No private schools in the finals of the Nebraska Boys Basketball Tourney. I don't remember that ever happening.

On a recent trip I drove from Wash DC back to central Nebr. Two states vie for the title of worst interstate road conditions. Indiana noses out Illinois. Both states were pathetic. Spent the night in Columbus OH and drove to see the stadium before leaving.

One thing about college and pro basketball I'd like to change. I see a lot of guards dribbling with a defender along side. The defender is making minimal contact but as they get close to the rim the dribbler suddenly collides with the defender....sing him as a brake then shoots a short jumper. The foul is called 99% of the time against the defender when he didn't initiate the contact. Even though he is still moving that space he occupies should be his and not the dribbler.

Prayers to the Nebraska family that lost their 2 year old child to an alligator attack at a Disney resort last evening. I can't imagine the pain they are feeling today.

Refs are screwing Gonzaga. Ticky Tac offensive fouls.

Rusillo and Kanal on ESPN both stating they think Nebraska should be rated. It might be hard to do till a few teams in the 15-25 rank lose.

Saturday was a hugeb day for Hastings College. The volleyball girls won the national championship after being down 2 games to none. The GPAC conference that Hastings plays in had 3 teams of the final fourThat same day the mens soccer team won the national title 1-0. e

I look at it this way. If I go to a restaurant, I go there because the food is good and the wait staff is friendly.. When I'm done I get a bill. I don't expect the owners of the place to pay for the building and the food so I can eat free. This is where I get the bulk of my Husker info and I would miss it if it was gone.

The fly that landed on HRC's face last night has been found dead. It's wings were pulled out and it had a pin stuck into its back. Coroner ruled it a suicide.

The NBA All Star Game was unwatchable. Everyone made money and no one was injured. Everyone won except those who enjoy real basketball.

Thinking of all the native Texans who have been great at quarterbacking for schools outside of the state of Texas the last 4 or 5 years, it is amazing that there hasn't been a good one play for the Longhorns recently. And we think we've had Qb issues!s

Two summers ago I started a new hobby (sport) you may or may not find interesting. I wanted to compete in a track event at the Cornhusker State Games and decided to easiest event might be the 50 Meter sprint. I didn't place in the top three so I decided to work my butt off the next winter and was in much better shape going into spring. huKSer....I know what you mean. I'm sure someone college age would look at these seniors meets and laugh. Last year at the National Meet in Minneapolis the mens age 60-64 (my age group) had a winning time of 6.68 in the 50 M and 8th place was 7.22. The 100 M final was won in 11.91. These are guys nearing retirement age.
