2015 started with the first home-opener loss in 30 years and became Nebraska's first losing season in seven years. 2016 started with Nebraska's first top-ten ranking in several years after a 7-0 start, but a 2-4 finish ensured that Nebraska would end, once again, unranked. 2017 is 2015 all over again, only this time there won't be a 5-win asterisk bowl game berth. Nebraska will miss out on its first bowl in ten years. Riley will finish his Husker career at .500, 19-19. The Riley Era - It started bad and went from there.14 points

We’re getting blown out by a baaaaaaddddd Minnesota team. It’s safe to say that this is the worst Nebraska team since the 60’s. Thank you Harvey and Sean.7 points

Considering you've now posted about every increment between $5M and $6M, I'm sure you'll be able to point to one of them as being right.7 points

I'm a person connected to the program. Nobody is impressed by name-dropping.6 points

I've gone to a college football game sporting Nebraska gear when Nebraska wasn't one of the two teams playing.5 points

The younger lady posted this today cause she was at the UCF game. She told Scott “Can’t wait to see you in Lincoln next year!” He turned, looked at her and smiled according to her This might not mean anything but figured I’d share5 points

I think we can all agree that we should put quotes around "coach" Riley.5 points

Rugby style tackling is better than Diaco style tackling. The movement to keep Diaco is hereby dead and outlawed.5 points

That Riley won't be retained next year and they will officially begin a search. Have him finish the last 2 games b/c there is nobody else to take over. Get rid of Diaco now and let Parrella finish as DC. Maybe that will give the players an attitude to play for pride and each other. Maybe throw an upset of the disgrace to humanity program that shouldn't even exist anymore :). Hopefully get Scott Frost and announce him as soon as reasonable for UCF!5 points

No to all of this. Look—I *WANT* Riley and Co. out of Memorial Stadium just as much as you, but the fact is as long is Riley is still coach, it provides an effective smokescreen for Moos to do his job with. Terminate Riley now, and we lose the advantage that smokescreen affords us. Yes it sucks harder than a Kansas cheerleader showing a basketball recruit around campus, but you need to think big picture here—short term suffering for long term gain and (hopefully) a good hire by Moos.5 points

Congrats that some of your poop stuck to the wall, you must be so proud.5 points

Lol wtf... man this staff has really lost their marbles. I could've understood POB in the NI game, last week, maybe a couple others, but today? Riley is acting like he wants to see what POB has got for the future. Man, Riley you are delousional if you think you're a part of the future.5 points

Yeah I'm not seeing how that is even remotely sexist. As for the people putting jessica in quotes, it was because they are assuming it is a sock account. Not because girls don't know football.4 points

It did allow Minny to get two more sacks that the wouldn't have. Well played Mike.4 points

Meh......it's getting increasingly difficult to throw Pelini's name out as damaging to the program.4 points

This nobody wants to come here bullsh#t needs to die a quick and painful death. 5 or 6 or 7 million dollars per year in a profession with very limited places to coach, c’mon? How much money has taken to keep you in Nebraska? A lot less than that is the correct answer. And apparently you haven’t travelled much because there are much much worse places to live. Many of them in SEC country so this is nothing more than a whiny, not very well reasoned excuse. And Mr Nebraska football history expert- please provide some links to examples of Tom Osborne’s “losing” seasons. That may be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on this board and that’s saying something.4 points

Watching sports center this morning and they were talking about Miami returning to the top. They talked a lot about the past culture of Miami. The swag, the hard physical style of play and the championships.....They talked about Miami being down for years and finally appear to have rounded the corner with Richts. They talked about him being a former Cane and understanding the culture. Understood what they needed to do to become on top again. They interviewed Jimmy Johnson and asked if Miami was back. He simply replied, they're not back until they're winning championships. That's a winners mentality. That's the Miami culture. It used to be ours until Cally IMHO. Their path seems similar to ours. A once dominant program that has met hard times. Multiple coaches with the same results.... Richt comes in and in year 2, they're top 10, undefeated and should win their division and play Clemson for the ACC..... Miami went out and went back to what they know and what they were. A Miami kid who was part of the culture, good, bad and ugly. Richt also went out and actively recruited the great Miami players to come back and talk to and interact with the players. Give them a front row seat to the greatness that was "The U"... Seems like NU has the opportunity to do the same in Frost..... mods, feel free to merge if needed. Just thought ESPN game day could've been talking about NU (hopefully they will be in year 2)3 points

I'm glad I woke up in time to see their QB smoke our entire team... Every time I see Mike Riley on the sidelines, I'm still baffled that people thought hiring this dude was a good idea... This dude is the poster child for mediocrity..3 points
