  3. Trying in the sense he's applying completely backwards and incorrect ideas about economics and a whole bunch of snake oil and convincing rubes that s*** is ice cream? He slapped a new coat of paint on NAFTA and is trying to convince everyone it's some amazing new thing. What if, instead of some storybook ending at the end of the trade war with China, we both just lose? Both are economies take a hit an average Americans wind up paying more for a lot of crap we need? American manufacturing is currently in a recession. The yield curve has inverted, which historically has been a very strong predictor of an upcoming recession. We never even hit 3% growth, when we were promised 5%. And the juice from the tax cuts is running out. To top it all off, Mexico is not paying for the wall, it'll come out of our tax dollars. And my generation, and my children oh, and my children's children, will wind up paying for his inaction on climate change and his indifference to staggering debt increases for the rest of our lives. Excuse me if I'm not bowing down to kiss the dude's ring.

  4. using Q level logic i counter with this Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide on 8/10/19. 8 + 10 + 19 = 37 The name Bill Barr has 8 letters. 37 + 8 = 45 Donald Trump is the 45th President.

  5. obama signed several the paris accords which trump dropped out of a nuclear arms treaty with russia that trump dropped the trans-pacific trade deal...while not finished it was also dropped by trump. dropping it without a new deal actually gave china more ammo for their trade war against us. there were other smaller trade deals also signed FWIW the original nafta which is still being used as the new agreement hasn't been ratified by anyone was signed by clinton

  7. Reminds of a bit by Bill Maher this weekend about Fox News that was something to the effect of "climate change is a hoax, Russian interference is a hoax, white supremacy is a hoax, but the Clintons running an underground sex ring in a pizza parlor is totally believable."

  16. It was hard not to when it seemed like every time we actually went to it the play went for 15 yards automatic. Tim Beck was so god damn frustrating because I loved the premise and scheme of his offense and it fit Nebraska so well but he wasn't the right person to run it at a high enough level.

  20. Setting aside some next level excuse making for now... This presumes good faith on the part of Trump and bad faith on the part of past administrations. That's not a presumption we share. Trump's slowly tightening his anchor around our economy because he's convinced rubes he's winning. He's not. Trump's message about helping the working class was a good one. It's too bad the guy in charge of carrying it out is an idiot.

  21. What if the true freshman backup, who came here saying that he planned on redshirting because he only had one full year at QB in high school, doesn’t need to play (besides where they squeeze him in the new 4 game allotment) because the starter is so phenomenal, doesn’t get hurt this year, and the 3rd string QB can do mop up duty in our 4 blowout wins? Still don’t redshirt him? Hes going to redshirt. He has a long long way to go.

  22. .......... or those SEC money bags are hard to say no to lol Kentucky tried it with Wan’Dale and Auburn is trying it here. Not saying money is 100% involved but if you’re heavily leaning toward a school, and you lead everyone in the country on to think you’re going to that school, then you make a surprise commitment to a different school.. The kid will eventually flip (like Wan’Dale did) or there’s something real enticing making you reconsider Just my thoughts of course

  23. Anyone ever try to stream a game via hotspot? How well did it work? What’s the usage? about 1GB per hour? With my plan I have access to 15GB worth of hotspot at 4G speed. Was hoping to maybe stream the game at the campsite instead of going to a bar.

  27. It's amazing how the same MAGA dips#!ts and bots pushing a narrative pivot so cleanly back to some boogeyman like the Clintons in order to avoid talking about Epstein's association to their guy. Of course, the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is out there retweeting that crap because it helps him, though...

  28. He competed all track season with a hamstring injury. He ran 10.96 & 22.36 this season nursing an injury. He only ran fast enough to win without doing added damage. His jumps were top in the state 48-10 Triple Jump and 23-10.5 Long Jump. He’s a 10.76 PR 100 meters healthy. Stats at link below! https://mn.milesplit.com/athletes/5431619/stats

  29. So....I am sitting here watching my beloved Cowboys in pre-season. The back-ups are in and I see this one guy making plays. The announcers are talking about how big of an impact he has made in training camp. I keep watching. The guy gets hurt, looks like a pretty serious injury. Turns out it was Luke Gifford. The guy looked like a completely different player than when he was at Nebraska. I had no idea he was with Dallas. I hope is injury isn't as serious as it looked. He looked really really good prior to the injury.

  34. Zero people really think 8-4 are okay...there are a few that will tell you they are okay with it but they aren't. They are using it as a defense mechanism. Because they have been hurt so many times the last 4 seasons. 9 wins would be great. But really I think they need 2 wins out of OSU, Wisky, Iowa.

  36. I think it would do everyone well to admit there's a whole stew of problems going on. And one of those problems is sweeping generalizations that assign every problem to either the Left or Right. It's a mental health issue. But it's not simply the "mentally ill." There's just a lot of free-floating anxiety out there. Millennials are the first generation of Americans expected to die younger and poorer than their parents. There's rampant extinction going on with the planet and the doomsday warnings are within our lifetimes. Racism and xenophobia are increasing worldwide, and far more prevalent than a lot of Americans like me wanted to believe. There's a strain of American patriot defending Nazis and the Confederacy, and America's top-rated news network is serving as their apologists. That's just nuts. People of all political stripes seem to think the U.S. Constitution is being trampled and that our system of checks and balances is being dismantled. People buy into the craziest conspiracy theories, but some of the craziest are suddenly more believable. There is a calculated war on science, academia, and facts in general, so the truth is open to the loudest bidder. It's unsettling to say the least. What mass shooters have in common isn't mental illness; it's a sense of being powerless in a life without a future. It's not exactly irrational. But they also think they can exact revenge on the people who seem happier/luckier than they are. That's sick. But the sentiment is replicated millions of time every day on the Internet, without guns. Everyone is just way too angry and acting out. I dunno. Film, TV, and video games seem to have a place in this, but it's not uniquely American. I'm not buying that it's the lack of prayer in public schools, but you gotta think some spirituality and community and belief in a greater good would help. And while I would never dream that background checks and select weapons bans would solve the violence and anxiety itself, how could it possibly hurt?

  37. Just got back from a visit to my parents who whole heartedly support Trump. Because "immigration". My mom was a union member for years and gets a pension monthly and struggles to vote R supposedly - she did vote Obama but hated Hillary (ironically that coincided with retirement and 24/7 Fox viewing). They complained openly during my visit about how their liberal friends belittle trump and call him names, referring to his small hands etc (momentarily followed up by mom calling Elizabeth Warren "Pocahantas") "Trump has done some great things" they say - when I ask them what they say: the economy (so I share data showing it flat currently and the trend from Obama years) as well as overall comparison by S&P at the same time in both administrations. I will never move my dad, but I did attempt to speak facts to my mother. Urging her to just read and make her own opinion instead of looking at Fox opinion shows and thinking they're right and the whole store. If she must watch Fox then to watch the news, Chris Wallace, Bret Baier, Shep Smith - actual news people. We discussed the news bubble graph that buckets by bias - that was an interesting dialogue. She thinks every example I shared (NPR, NYTimes, WaPo, etc) is liberal. I posed the question (and I know she's still thinking about it), does she think that there's a chance she views all sources other than Fox as liberal because she doesn't recognize their views? That perhaps her limited exposure has her thinking that everything else, including local papers are liberal and biased? I mean seriously - every periodical, pod case, tv option - they're all biased in a liberal tilt? I am just broken hearted.
