  1. Hey Chiefs fans, what do you think about Geno Smith at #1? I never really thought there was a guy in this class worthy of the first pick, but I"m really starting to like Geno. IMO, I like him better out of college than Matt Stafford and Sam Bradford.

/\/\ I was almost sure you couldn't declare until your Junior/Senior year, and not as a sophomore?

  2. Could someone explain to me why Nick Saban would go to Texas. The NFL seems much more likely to me.

Saban isn't going to Texas. He can't cut players there like he can at Bama

Nuance. Texas is the riches program in the country. Riches AD in the country. I'm not sure it's even close. I read somewhere that even if it took 10 mil a year, Texas could/would do it. No one could be Texas in a bidding war. And it pisses me off. LOL

If it pertains to homosexual activity, and not solely being a homosexual, I'd say the percentage would be much higher than 5.

  6. Just read the scouting report on Burkhead from NFL.com. They said he lacks lower body strength and the ability to push the pile. These people get paid to do this?

  7. Randy Gregory's NFL draft stock is going through the roof. Right now projected 5th best DE in his class, up from about 40 or so at midseason. Good for us, he's nowhere near ready and is just showing glimpses of his potential. We a potential once ina generation type talent on our hands.

He's staying, the only reason this will he stay/will he go has come up was because of the Pelini drama. If Pelini left it was more than likely RG would have left.

    4. husker07

      husker07

By "nowhere near ready", I meant that he is essentially getting by entirely on his freakish ability right now. With his technique as is, he would get wrecked in the league. He's ranked so high because his natural ability is so ridiculous.

It should have been a flag because according to the way refs called it last year, it was helmet to helmet.

  10. Give Bo one more year. I think everyone needs to step back from the ledge, but they're entitled to their opinion. Lots of injuries this year, and still 8(9?) wins. It's hard to win in college football, and Bo has proven he can do it consistently. Lots of potential for next year, so I say stay the course.

And yes, bad teams can sometimes beat better teams. It happens. But it's a surprise, just as this is. Even defense optional aTm should be able to stop these guys every now and then. Not to mention prevent onside kicks and blocked punts...

      strigori

They are looking to end with 11 wins. They do play in a 'power 5' conference, won a division and are in the process of blowing out a top 25 SEC team. WTF does a team have to do to be 'good'?

    4. EbylHusker

      EbylHusker

Right, just like if NU wins their division Big 10, but it's full of bad and average teams, they must be good, right? Like I said, look at their wins and losses. Nothing that even approaches "good." And no top 25 team has ever just laid a total egg in a bowl, right? No, never...not since ASU last night, at least. Durrrr.

Looking for the ball depends on the route and is trickier than it sounds, I think. You don't want your CBs losing their man. It's not that easy to time looking back for the ball at the right moment.

I think Bo works with the guys on being physical with receivers, which is allowed in CFB and not after five yards in the NFL. Maybe Saban has more of an NFL model of teaching DB play.
