  1. I’m sorry, but had to laugh. Dems or Repubs waving flags doesn’t change the fact Desantis doesn’t seem to care. If he was smart, he’d come out and say what you just said. Politics 101. Lets see if he’s smart.

  2. Very likely, this a political plot coming from the left. Liberal motivation and corruption only needs a hateful visual and some words, to make people anti-Disantis / conservative / republican. People usually believe everything they see and hear. And this is corrupt politics from the left. As if they've never been dirty before.

  3. I would prefer the kids learn about the constitution and branches of government... But if they are fair there must be questions like "a professor from Cornell recently wrote a thesis on how sheet music is racist. Which political party would mostly agree with this premise?"

  4. Sarkisian was a questionable hire based on his time at USC. He doesn’t strike me as being very good on coaching defense. The word out there is Nebraska has better D coaches than Texas.

  5. And on a separate note: Im not saying your theory hasn’t crossed my mind. But for the theory to work, we have to admit Americans feel it is more likely for Republican voters to wave Nazi flags. Why is that? This is a real problem for the GOP. How are they combatting it?

  6. There's a lot of bait on this tweet. Case in point.

  7. Nebraska's major men's sports teams this year: just...woof. With another huge side of woof.

  9. So let's just gloss over the fact that if a woman or girl is raped by her brother or father that she's is required by Mississippi law to carry the pregnancy fullterm because it's less than 1% of the abortions performed in the country.

  10. You couldn't be more correct. The GOP is going to destroy America, but sadly, there's almost nothing that will stop their voters from showing up to the polls and voting for a Republican.

  11. Also, re: Nazis, to put another way: All Republicans are definitely not Nazis. But all Nazis are definitely Republicans.

  12. Am in Michigan. This is unfortunate. We were central in the bulwark of states that prevented a second Trump term, an effort I put a fair amount of my personal time into, and Republicans are such a bunch of ridiculous babies this is their solution rather than accepting they lost. Efforts like this are why they've got such a stranglehold on state-level politics in so many states around the country. But it's also as direct example of them becoming more and more radicalized and less tethered to objective reality as you'll find. When push comes to shove it's going to be really unpleasant when they finally pull the mask off and just go for the authoritarian power grab they've been slowly shuffling towards for the past decade and a half. It'll be great for the GOP and terrible for the rest of America.

  13. I mean here's a dude who wants to end Democracy. But yeah, the lefties are the bad guys.

  14. Why did you decide to cap important issues at 11? Why can’t we handle a 12th?

  15. I don’t know where to start. But I say a class action lawsuit could be in order for all these “authors”. They knew some pretty important things during some pretty important impeachment hearings. They are either lying now, or withheld some damning evidence then. f#&%’em

  17. Well, in a state that outlaws them, via mail would be the easiest alternate option to still get them. Not surprisingly they’re covering their bases. Next thing ya know they’ll institute travel bans that prevent pregnant women from leaving the state. And no I’m not kidding. Everyone knows they would do it if they could.

  18. Unless Betts changes his mind and the coaches agree to take him back. That may not happen, but you never know.

  19. Welp guess the ole "states rights" defense is out the window. Then again a lot of the same people hiding behind that excuse still claim unironically the Civil War was one of Northern aggression. By the time half of America wakes up and realizes who the GOP is and what they want to do they'll likely have changed the rules to entrench themselves in power and it's going to be pretty hard to remove them from power.

  20. I mean, if crazies can scream at women while they are walking into a clinic, it is okay for these nutbars to do what they are doing. Do I agree with it? No, but I am a normal person. Do these people probably think I am a nutjob for screaming for the Huskers? Probably.

  22. I'm only half-joking. But a majority of voters voting for pro-choice candidates and angry Twitter posts haven't really been doing the job. And the closer you read the Alito draft, the worse it gets. Is the problem that a street protest makes a person feel that their personal privacy has been invaded and their life endangered by an activist minority?

  24. Republican. That’s my final answer! Did I pass? Shocking question for sure. But it was an AP Government class. And would anyone disagree with the answer? Sounds like another issue of people not wanting to hear uncomfortable truths to me.

  25. No tournament this year. Just as you think they are turning the corner, they shoot themselves in the foot & every other part of the body.

  26. This team can let a nice lead dribble down their leg faster than any team I have watched. Load the bases and can't score. Throw a ball over the first baseman's reach and two runs score. Get the go ahead run on third and can't get him home. 15 runners left on base.

  29. I actually didn’t know how Plan B worked until a minute before replying to this post. It prevents eggs from being fertilized by the sperm. The only way Plan B and IUDs can be considered abortion is if male ejaculation outside of a vagina capable of child-bearing is also considered abortion. With all 3 cases, no eggs have been fertilized. The only “life” is that of the eggs or sperm, and only sperm in the 3rd case. If sperm is considered a potential life before it fertilizes an egg, male ejaculation outside of a vagina should also be illegal, erego male masturbation should be illegal.

  31. Also old enough to remember when even most eventual Trump voters didn't even like Trump and thought there's zero chance he gets the nomination.

  32. Others have already debunked that line of thinking. It's not that they didn't used to be allowed to block and are now firing off the ball all of a sudden, that's all spring coach speak. When you run a lot of rpo/designed pass plays your lineman can't just drive forward every single play and then have the play be a pass, that's asking for a penalty with lineman down the field. It's scheme related and they do what they're told. Run plays are blocked differently, this isn't binary. Here is what both we and Pitt did last year (credit to @J-MAGICand his newsletter here for the graphic and leg work) We ran close to 60% rpo/pass where lineman are catching or redirecting rushers and not firing off the ball by design. Pitt was at 72%, we shall see what we get this fall. That's a lot more pass blocking than firing 3 yards off the line right away.

  34. I'm pretty pleased by the portal gets - esp of late securing the 2 DL guys. That was my biggest concern on D. It would be a big plus if we find someone who can contribute immediately on the OL. Wishful thinking here: I hope the new OL coach can make the difference and our existing players can step up to a new level.
