  1. My God this is hilarious. It's so blatantly obvious that Republicans aren't serious about Hunter Biden but their voters eat this alive to reconcile their own support for corruption.

  3. I’ll save you some time and myself some effort. I don’t like Desantis. It’s that simple. If you want to believe it’s because of the national media or because I haven’t personally vetted him properly, I’m okay with that. You’re not going to change my mind. And it doesn’t matter anyway. He has already come as close as he ever will to sniffing the WH. If you want to write him in, fine by me. Hell I wrote in Liz Cheney on my primary ballot just to send a message.

  6. The author of the bill disagrees with this assessment. The author of the bill says claims processed in a non-detained way Asylum is supposed to made at port of entry so why would a law need to “encourage” it instead of mandate it only after an average of 5,000 encounters a day happen. And that asylum “encouragement” ends after three years and declines each year in between and can only be used for a certain amount of days per year. Why????

  8. They have to rule before their current session is over. This session ends at the end of June. We should know by end of June if CO (and other states) can remove him from the ballot and if there is presidential immunity. If the SC says there is presidential immunity, that gives Biden at least 6 months to "hire seal team 6" or finally do some crazy ish that the Rs have been accusing him of since his term started.

  13. Believe what you want. I’ve heard him speak numerous times and am aware of his far right preferences regarding schools, books, wokeness etc. What are his “far right preferences regarding schools, books, wholeness, etc?” If you are aware of them. Thanks in advance for providing clarity Have you listened to his speeches or press conference Q&A’s from beginning to end or just clips posted on social media, news channels that may or may not be taken out of context? I’m guessing the latter. Thanks in advance for providing clarity It’s a shame you vote based on personality vs policy in my view. It’s what people usually complain about with Trump voters. Voting based on cult of personality. I wouldn’t know. I don’t worry about or think about the size of a man’s d!(k

  20. On 2/28/2024 at 1:03 PM, Mavric said: As I've said for years, the NBA is not basketball. It's a business meant to resemble the game of basketball. They want entertainment value and that's one way they get it. Yes you do. You know exactly what he means. But you don't want to take it at face value. My take is WYSIWYG... perhaps....however.....sometimes.....not exactly. The concept went from a national basketball association to becoming basketball entertainment. It's a United States product and something being produced. It affects the rules, the officiating, and this type of entertainment CREATES superstars that get away with so much bulls#!t on the court....... There is a real reason why Euros get so confused playing in the NBA and during games. In Europe you have basketball rules and you follow those rules. It's called being professionals. The NBA/Entertainment ..................it decides if there is a foul, who can get fouled or not, who can travel, carry the ball, palm the ball, set a pick, called for charging or a block, get the "and 1" touch foul, get called for a technical - but definitely not multiple technical fouls if the first one is in the first half....because NBA creates superstars and protects them. Jokic, Giannis, Doncic, and Curry. Those are the only true superstars of the league. Lebron used to be years ago. But the NBA and officials will keep putting Embiid and Durrant and Harden on the free throw line. Keep helping them out, when they are struggling. Because they are creating superstars out of just star players.

  24. The right-wing talking point that the bipartisan bill would just allow 5000 immigrants to cross the border per day is typical disinformation. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/does-new-immigration-bill-5000-illegal-border-crossings-per-day-rcna136656 "Migrants would not be able to just cross the border illegally under the new bill. It would end the practice of "catch and release," in which Border Patrol agents release migrants into the U.S. while they await immigration hearings. Instead, migrants who tried to cross the border illegally would be detained immediately, with their asylum claims decided while they were in detention. People would be removed immediately within 15 days if they failed their asylum claim interviews." "no migrants trying to enter the U.S. illegally would be allowed into the country unless they passed asylum interviews or were being held under government supervision." "Over time, negotiators believe, the legislation and ending the practice of catch and release would encourage migrants to seek asylum lawfully at ports of entry rather than try to cross illegally between ports of entry."

  27. f#&%ing idiot. Learn another language yourself you xenophobic piece of s#!t. I started trying to learn Ukrainian last year as we have a lot of immigrants/refugees in the plants I go to. It's not easy, but just being able to say "hi", "yes", "no", "thank you" in someone's native tongue can mean a lot. Been working on Spanish slowly for years and talk a little to the Mexican people I work with. Also, I always try to learn some of a language if I travel there.

  30. "I have the right to do whatever I want as president" If that's not an authoritarian's fever dream I don't know what is. Soon we'll get to see if the Supreme Court agrees. If they do, that literally will be the end of democracy and the rule of law. VI. Purging Federal Employees "As Democracy Forward explains, “Our nation’s career civil servants — federal employees who serve the public regardless of the political affiliation of the President or partisan divides in Congress — are foundational to American democracy… Anti-democratic, far-right organizations and activists have voiced increasingly alarming threats against the civil service — ultimately threatening democracy itself.” "The Agenda47 plan includes: Gutting the federal bureaucracy and consolidating federal power under his direct control, Trump and his advisors plan to centralize the distributed powers of government agencies by installing loyalists in leadership positions using ideological pre-screening, reclassifying tens of thousands of civil service employees as political appointees, purging civil servants within the national security and intelligence apparatus, and subjecting independent agency actions to presidential review." Trump allies are already employing ideological purity and loyalty pre-screening, including these vetting questions, in preparation for the 2025 administration. In 2020, the Presidential Personnel Office, under the leadership of Trump aide John McEntee, began conducting “loyalty tests,” including one-on-one interviews with “hundreds of … political appointees across federal agencies” in order to “root out threats of leaks and other potentially subversive acts.” Installing temporary “acting” officials in senior government roles to avoid Senate confirmation. During Trump’s presidency, he made unprecedented use of the “acting” designation, and has signaled that he may do so again. Trump has wrongly claimed that the Constitution gives the president the power to do whatever he wants. . June 19, 2019, Trump said: “I had absolutely Article II powers. I could’ve done anything I wanted. I don’t even bring it up because we don’t even get there. Absolutely, I have Article II. We could have used that instead. I wouldn’t even have to bother talking to you about all the other things. I wouldn’t have to talk to you about conflicts. I could have fired [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller for conflicts. I could have fired anybody.” “Then I have an Article 2, where I have the right to do whatever I want as President. But I don’t even talk about that.”

  34. Just so Guy doesn’t get mad, I’m putting this here because you could insert almost any politicians name into this thread (until you get to the end and then it’s more uniquely Democrat) and come up with about the same results. It’s how politicians live a lavish lifestyle while working for less than lavish pay. People should either not donate to politicians like I don’t or demand a greater stewardship of the money given. Stay in the same type of places and travel the same way they would if they were paying with their own money instead of someone else’s.

  35. You are dangerously close to being a write in candidate to certain members of this board of you keep it up. If you rack up a few dozen felonies, look out. How can a border bill that hasn't passed legalize anything? I'm genuinely unsure of what this even means. Also, I hope you understand that your use of "The Big Guy" screens "I fall for Kremlin propaganda easily", my advice is to recognize this and to support political causes that aren't so easily influenced by foreign adversaries.
