

  9. I hope that rule about spiking the ball with under 3 seconds on the clock doesn't come around to bite us this season. It's a rule we obviously weren't familiar with.

Yea, the rule has been in place for one season, so I guess depending on your definition of 'old' you would say its not a new thing. Regardless, I'm glad we found out about that one at halftime of the FAU game. We clearly were not educated on that one.

Those happen. They called it at the perfect time and it burned us. It happens. The last thing I want is for us to play scared. Aggressiveness can be rewarding and detrimental but that's the nature of it.

I would be mystified if Pelini/Pap did not have something special planned for MSU. Miami's screen game had to be taken seriously. Illinois––well––is Illinois. I have tremendous faith in Pelini's ability when he has sufficient talent to work with (injuries cannot be ignored after a certain point, though).

  11. People want to act like what Pederson did wasn't neary as bad as what Rice did but I guarantee you if there was video of Pederson beating this child, people wouldn't be so ready to sweep this away. The video is the difference.

I guess I didn't understand Landlords point, that's why I didn't really comment towards is point. Is it to say that those players are somehow not good or going to be good because they were committed to Georgia Southern and Memphis before they came to us. Because if that was his point, I'd disagree. It means nothing.

  19. Comments from Jack Stoll-new Husker TE commit- today on the radio, make me really hopeful for the future of Nebrasa's offense. Sounds like TE, maybe two TEs on the field a lot . Maybe a Stanford type of "pro style"-ish.

I know Zoogs. I literally put it as "serious question Huskerboard" because I literally am just trying to figure out if rotating is becoming a trend in football or what the idea behind it is. I know the old school guy in me says, "team's don't rotate, build chemistry and play together", but football is a changing game, no denying that. Watch Baylor.....this game is changing. Yet, Old Dog K-State can still give them a run for their money...I love it.
