  1. Frost can not be fired soon enough.

  5. I have no idea if Frost is a good coach/great coach/poor coach. I guess we’ll know on 20 years. The only way for me to judge is the product I see on the field and the win/loss record he has here. UCF doesn’t matter to me anymore. I have no idea about talent either. I know lots love to look at recruiting stars, but I think there’s more to it then that. BUT the willingness to throw these years away to build “culture” has never rang right with me. Don’t ask me to restate exact words from 2018/19/20, but you all know as well as I do the coach speak from Frost and Moos was this is a project that has to be completely rebuilt and that 3-5 years and Frost was going to do it his way. Many players were shown the door because of the Frost culture. Sure, a few would have left anyway, as there is always discipline issues, but what was wrong with making adjustments to win early and win often? the best recruiting tool is winning. and really by year three, shouldn’t we have seen some improvement? Several of you have argued with me vehemently that there is progress. But why do you have to be an insider or an x’s or o’s guru to see it?

  7. Wandale going to me gets a whatever reaction since he would go to Kentucky and their offense is terrible. He would end up regretting it. For myself personally, I've posted before I expect him to go after next season anyways so if Wandale does leave, then it will force Frost to actually use all of his skill talent insted of featuring Wandale, making it easy for defenses to gameplan.

  8. Guys even if he leaves its not a big deal. Just like when speilman left its better if he doesn't want to be here for him to leave before he becomes a locker room cancer. Plus it just gives the young promising receivers who did nothing this year or Warner who might someday play like a captain to step up. I mean it all worked out fine when speilman left.

  9. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/board/142/Contents/transfer-portal-thread--152253689/?page=114 here is the link to the 247 board in which the post of Fong on the 247 Kentucky board was shared. When I looked it was originally a screenshot and now appears to be behind a paywall. Basically something like his sources expect that Wan’Dale is going to Kentucky as well. Wan’Dale appears not to be in the portal just yet. Again, if this happens Frost is basically done. Gone. Good as fired.

  10. You pretty well echoed my thoughts. Wan’dale is a really good player and we will miss him but I think we have some guys that could step in without a huge drop off.. And I really do feel that sometimes Frost hampers our offense because he goes into the game saying x player has to get 15 touches. Just seems forced at times vs just calling your best play. My real concern is that Wan’dale is by all accounts a great kid, a leader, and fit our desired “culture”. Pretty much Frost’s prize pony, and if he leaves I think it really does raise some legitimate questions.

  11. Some act like a skill player at WR will make the difference between 3 wins or 4 wins. No. Better OL play is where you can go from 3 to 8 wins type of improvement. It's always been about the LOS and always will be.

  13. I just hope Moos or whoever doesn't prolong the inevitable with Frost after next season. Hit the reset button on the football program.

  14. With a QB like AM and an OC like Frost, who can blame him .

  15. Okay. So now IS the correct time for those that have been waiting to call for Frost’s head over Wandale leaving to begin? Ive always been a little slow and am never sure when it’s proper for these things to commence. My tendency would be to wait for the actual news but then again I’ve never been all that interested in saying I told ya so or pretending I was somehow privy to inside info that others were oblivious to. You guys are sure welcome to proceed as you wish.

  16. Not too concerned about skill position players leaving. Need the continued development of the OL as a priority.

  17. Lol.. This all could have just been started by some guy on a Kentucky message board that doesn’t know s#!t. It gets repeated a few times and all of a sudden its a done deal. Wiltfong is right 90% of the time because he flip at the last second based on what he’s hearing but he doesn’t have inside sources everywhere. Maybe Wan’dale leaves, or just maybe a bunch of people have their panties in a wad over absolutely nothing.

  18. Now the #1 jersey offered to the Hawaii WR that Nebraska might land in Feb. signing day makes more sense. I do think it would be pretty dumb to go to Kentucky from a football perspective. The offense needs to thrive in all phases, not feature Wandale, IMO. Could be a blessing, IMO.

  19. I don't want him to leave but at this point after watching the way the offense was handled last year by Frost/Lubick sadly I would not blame him in the least. Again hope it's not true and will wait to hear it from WD himself if it is indeed true.

  20. Well a defense that has improved each year, an offense that has been admittedly terrible... hard to imagine it being worse and a few 5th year guys wanting to come back and give it another go. If the program was in fire sale mode, I wouldn’t expect them to come back. Like many fans, I don’t want to see WR leave. However, my hope is that if he does decide to leave, the coaches will get creative again and the young guys get a full camp schedule in 2021.

  21. Realism. I don't know what anyone has seen that would inspire optimism. I'm going into next season expecting a 5th straight bowl-less season. If we happen to be decent, then I'll welcome the surprise.

  22. Here's what's really crazy, though - the media sat through five years of trump's bloviating, bullying and bashing and rarely, if ever, used direct words like "lie" or "liar" to describe him. I suggest that not only has the media not been hard enough on trump, they coddled him, and bear significant blame for the situation we find ourselves in today.

  23. The social media fallout continues. First trump gets banned from Facebook and Twitter, now Lindsey Graham has been banned from Grindr.

  24. It’s probably my tenuous grasp on the purpose of message board discussion but won’t we have time after rumors are confirmed to spout all the doom & gloom? I don’t doubt that Wiltfong is a better than average source but man I tire of people freaking out before things are definite. Guess I don’t get the allure of being a Husker fan and not hoping for the best.

  25. Without Wan’Dale we win maybe one game this year. 1-2 games next year. He’s done. Our offense is horrible even with him. No QB, no RB, Frost OL, no WRs. TE room is good. Primed for 100s ranking in total yards. The defense is above average-good but that won’t be enough. Special teams is horrible.

  26. Many QB have moved to the wr/slot position beyond college. Not a stretch. Everyone knows that hus future, especially if any hope for nfl will be at slot, not QB. Why are you acting like that would be unrealistic? Probably quicker than WanDale, maybe best athlete on team....jet sweeps, intermediate routes. This staff is NOT TOAST bc of one player leaving. Wow

  29. So, two years ago, we had Morgan and needed that second. Morgan left and then we said we would be okay because we had Spielman [I think ... Lindsey was in there also]. What we saw was that we needed one more good receiver to step up. We got Wandale and he was gonna be the change as a good #2 and that would open up Spielman. Spielman left and then the board says we will be fine, we have Wandale ... we just need someone else to step . Now it's Wandale who will leave and we are back to "we will be fine" ... but we will actually have no proved WR ... let alone a QB who could throw to a #1 WR. Here is my question ... what if Morgan stays another year [obviously, he couldn't], what if Spielman stayed another year, what if Wandale stays another year. See ... it's all these "move on's" that put us back to the "next man up" and we aren't deep enough to bear these types of things. So, I see Wandale moving on as the death of "the hope in Frost". Guys who came here thinking they were going to win a championship in the next few years see that "it" isn't happening under Frost. I agree that Wandale is a "component piece" ... but if we could actually keep the WR's for the full term we would be so much better in production. What I do see is that Wandale sees a better future elsewhere where Frost/QB's are better or have a better use of him. I don't think Wandale is the type of player to move on from a program that was meeting his expectation. So, rather than believe that someone else will "step up" ... we really need to be asking why the "face of the franchise" is moving on. I'm still a believer that it's the building of the DL group and the OL group that will create the best avenue to success ... but to lose a "piece" like Wandale for his Junior and Senior season is something we cannot afford. Heck this year is a free year, so I think we would have Wandale for three more years if he stayed. Why would we be okay to see this piece leave. Huskers ... we have a problem! That's what I see.

  30. Hope he stays. If not oh well. Much bigger deal that CTB and other important defenders are back. wandale is good but he is 5’6 and doesn’t have great too end speed. He is better as a component piece than the focal point of an offense. He is not the best wr on any team in the west but us and maybe northwestern and wiscy. We will be fine if Omar is able to play and brown, Nixon and betts get going

  31. People were blasting the defense while some were saying they were getting better. Why? Because they were getting better. It took 3 seasons for more people to realize it. Now NFL level talent is RETURNING to play on D. We just need the offense to come together and winning seasons will be had. Wandale was never the difference between a losing record and a winning record and even without him next season he was never going to be the reason we would go to abowl game. The reason we would go to a bowl game will be the LOS and always will be.

  32. Until our OL is tight, skill positions won't produce. .....and we're in a better direction than we EVER were under Riley. And, as.youve self admitted, you criticize every coach we've had including Osborne

  33. I am impressed by your optimism. Truly. When the leading receiver is leaving (possibly) you find that silver lining. Since Frost has been here, you have not step back from your support.

  34. I think it’s important to remember that Moos has been pretty transparent that this is a multi-year rebuilding. Do we need to see offensive and special teams progress this coming year? Yes. However, we can at least be proud of the defensive improvement year over year. Unlike the Riley era where we had no phase that was close to good, our defense was pretty impressive considering the circumstances this year. Should Wandale transfer, maybe it forces the offense to change in philosophy and function? Maybe we take on more of Iowa State look with lots of tall receivers, tight ends and a heavy workload for running backs? I hope we keep him here as he is a good team member but let’s take a step back from the ledge if he decides to transfer.

  35. I don't even live in FL and even I'm well aware of just how horrible Desantis is. Definitely in line with other well known Republicans who supported Trump and he also aligned himself with Trump's take/attitude on Covid (until it was way too late...) which of course was that it wasn't 'that big of a deal' and that it was 'getting much much much better/we're turning the corner now' blah blah blah'. He's shown that he definitely has no business being the governor of any state let a lone Florida but he would also get pummelled if ever ran for President in the first place. You can't stand a chance at running for President if you've already got blood on your hands and that would certainly be on center stage if he even ran. Good luck with all that.

  36. Personally I think losing Wandale would be a big, big loss for this program. I cant blame him though- the offense he joined has NOT been the one that was advertised. I hope he stays and we fix it together, but I wish him the best wherver he goes- hopefully its place that can fully use him & his abilities. Another sting for Husker fans if true, he has been one of the few true bright spots of the frost era...

  37. No but I’ll just be here to collect your L Worst comes to worst I eat crow after using legitimate sources instead of grasping at straws like most other rumors spouted in here and we have Wan’Dale and win 3-4 games next year.

  43. I hope that there are a lot of people who have “supported” Trump in the past because he was the only candidate under the Republican Party, and now that they see his most vocal supporters are racist, anti-Semite, don’t care about cops, and a plethora of other evil characteristics. Hopefully “Trump’s America” is coming to an end.

  45. I’m absolutely shocked at something. I have a good friend that has been a member of the cult from day one. It was so bad that I really stopped wanting to be around him. He’s one that always had a Trump hat on and a Trump flag in his yard. last night I was in a small group of guys having a few beers. I noticed he didn’t have a Trump hat on. He then admitted he took his flag down because he didn’t support him anymore. I grabbed him and gave him a hug because I was so shocked. Hopefully there are a lot more that come to this point.

  48. So far all of the people I've read about getting arrested are from states where their vote counts more than it should, and the things they care about are celebrated by most Americans and most politicians including Democrats. The military, Christianity, farmers. It is almost impossible to get elected if you aren't Christian or say anything not nice about those things. I'm sick and tired of the persecution complex people in rural areas seem to have, as evidenced by their overwhelming support of Trump and their incessant whining about flyover country. They are supposed to be made of tougher stuff than this. They seem to think equality for others means something bad happens to them, which is obviously bulls#!t.

  49. I truly want Frost to succeed. I have some concerns, but hoping for the sake of turning NU around the switch gets flipped and he's here a long time. I do no longer believe the mantra "If not Frost, then who"....A lot of good coaches out there.
