VectorVictor
1) Our O-Line is garbage at this point. Poor pass protection, Cam Jurgens still can't snap consistently, and we can't run between the tackles if our life depended on it (which it will). 2) Opposing teams now have a blueprint to stop Martinez--delay blitzes and stunts to take him out of rhythm. 3) Our playcalling was suspect in the second half on both sides of the ball...but mostly the offense. 4) As much as our defense was doing well the first half, they really let us down in the second...but I partially blame the offense for this. 5) It's going to be a long f*****g season if we can't find a legitimate rushing attack between the tackles. 6) Or a kicker. 7) Or an OC? 3 1 Quote Link to comment
I AM FOOT FOOT
Frost needs to let Walter's call the plays, Chin well I haven't changed my mind about him since he was at ucf. Neither of these guys can adapt to adjustments made by opponents. This was a first year staff that did this. Quote Link to comment
brophog
This team doesn’t make a bowl. There will be an open QB competition next spring. Quote Link to comment
PoloWearingBeaver
This is still a 4-8 team. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
Martinez had a really poor game. A busted coverage early and a couple Washington catch and runs really made his stats look way better than his performance. He’s holding the ball way too long. First half the pass protection held good enough to mask his slow decision making. Second half they were able to add pressure. 3 Quote Link to comment
Huskinator
This team has come out at half time twice now with their foot off the gas pedal. They need to put the pedal to the floor and throttle a team in the second half. It’s got all the right components to be great, just need to see it themselves. 1 Quote Link to comment
Huckleberry Muhammad
Ugh... we learned that the doormat team in the PAC 12 is better than us, a Big Ten team. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNation1
1. Nebraska is overrated and still not a very good team. 2. This coaching staff was totally outdone in the 2nd half. 3. Chins defense is not ready for prime time. 4. Our kicking game is still an issue. 5. Our offense still has a lot of weapons but could not put the game away in the 3rd quarter. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
ActualCornHusker
1. When you can't run between the tackles effectively AT ALL, it makes it hard to be efficient on offense, no matter how good your skill players and QB are. 2. Defense got burned some in the 2nd half, but i blame the offense. 2nd week in a row the D gets left out there and gets worn down 3. I miss Devine Ozigbo 2 Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I learned I'm so used to losing the losses don't affect me as badly anymore. 4 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
1. Greg Austin is full of it saying he has no issues running 8/9 guys out there. Serious job evaluations should take place this week for starting spots on the OLine 2. Jojo needs to be on the field. Like always. Colin Miller, buh bye 3. Noa only gets thrown to when he is covered. Guy has ran open A TON 4. The fun innovative offense we saw last year obviously reflects lesson 1. Either Scott needs to let them learn on the fly with those plays, or focus on their strengths(good luck with that one) 5. Adrian is amiss. Something is not there. Remember the swag that got him flagged on the TD vs Iowa???? Where is that guy. Not this scared boy 6. Williams is missed at safety. A bunch. 7. A team can get beat by a f#&%ing flea flicker in real life not just Super Techmo Bowl 8. Marijuana laws causing CU to storm the field obviously have made NU relevant again 1 1 Quote Link to comment
YellowShirt
Until we have a solid O Line and can run the ball consistently, we are hosed as a program. 3 Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
Just now, Moiraine said: I learned I'm so used to losing the loses don't affect me as badly anymore. Ya know, I was more nervous when we were up 10 than when we were down 3. 2 Quote Link to comment
hskrpwr13
This isn't the Scott Frost I thought we were getting from Oregon/UCF. The play calling isn't aggressive and we still play "dumb" football, akin to what we had the last couple of Pelini's years and Riley's tenure. We may have another Taylor Martinez at QB, and not in a good way. On a positive, the team is definitely better at forcing fumbles/turnovers this season. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
The Duke
What did we learn? Frost and his entire coaching staff got flat out-coached. I truly miss playing Colorado EVERY...DAMN...YEAR. (I'll take this every year over the Big 10) I'll have more thoughts later. Quote Link to comment
