Having rotary cuff surgery tomorrow at 9. I think it will be fine.

Wow. Not that impressed with Wisconsin. Their defense is good but offense looks vulnerable. Northwest looks good. I'm so impressed with NW coach. He's right on the sidelines coaching his guys as they play.

Wow! Scott Frost has spoken! Look at his response (2012 interview). Makes you hopeful! http://www.omaha.com/huskers/the-story-of-scott-frost-s-love-hate-relationship-with/article_d23a0bb0-ba7f-11e7-85a1-07e004b8e998.html

One part of the "Husker fans are the greatest" that I am sour on is how we treat our own. We pride ourselves on welcoming opposing fans to Memorial Stadium and clapping for the visiting team win or lose. However we can be the most lame, sour, bitter and nasty bunch around to our coaches and players. The way I look at it is this: Our coaches are my coaches till they aren't and I will support them. Same way with players. The day I am perfect I can expect the players to be faultless and perfect. Till then and long after their playing days are over they will be a part of the Husker family.

So happy for Connie Yori! Creighton hired her as the Program Advisor for Women’s Basketball!

Did anyone hear Scott on Golic & Wingo this morning? Here’s a synopsis. I would’ve liked to have heard it. Golic inadvertently called Scott the new coach at Alabama! Lol

O am a Happy camper this evening! We found a Tony Roma's restaurant here in Denver! We used to have one in Omaha during the 90's but they all of a sudden closed! It was so fun! Great Onion Loaf, baked potato soup and baby back ribs. BUT! No dirt cup for the kids! Lol We also found out there is one downtown as well. Good times!

@ColoradoHusk if you know of any locally owned BBQ joints in the Denver area that are good please share. We've eaten at Bennett's Pit BBQ out in the Stapleton area, around Havanna and I-70 I think, and it's been pretty decent but I really don't know of any others. I think it may even be a chain. Would like to know of any really good authentic BBQ places, seems all I'm aware of are chain places and they typically take shortcuts.

Knappic-Disaster on the Tour de France today! Be sure and watch it!

Those cobblestones are no joke. Worst part about my trips to France. My feet still wince at the thought of them.
Too bad for Richie Porte. They shouldn't be riding on those surfaces at all, and now he's out due to those stupid cobbles.
Also, I can commiserate with Froome about this. Been there!
-
Knappic-I agree with you about the cobbles. I was surprised that Bob Roll was so adamant about leaving them in while Christian V agreed with us. I felt really sorry for TeJay Van Garderan. Bright side is that Greg V is still in yellow for BMC and I was really happy for John Degankolb. Rest day tomorrow!
(Have you rode the tour route in France? A friend of mine did that a few years ago. Very cool.)

Happy Thanksgiving HB!
Question: Am I the only one who doesn’t like green bean casserole? (Ewww!) -
Jamal pulled a hamstring.

For anyone who's interested: tOSU Message Board Meltdown! http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Board/Ohio-State-Buckeyes-Football-Message-Board-Forum-121
-
Man! Rough drive from Kansas City back to Omaha! The roads were awful from KC to St. Jo and beyond. It wasn't until we hit Hamburg Iowa that it finally stopped with the freezing rain. It was so windy!
-
This tOSU-Michigan game is hilarious! Harbaugh looks just as ridiculous blowing up on the sidelines as Bo did! ROFLOL!
-
So proud of my alma mater! Northwest Missouri State Bearcats are headed for the Division II National Championship!

Has anyone actually asked Scott Frost if he would be willing to come to Nebraska if the job became available.? You would think every ESPN reporter would have already asked him that question.

IMO, sometimes a reporter needs to ask a question even if they know they won't get a response. This isn't one of those situations. A coach shouldn't comment on their interest (or lack there of) in another coaching position while they're currently coaching at a school. It's just unfair and wrong, perhaps even unethical, to ask or answer that question. But, it is the elephant in the room. A lot of people seem convinced Frost would be elated to get this job and I'm not so sure.
-
Teachercd you crack me up. I was thinking more of the press as I realize administrators can’t ask. I’m not sure Scott will come or if he is a good fit for NU. (I’m ducking in case I start getting stoned by irate fans!) Yes he’s winning and he’s ranked but who has UCF really played? The Navy game will be interesting. I’m a huge SF fan but unless NU can not only offer Scott big money but also for all of his assistant coaches (he wants to keep the band together according to an Orlando reporter) he probably won’t come.

Alert getting some playing time with Detroit! Fear Ameer!

Congratulations Husker Ladies Volleyball B1G Champions!!!

Who do you consider the greatest defensive mind in college football today?
-
Wow! I just listen to Sharpe/Benning’s interview with Adrian Martinez. Wow! That kid is going to be gold for us. If you have a chance to listen to the interview do so they just did it about 45 minutes ago it’s worth the listen.

I was impressed with how wel he know the game of football! He was explaining to Damon his favorite play that would be difficult to defend using ‘football lingo’. Wow! Even Damon was impressed. I agree that he was very articulate. I can’t wait to see him play. (Shout out to Tristen Gebbia-Tristen went on home visit for Martinez! Tristen is from California as well and shared with Adrian what life is like on campus. Adrian thought Tristen was great and made him feel relaxed.

@Dilly DillyCody Green was a heisman qb if he beats out TMagic

Rumor has it that Jon Gruden is going to coach for the Las Vegas Raiders AND there is even scuttlebutt around saying that the Indianapolis Colts may be tapping Jim Harbaugh to leave Michigan and come coach for them in the NFL? Anyone else hear this?
-
Good news for Nebrasketball! Both Palmer and Copeland are foregoing the NBA and will be returning next year! Whoo Hoo! http://www.wowt.com/content/news/Two-key-Husker-seniors-return-to-basketball-team--483822281.html

Happy Father’s Day! (A little sad for me as it’s the first time without my Dad.)

@ladyhawke: Yeah, that would be a sad time. My mother lost her father, my grandfather, at a fairly young age. Some of my earliest memories are visiting a small town Nebraska cemetery each Memorial Day so my mom could put flowers on his grave. Keep your chin up!

Husker quarterbacks: Do you think Coach Frost will allow his quarterback to ‘play through the mistakes’ or will he pull them? (I heard this question on 1620 The Zobe this afternoon and thought it was interesting. I think that as a former q.v. himself, Scott can tell whether a qb is having a ‘bad hair day’ and needs to sit out or the qb is just not getting it and needs to sit down. What do you guys think?
- Show previous comments 4 more
-
I think that will happen as well, Husker John. Scott wants to keep his players encouraged and learning how to improve their craft at the same time.
However, why wouldn’t a coach pull a qb that is obviously not getting the job done for that particular gam brophog? There should be no shame in pulling the guy, putting another qb in who also needs to learn and who perhaps IS having a better day. I’ve seen coaches do that before. Isn’t that what being a team is all about?

Clemson’s Quarterback (Trevor Lawrence) reminds me of the quarterback ‘Sunshine’ from the movie ‘Remember the Titans’.

So proud of our own Zach Taylor’s Cincinnati Bengals! They advance in the football playoffs!’

@VectorVictor I don't get that. Why not be proud and splash that all over the internet just like they would with an NFL player?

After 4 grandsons I finally got my girl! I'm the proud grandma to a beautiful grandDAUGHTER! SO HAPPY!!
