The Pacific was good. Not up there with Band of Brothers. But worth watching.

I though they did just as good of a job with the Pacific. The difference is that, for me anyway, the war in the Pacific just wasn't quite as interesting and was a bit slower slog. Trying to dig them out of seemingly unimportant obscure islands is quite a bit different feel than the big D day invasion and battling the Krauts in Europe. But it was still done very good.

I Still haven't made it through The Pacific. I watched the first few episodes awhile back, and it just seemd likke everyone was dying.

Normally I'd say get a .22lr and go through a few thousand rounds to familiarize yourself . . . but given how scarce .22 ammo is these days that'd probably be bad advice.

Shoot 9mm, 40, 45 cal's so you can get a feel for what you're comfortable shooting. PM me if you want more info from someone who has shot 100,000's of rounds
