I like the rhizomatous tall fescue.  Roots go very deep for a turf grass.  Very drought tolerant.

I'm committed to going because I accepted tickets from a business associate (that I can't back out of).  Then I realized it was opening weekend of deer season. But, I thought at the time...hey...at least it will be a good game to go too.

Now.....I wish I would be deer hunting.  If it's a late game, I can hunt in the morning before going.  If it's an early game, hey...I could be home in time to not be tired for Sunday morning.

I think they said it will be 11am or 230.

Deer hunting is a nice distraction.  I remember processing deer while listening to a loss on the radio.  Conversation eventually drowned out the game.

Do yourself a favor, get Makita. My Dad sold tools as his livelihood, thats what he sold and used. Now I use them. Great tools and an actual company with great customer service.

I use Milwaukee and Ryobi.  I had a bad Ryobi battery that only took one charge.  Home Depot replaced it with a bigger battery which killed the trimmer. Repairmen said it probably overheated because the bigger battery allowed the trimmer to be ran longer.  No parts available so they shipped me a new trimmer.  The repairmen told me what Toe said as far as manufacturing.  Not much trouble with the Milwaukee tools.

Ryobi user here as well.  Never had an issue and the batteries work with the older stuff as well as long as the voltage is the same.

Thank you all for the awesome support. She opted out from ringing the bell after her last treatment because she didn’t want to depress all of the other folks going through their treatment especially those who are just starting their battle to fight this awful disease. 

I get what you are saying. I have always thought that when you're Nebraska, you have to develop a blue collar identity and play to that character. We're not going to get the players that Duke and Kentucky get, so we are going to have to get players in here and have them worked into a mold and then run the team a certain way and be really good at what we do.

Talent ends up winning a lot of the games, but hard work, coaching and development make a big difference.

It's obviously the same with Husker football. But I think it's more so with basketball. We can get a few more studs on the football field than what we can on a basketball court.

Ya I think my dad got free tickets so that’s why I’m going cause nobody else would go with him lol. Gonna drive 2 1/2 miles south hopefully to see a win. I don’t get too bent out of shape when the B-ball team loses but would like to see them get the monkey off of their back by winning a tourney game.

RIP.  Incredible to hit 100 years.  Father inlaw hits 90 in a couple of weeks and i hope he makes it 10 more years.

What’s incredible is that’s she stopped working when she was 97 or 99. That’s dedication and she was so nice and lovely to talk to. Always had a smile on her face. Hope your father in law makes it to beyond 100

I think working so long must have been good for her longevity- seems like the busier older folks are, the longer they live.  Sense of purpose is important.

@The Maudfather weird that the official Husker store doesn’t have these up for sale. Browsing through the Adidas polyester t-shirts it feels like not everything has been released yet. Those sideline practice climacool shirts look plain but the scripted Husker polo looks sharp.

That's actually exactly what I ordered. I have a thousand block N polos, so I mixed it up this year with the red and white script Huskers. I imagine they'll continue to drop a few new items in the next week or two.

Going to mow this week end.  My back yard does pretty well, but my front yard is a giant ball of clay in perma-shade.  I think I am going to do what @RedDenver suggested and do ground cover instead of grass.  (I refuse to live in an HOA by the way)

@huKSer, I'd love to replace all the grass with a ground cover like white or subterranean clover. Or even better, don't replace grass, just sow the clover into it and let the "weed" take over.

No it’s not my dog. There was a 14 yr old English setter that was hiking with his owner and 4 other dogs and startled a Black Bear. He ended up losing his life protecting his family from the bear. It’s went viral now 

  poor puppy.
