  1. Thomas didnt even know our defensive playbook good enough to get on the field here. I doubt he could help them out much.

  2. Callahan mentioned that the court appearance is this week. I just looked it up and it’s July 25th. He also stated that he (paraphrasing) gets the vibe that Washington is going to be playing this year and that they’re going to be able to plea these down to lesser charges. He (Callahan) didn’t give any more information on why he feels that way. I believe he talked about it in the Media Days summary video.

  3. So lets say Trump shoots someone in Times Square - can we charge him or do we have to remove him by impeachment first??? That situation is why I think that policy is BS. If the guy does wrong while in office or prior he should not be above the law.

  4. Who do you thinks steps up this season? AMart - I really want to see him take more shots downfield (Other than JD there wasnt anyone who could consistently get open so i dont completely blame him) Backfield - Is there a guy on the roster ready to be the man this year? Or at least the development of depth Wideout - JD and who? Tight End - Legrone bulked up last year I think hell be our best guy here pretty soon O line - These guys scare me with every Amart dropback D Line - Loaded but can anyone create more QB pressure? i think the depth with help us be stronger against the run. Linebacker - Mo Barry is a machine. Caleb Tannor's could be the edge rusher weve been needing i hope this is the year his development kicks in. Secondary - Having upperclassmen at corner to match the D line depth will be huge. Adding Cam Taylor and Braxton Clark into the mix hopefully allows us to matchup a little better against spread teams. Safety position is concerning but with everything in front of these guys having some stability this is probably the best case scenario to break in a new tandem.

  6. Couple of things I found interesting in the updated roster related to S&C: Garrett Nelson is listed at 6'3 260 already - I'm buying him as a contributor this year with his motor if he's anywhere near that size. Size was really my only question with him, he's a good enough athlete and just plays harder than other guys. Washington is still fairly small at 190, but if he's actually 190 this year (and plays) that's huge. From what I remember hearing he was in the 170s most of last year. Tannor at only 220 is kind of surprising, and makes me wonder what he actually played at last year - 200? I don't know how big he's supposed to get, but with the other huge gains in years 1 and 2 I expected him over 230. Ben Stille didn't have a huge jump (290 to 295), but similar to Washington if he's actually near the listed weight that's big. He got mauled against Iowa, it was painful when he would slide down to the A gap. Think I remember hearing upper 270s for him last year, 15-20 lbs would help a lot. I'm hoping the refs let them play in the defensive backfield, because our corners are huge and should be able to push receivers around. Bootle is the exception, but Jackson, Taylor, and Clark are all 210+ and Wright and Newsome have the frames to be that size as well.

  7. With all of the crazy day-to-day BS, can we just step back... And even apart from this, Individual 1 is an unindicted co-conspirator. We have a straight-up criminal in the White House. And the only reason he is there is because of a BS policy (NOT LAW) about not charging a sitting President.

  9. Frost himself pointed this out at media day, citing how a team can run something new one week and see half the league running it the next. Football is not exactly complicated. The biggest thing that any opposing team can find out is Frost’s play calling tendencies...what he like to call given certain conditions...and like Hans mentioned every team will track and analyze that in far, far more depth than a defensive player can ever tell them. The rest of it would be rather useless information because of how this offense is constructed. Like Osborne’s offense (and a lot of others) it’s based on a relatively few plays out of a lot of formations. But then he tacks on packaged plays, RPOs, his receivers are running backs and his tight ends play about four positions, and he can motion these guys all over the place. So if a defense thinks they have a read based on a given alignment and/or personnel by the time he puts it in the FrostoMatic7000 it spits out something completely unexpected. He’s a playcaller who grew up with sequential based offenses who now has access to new age modularity, who also happens to understand defenses from the experience of a Safety. Makes you want to be a defensive coordinator, doesn’t it.

  19. Hunter Sallis is primed for his national emergence One of the more talented guards to come out of Omaha, Neb., Sallis is the type of breakdown artist who can get whatever shot he wants. He has gotten taller, stronger and more skilled and has already seen the in-state powers, Creighton and Nebraska, and Iowa State, Kansas State, Oregon and UCLA have come calling. Sallis is good, and he will quickly become a top target for many top programs. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/adidas-finale-top-10-takeaways

  21. yes, Trump will use "fear of the Brown Man' as the topic as previous politicians from other generations made it about 'fear of the Chinese immigrant or fear of the Irish immigrant. etc Scum practices continue to be used by scum politicians because there just enough scum believing ignorant voters out there to make it work for them.

  22. Great comment and I agree, I dont worry about the $ (much) so for me it came down to, if I have cable, I will still pay for nexflix and hulu for some of the basic service for me the "cost" was just the delta between the base and the all access cost. I'm still at about $125 (including good internet) but prior to this I was pushing $200 for everything. Funny thing is the main reason was because of the equipment rental charges from the cable company. Now I have no devices (ok 2 rouku's) the rest are smart TV's. Currently I'm on Hulu but I'm considering trying youtube as the Hulu interface is a mess.

  23. Hoping that someone besides Barry can step up and be that other play maker that this D so desperately is going to need. Going to miss Luke Gifford that's for sure. On O if Washington can get past his legal hurdle then I can see him filling a play maker role on offense definitely. I think one of the exciting parts of this season will be to see who actually steps up and fills roles like this in year 2 of Scott Frost's offense. Being able to make plays when it counts. It's gonna be fun.

  25. It is amazing when one stops to think about it, that a program wt the tradition and pedigree that we had since the 1960s would ever stoop to hire such people. This is a failure at the very top, not just the AD spot. The top administrators had a lack of vision and more importantly they failed to fulfill the fiduciary responsibility of protecting the huge investment that was made into the program. But it another way, if NU was a hospital, the coaches and AD should be tried for medical malpractice and the top administrators for malfeasance. Or put another way, if they were a care giver, they should be charged for criminal neglect.

  31. I totally thought that was John Candy till now as well. Oh, and funny story about the sharing of the account. I shared it with my brother and his family. The other folks I've shared it with just get me lunch every once in a while or something, not that I ask. My brother has decided to mail me a card and a $10 check every month. Jeez, it's not even worth going to bank for that! Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry finally cashed in all those checks his grandma had been giving him for years, and it bounced.

  34. There's a very similar thread in the Tech forum about this topic FYI. But, FWIW, I've had YouTubeTV for more than a year and love it. $50 is decent for all the major sports channels and networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, all the ESPN's, NBA TV, MLB Network, etc. They also have the Discovery network of channels, I never miss an F1 race now, AND they gave all long time members several months of Showtime for free until September. Works beautifully on my Smart TV with Chromecast. I've never had connection or streaming quality issues with it, either.
