Everyone mad at Haussmann for going to iowa. But right now as I see it Iowa is getting better while we are stuck in the mud.8 points

Frankly, I can't believe that a President who's opening foray into politics by claiming Obama was born in Kenya and that his people were "investigating" Hawaii in search of his birth certificate would dupe supporters like me with a grift like this. You might want to judge me for twice voting for a President who's organization has committed several felonies, who's now shilling NFTs and Q memes on an alt-right social network because the mainstream ones wouldn't let him spread lies undermining Democracy, but listen... I've learned my lesson. I support Ron DeSantis. This Patriot isn't some hack who had to import immigrants to send them off to Martha's Vineyard and who had to fake arrests of citizens for voter fraud in a bizzare display of political theater. He truly has policies that will help people (that he can't release the details of because the evil Dems might steal them). The last time I voted for a moron, but this time, it's completely and totally obvious that this is different!7 points

No truly wealthy man would do something like this. No mentally healthy man would, either.7 points

He most likely transferred out because his head coach, DC, and position coach were fired. Those are who he had the relationships with. He probably landed at Michigan because 1) he had a good game against them in November, so they showed him interest and 2) Michigan is one of the top 5-10 programs in college football right now. When they come calling, that's going to get a kid's attention.6 points

Really liked his visit. Familiar with Rhule and they both have a Philly background. No longer visiting Wisconsin this weekend. Visiting BC and Colorado in January.5 points

Interesting takeaway from a really strong extemporaneous speech that goes a lot deeper than football. This is culture change on another level.5 points

If you can't relish in a win why the hell be a fan? I don't think anyone is declaring that we're back in the 90s...just hanging on to the things we can.5 points

Sip is not one I would rely for recruiting / player advise. Reporting yes, rating players no.5 points

Not really. We are still interested in who is "arriving" and "departing". But I think @Decoy73 , and others including myself, just don't care where the "departed" go. Once they announce they are leaving, I couldn't care less where they go or how well they do. And if they are on the Husker schedule, I hope they lose.4 points

Young black guys, many of them teenagers, coming from marginalized communities where they are already football heroes, stepping into an ever brighter spotlight at Jackson State, where they have the choice of staying loyal to the gang-bangers, hangers-on, and opportunists swirling around them, or taking the advice of Deion Sanders and fellow Black coaches who've seen too many futures squandered through reckless associations and stupid mistakes. Sanders is drawing the line: they have to cut ties, commit to a new and higher standard in their personal lives, and do it as a team. It's not clear what exactly went down in Houston, but it sounds like a death was involved. Wasn't shoplifting or barfight stuff.4 points

I can’t fault him for heading to a better team. But I’m not going to wish him well. Sort of hope he does get buried on the depth chart and I hope he sucks if/when the Huskers play Michigan. That’s today’s landscape, he owes us nothing so we owe him nothing. And he’s from my home town…4 points

Odd that you would click, let alone post, on a thread titled 'Arrival/Departure List'4 points

I’m bored with who’s going where, so I’m going with a philosophical post. Random thought about transfers out of NU. If I’m being completely honest, I couldn’t care less if they have success or not at their next destination. Not rooting against them or anything. I just don’t care either way. I’m here for Nebraska and our team. I suspect most people here probably feel that way too, but feel the need to “wish them luck “. Take AM for example, as good of a person he is, it sucks for him that he got hurt again, but after hearing about it the first time, I really haven’t given it a second thought ( until now I guess). Anyone else feel this way?4 points

Their oc is the coach's son & he is horrible. No coaching changes & losing some key competents. We are trying to head in the right direction. Iowa is well, enough said.4 points

Wasn't Hausemann a key, if not the key defensive player in earning that win? Houseman was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season and looked to be someone you could build a rock solid linebacker corps. around. That he is going to Iowa is an extra punch to the gut. Him moving on is a loss no matter how you shake it. Doesn't do anyone any good to pretend it's not.4 points

Iowa also lost a zillion WRs. And they still have Brian Turd Ferentz lmao. Guess people forgot that a certain Michigan transfer couldn’t throw the ball more than 10 yards. Give me a break. Iowa has been falling behind. They are gonna have to modernize soon or they will be toast.4 points

Of those how many were boosted? The vaccinated group is also nearly 80% of the population. If the population was 100% vaccinated, then a 100% of the deaths would be from those that were vaccinated. Simple math. The point still stands though. Covid is still killing people. Enough to impact the excess deaths numbers. Being vaccinated and boosted greatly reduces your chances of death, hospitalization, and long Covid.4 points

I thought your explanatory post was spot on. But I still want Deion banished to the hinterlands of HB because A) CU (need I say more) and B) because of the handful of local jackwagons that are too eager to sing his praises at every chance. He’s a good coach, good recruiter and probably does a lot of good things to help young black players but I can’t get over the flamboyant and self serving side of it.3 points

Am I naive for not being worried in the least here? Just feels like his whole family wants him N and he will be N in the end.3 points

Great for him, his future looks bright. Glad to see him end up there and not the team to the east.3 points

I'm voting for Desantis because he's going to hold all those scientists who spent their entire lives studying and working in fields none of us had the intelligence or patience to persevere in accountable for fidelity to the principals of science, not Christianity. Those wispy bearded, woke scientists rose to the top of their fields not because they wanted to help society but rather to scam the populace with a virus when it would have been so much easier and lucrative to be an insurance salesman. I mean our institutions should be in great shape when we send the message to those embarking on their chosen field of study that abiding by the principals of scientific rigor will be sniffed out for the woke scam it is and by God we'll make sure they face frivolous, political investigations. I just hope Rand Paul is his running mate.3 points

I also have the tendency to stereotype America's teachers as hardworking heroes deserving far more money and respect. I'll work on that.3 points

We beat Iowa once and half of you are declaring they warm corpses as a program is just laughable. We are still the worst P5 program right now until proven otherwise. Let's just calm it down here.3 points

I agree that Sip isn't an expert in any capacity, but I agree that he is hearing things and reporting them rather than making his own assessment. Sip is "somewhat" connected. I definitely don't take his word as gospel.3 points

Relationships take time. Reviewing current players & team need takes time. What fantasy land due you come from, as it's only been 2.5 weeks?3 points

Pretty negative....not all wrong, but a long way from being right. Iowa landed a back up QB and a back up TE. They have also lost arguably their best WR coming into the season... a key CB and key LB. Not sure they are in a tremendously better place overall than they were when the season ended. We knew it would be rough here after the change, but this staff is recruiting it's tail off and we are not stuck in the mud by any stretch. Things will shake out as they may....but we wont be in a horrible spot..... maybe not great, but probably as well as expected after a change.3 points

I'll make sure to store this one away and perhaps we can revisit it in a year.3 points

Thank God the Republicans are simply calling Tony out for his missteps rather than using him to foment partisan rage and missing the larger COVID picture. I can't find a single Republican doing that unless I open my browser.3 points
