0 to 10% chance of rain Monday through Thursday in Iowa. Friday it jumps to 70%. Mid 40's for a temp.

Most of the NFL pundits I hear are saying that the display that KC and LA put on last night is the future of the league. I've heard the phrase "Playing basketball on grass" many times in the last month. I'm thinking that should play into Nebraska's recruiting speech for QB's, WR's and RB's that want to go beyond college.

Impressive day for Husker sports. Ladies Volleyball in the Final Four and the mens Basketball team beats Creighton. Now we just need a few of the visiting football players to commit tonight or tomorrow.

Wisconsin playing Miami in NYC. So far the Badgers are chewing up the Hurricanes.
-
We had chances and the holding penalties bite us in the a$$ again but damn refs call the interference like you would if Wisconsin was on offense.

Teddy Allen had 37 points for New Mex St in their win over U Conn.

His uncle is a friend of mine, here in Tucson. Told his uncle he couldn't get along with the coach, at Neb.
Was told he also was a little hard to control. Little bit of a wild streak, in him. You could see a little of that in Thursday's game.
He did play a heck of a game. To bad he couldn't have stuck around, our program.
GBR!!!

Remember Michael Jacobson the basketball player who played for Tim Miles? Never played a down of football at Nebraska or Iowa St. Now plays TE for the Indianapolis Colts and caught a touchdown last night.
-
I remember Keith Neubert who played 4 years of basketball at NU in the late 80s, before having a bit of a career in the NFL. I couldn't remember if he played any football at NU, but it turns out he played 1 year with the football team.

After watching tonight's 30 for 30 about the Duke Lacrosse team, I wonder how much money Duke Univ had to pay to coaches and players who were hung out to dry. I'm guessing (multiple) 10's of millions.

So what Ohio St classic football game is showing tonight on the BTN?

Bill Clinton tried to cheer up Hillary Clinton today by reminding her that Nelson Mandela wasn't elected president until after serving 27 years in prison.
-
Why is it that everytime Nebraska is on tv the game before goes long or overtime?
-
Refs are screwing Gonzaga. Ticky Tac offensive fouls.

I watched several old Husker games the last 24 hours waiting on this storm. Huskers vs Miss St in the Sun Bowl. Nu vs Houston in the Cotton Bowl and Nu vs Oklahoma in 1988 regular season. That D was impressive.

My youngest son and 3 team mates are representing Nebraska in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Championship today and tomorrow in South Carolina. They won the regional in Lincoln then won the state tournament in Valentine a month ago.

Wandale Robinson just
tore em lose from their shoes" in the All American Bowl. -
I'm not a fan of the Rams, but I hope Suh tears Brady a new one!

It’s great to see O lineman Hunter Anthony from Oklahoma St chose to transfer to the Huskers. He played yesterday in their bowl game win over Notre Dame

Singer/actor “Meatloaf” passed away yesterday at age 74.

If Nebraska gets out of our slump mostly due to the portal and starts winning games again at a crazy pace for a couple years, how long do you think it will take the Big Ten to put a limit on the number of portal players a team can grab in one year?
-
Not sure. But I also think things will change fairly soon (or settle down) with NIL and the transfer portal. A monster was created out of a good idea originally. Too many hands F'd it up. The original idea was good and helpful (with NIL and transferring). Without leadership and rules in place for all to follow, this is what you get.
-
I guess what I'm comparing it to is the decision when the Big 12 was formed that restricted the number of Prop 48 players a school could enroll per year. The vote was 11-1against the policy that Nebraska used to it's advantage. It was one way to bring the Husker program back to earth after many years of success.

.Between Bear Bryant and Nick Saban Alabama hired and fired 8 coaches. Their tenure was 3,2,6,3,2,0,3 and 1 year. It was pretty much a revolving door till Nicky came along.

No private schools in the finals of the Nebraska Boys Basketball Tourney. I don't remember that ever happening.
