cornographic
Sorry, am very tarty with the kudos. Saw the headline scrolling on ESPN, though, when this happened--put a huge smile on my face! Could this be the best WR @ NU since Irving? Me thinks so. Great get for the coaching staff! Keep the 4*s coming! I'd argue that Jordan Westerkamp, who is poised to break about every single record we have for receiving, is the best WR @ NU since Irving. I think Stanley Morgan could develop into something even better. As for highest ranked: Maurice Purify was the highest rated WR recruit we've gotten here. He was ranked higher than any receiver we've in gotten since modern recruiting began to be tracked. Niles Paul had a higher 247 composite ranking than KJJ. Jordan Westrekamp was a 4* WR and ranked about the same as KJJ. So I would say no, he's not the best WR recruit since Irving. Still, I like him and he has room to grow. If he puts in the work, he might be one of the greats. Here's hoping he does Welp, If Westy can break every rcving record with TA throwing to(at) him, just think what KJJ could do with POB or Gebbia! But, I'm going on pure hype at this time. along with a very impressive offers list, re: Keyshawn, and assume he will grow into said hype. I'm assuming he's more in the realm of a home run hitter type WR as was Irving whereas Westy is more the possession type--and a very gifted possession guy at that, having about the best hands as you will ever see anywhere, anytime. So no, I wouldn't trade Westy for pretty much any other possession rcvr. As to Purify, well, I file him in the bust category, a talented physical specimen who never did much @ NU or in the NFL. Paul, IMO, was a 3* talent that overachieved. I never saw him as a natural WR, physically speaking, but he's held his own for a decent career in the pros, so good for him. Morgan definitely has potential to be one of our better ones, though, to my tastes, he lacks home run speed and cutting ability, and DPL will hopefully keep making noise, but something tells me KJJ will be a cut above these guys. You should edit your Morgan statement. That guy is a stud and he's just going to get better and better and better and better and... Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Yeah I think Morgan will have a pretty big year this year. Especially if Westerkamp isn't full go. Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
Morgan is a future NFL caliber receiver Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
We are assembling the best group of receivers in Husker history. This seems to me to be almost impossible to argue. Assuming we bring in as good or better group of additions as we did last year, this team will be able to field half a dozen all conference caliber guys. We have barely had more than one on any team at any given time really. Our RBs are pretty salty as well, but certainly we need to bring in 2 4 or even 5 star level guys - 6' or taller and 210 lbs or bigger with 4.5 speed and good power and agility. There should be no reason Nebraska does not recruit one of the top 20 RBs nationally every year and two are realistic. Especially after this fall's season. I look forward to winning a bunch of games and being relavant nationally. ESPN will have to take time to discuss the Husker game every week. The O line and D guys will come as well as they see Nebraska again being the talk of the nation. Quote Link to comment

ScottyIce
Keyshawn sounded confident saying another commit will be coming soon. Says the trip opened up lots of eyes in Cali boys. 1 Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
I kinda like Keyshawn Sr. Going after the SEC loving ESPN writers... I know it wasn't because of anything to do with the SEC, but still fun. Quote Link to comment
