Facebook is down. Now where will I go to for medical malinformaiton?

You could check out my blog. Did you know gravity isn't real?! http://flatearth101.com/

Family has Thor: Ragnarok at the Alamo Draft House at 1pm, looking good to making it home by the second half.
-
Folks--this Bill Moos hire was/is vital. Not only are we looking at a new football coach in 2018, but potentially a new Men's Basketball coach, and even a new Baseball coach as well.

I dunno...I think it depends on if we make the NCAA Tourney again this year and how we do in B1G play. And if we choke in the B1G/NCAA tourney again...I think you'll be seeing *at least* the assistants being looked at, if not Erstad himself.
We honestly shouldn't be having problems consistently being at the top of this conference for Baseball...
-
Forgive my ignorance, but what's the best way to get good tickets for Volleyball? Gonna be back home next Friday, wanted to take the family to the Minny game.
-
Hey @killer cacti, so how do you feel about being conference mates? FSU, Washington, Clemson, and Oregon to the #B1G as soon as next week supposedly:
-
Hey...at least the defense only gave up 7 points and ~250 yards today to a potent offensive team. That's one of the few things keeping me from thinking this season is going to be a complete clusterf***.
-
Honestly, the best thing we can say about Eichorst's tenure is that he didn't f*** up the Volleyball program.
-
I couldn't settle on a number for a Youth Soccer Goalie jersey (scarlet and cream colored) for our team, so I went with #79.
-
@GSGno, but I've been coaching a very successful one for four years now. I needed to order a communal goalie jersey (an in-case scenario) and I went with the number of one of the best defenders of all time.
-
I need help coming up with a six-character specialized Husker plate. I tried 'Frosty', Fro5ty', and 'Fro57y', but they're all taken.

@HuskerNBigD thanks, trying that now. Completely overlooked doing that.

If you're a gamer, s*** just got real in the Microsoft camp:

That's a hell of a power play. -
If you're wanting to see a great DC Comics Justice League team up, make sure you're watching Crisis on Earth-X on the CW. It's a four show crossover, and it's more fun in its first half than the entirety of the Justice League movie.
-
It's time: the Sock isn't the hero we need, but he's the hero we deserve to post rumors about our coaching search.
-
Jordan Larsen to Texass as a Volleyball coach? What in the actual f***?!!?
-
@ColoradoHusk I get that she needs a paycheck and a gig.
But damn...couldn't she have found a landing spot with another program that's not diametrically opposed to our existence as a program?
-
@VectorVictor NU would only play Texas in the NCAA tournament and the occasional non-conference match. It's not like Larsen is getting her start with a conference rival, which even then wouldn't be a big deal.
-
Just a shout out to all the kids (especially Seniors) playing what is most likely the last game of the season. Thanks for giving your time to our beloved University, and here's hoping for success for you in the future.

Last minute Halloween idea—put on a Nebraska shirt (and pants), and *BAM* instant “Disgruntled Season Ticket Holder” costume!

I dressed up in my Columbia Husker coat and 17’ sideline coaches hat and a chick (mid 20’s) goes “ooohh you’re dressed scary dressing up as a Husker fan” as here and three other dudes with here started to laugh hysterically. If my son wasn’t by my side I was going to say “not as scary as you dressing up as a skank” haha
-
Mods, could you please fire Riley and Eichorst so we can move on to aviation and flight-watching threads?
-
Nothing more infuriating than your outside box for internet going out and being told it will be a week before it’s repaired. Screw Frontier FiOS.
-
Our defense has given up 748 total yards and 23 total points the past 14 quarters (read: after the first quarter debacle at Oregon). That's 53 yards/quarter and only 1.64 points/quarter. Granted, the competition hasn't been the best...but this is pretty damn good considering we're running a new defensive scheme.

Question--how's the IT job market in Lincoln/Omaha looking these days? I've heard conflicting reports from the friends I've talked to back home about the job market up there...and I've given serious consideration to moving back to Lincoln if I can find gainful employment.

Thanks everyone. I’m in the development and process side of things as a Senior Business Analyst for IT...so while I don’t directly code, I work on project/process/problem management for all the different groups involved with hardware/software deployments, from PCI/SOX compliance, Operations, Marketing, and Tech Support (among others).
In short, I wear enough hats day to day to start my own haberdashery.
-
Very familiar with the BA side. There are jobs out there. I suggest looking at a place like Lincoln Financial Group in Omaha. Plenty of contract work out there as well or some full time. Shoot me a message if you want some connections.
To answer your question there is some work in that realm. Not bubbling over like it is for Developers but I bet if you put your nose to the grindstone you could find something in 2-4 months. -
@Minnesota_husker thanks, I'll take you up on that offer in the very near future, if that's alright with you?
And thanks everyone for the info. This would be a big move for my family if I can pull it off--a big, yet positive one I would hope. Public schools are decidedly better in Nebraska than in Texas, so I'd primarily be doing this for my kids.
And season tickets.

So Bert got a (road) win against a Top 10 team his first year. There’s no way you can tell me Illinois is better in Bert’s first year than we were in Scott’s first, second, third, or fourth year.

@GSGI said the exact same thing myself watching those OTs.
Also, swapping end zones during OTs was a beating. Would much rather have the old OT back. Or after the second OT, make it sudden death rules, a la the NFL. -
@VectorVictor Yes! Bring back the old OT. I think under the old rules that game probably ends in 3rd or 4th OT and not the 9th
-
So if we're playing on Friday, shouldn't we have CAPS LOCK Thursday instead? Or will you all be shouting at each other in the gameday thread?
-
So...if Nebraska fans have to choose between going to K.C. for the Volleyball NC match or a non-conference basketball game vs. Kansas in Lincoln...the fans will choose Volleyball, right?
-
So...Turner Gill just did with Liberty what he couldn't do at Kansas--beat Baylor.
-
The ultimate indictment of the Riley era is having to score a last-second TD to get an upset win against a 3-3 Purdue.

I think a bigger indictment of the state of the program is that our fan base can't enjoy a victory. There is a difference between being critical and being negative. With your mindset there was nothing the team could have done that would have left you with a positive attitude. There are lots of reasons to want a new coach, but don't let a victory be one of them.
