Surprised by the amount of fans that are disappointed in a win today. Not me I can actually enjoy going to work on Monday and we can still be 10-3 with a bowl win

Looking at updating my current Linksys EA3500 wireless router to a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. Good router or does anyone else have better options?

Dewiz, before you purchase a new wireless router, you may want change wireless channels on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz radios. If you are in a neighborhood with lots of other wireless access points, your neighbor's access point might be stomping all over your wireless frequency. This will hurt your overall wireless performance and range.

Ran into a Florida fan that had no idea their volleyball team played tonight. She goes “I’d watch it if it was the football team.” Hey lady your volleyball team is playing for the Natty

Volleyball is easy to watch, easy to understand, and takes very good athleticism to play, not to mention a very entertaining sport. Many families grow up with daughter's playing the sport so they are familiar with it. It's also televised. So it's not hard to see why, in a state with no major pro sports, a successful and publicized team get a strong following. Especially when the other mainstay team has been sub par for almost a decade.

Thinking about getting a Bose Soundtouch 300 w/ the Bose Acustimass 300? Or should I update my receiver and get a all new subwoofer, floor speakers and bookshelf speakers? Thoughts?

If you want to go wireless then Sonos will be much better than Bose. However, running wires behind walls isn't too complicated especially if you have a suspended ceiling. If you ever want true surround sound, you will have to plug your rear speakers into an outlet in locations that you probably don't have outlets. But if a soundbar and sub is all you want, then the Sonos playbar and sub is significantly better than Bose. There are also much cheaper soundbars with wireless subs that will be better than Bose.

@Dewiz Been traveling the last couple of days. Here is my assessment; use as you wish. Systems like SoNos are a closed ecosystem. Currently, it supports 5.1, the current state of the art is 7.4.2+. When Sonos decides to expand there is zero guarantee that the current systems won't be left behind., with wired you just run more wires and upgrade the receiver, and sell the old one on CL to offset the costs.
If you are starting with a 5.1 system there is no need to knock holes in the ceiling. Under carpet runs are pretty easy to do, this will save hassle down the line if you upgrade to ATMOs. IMO long term effective leans on wired.

Battlefield V......meh. What a huge letdown

Based on everything I've read since yesterday, the trailer seems to be a cracked out, somewhat misleading representation of how the game is actually going to be. I don't know if it was a stylistic decision or what but that trailer was... a little scary in terms of what I'm hoping this Battlefield will be. But, I don't think it's going to ultimately play out like that trailer suggested.
As for the battle royale mode, I too agree they'd be wise to include that mode. Those games aren't really my thing but they're incredibly popular and I could see a BR game mode bringing in a lot of players. It'd certainly be more impactful than some of the (somewhat uninteresting) game modes they tried to implement later in the BF1 timeline.

Things I liked:
- Character animations of running through windows and rolling, sliding forward, backwards and sideways. When he kills two enemy’s with a pistol and the way they roll forward looks pretty realistic
- The way buildings get demolished and the way grenades exploded inside or outside the building that effect the structure of the building
- Dragging teammates to safety to revive them
- The new melee kill from behind looks badass
- Sound and graphics are top notch no surprise there
- I like the vegetation that you can add to the guns
- Throwing back grenades. Building sandbags, rebuilding a demolished structure
- No season pass and loot crates/boxes
- Rag doll
- Large non-fatal explosions knocking you down. Super badass
- Bullet penetration
Things I don’t like or skeptical about:
- Customization. Hopefully it’s not overblown. The face painting looks dumb and reminds me of Braveheart
- The trailer did really show anything that resembled WWII besides the weapons and vehicles.
- The prosthetic arm is just weird lol
- Need to see actual gameplay. What was shown on the trailer was underwhelming. Didn’t make me want to preorder the game at all
- The new health bar, less ammo and getting ammo from designed locations
-
Sounds like BF is getting back to it's roots with realistic sandbox team play. Funny how a lot of the "new" dynamics have been in other games for 15 years, but are just now finding their way back in. Ragdolls, grenade throwback, and bullet penetration have been something I've sorely missed in BF games.
If it's a Dice game last, then don't worry. It will be another great game, they always have a solid product.
