One one hand, even if we don't get another commit this class already destroys Bo's 2nd recruiting class. So that's good.

On the other hand, this was long advertized as an all-time great recruiting class, so anything outside of the top 10 could rightfully be a little disappointing.

I think it's more important that we string together several solid classes in a row.

I'll be good with 15-20ish classes as long as we're doing it consistently.

Wiscy & Iowa both kill us in player development. We out-recruit them but they get more out of their players. They've been doing it since we joined the Big Ten, and really, this whole century.

Riley seems about right for a day that merely sucks. If it gets worse you can also blame Pelini and/or Callahan. And if it’s the worst day ever, toss in Pederson and Eichorst.

I don't mean to be mean ... but based off our last 15 years ... they should.  It would be fascinating to look through the recruits we missed out on and how they turned out.  I know when we missed out on Owa who went to UCLA we were all really disappointed (I know I was) ... but that guy never really did anything in college or the pro's did he?

Yeah I was very impressed with what I saw of Hammond 3rd period of game 4 and early in game 5. Guess he has a tendency to lose it but he's been really solid when called upon so far.

Cincinnati came to play

Cincinnati is being talked about as one of the potential best G5 teams to make a New Year's Day bowl this year.

But, UCLA also doesn't look great. Way too many turnovers and their QB is completing <50% of their passes. Yikes.

QB aside, UCLA looked like a bunch of undisciplined, unmotivated buffoons.

What I do is pick a winning team and pretend I’m a fan 

@krc1995 so basically you're a Californian.  They all became Golden Warrior fans recently and dropped everyone else in their state because they stink, and the way they tell it, they were always Golden State fans.  It changes yearly with whoever is winning.

I love the Golden Warriors.....so refreshing.

FWIW, I wouldn’t try too hard to find it or watch it....

Sounds like Newby will make it eventually, but all signs point to a Afalva type situation. Meaning he will show up after fall camp and will redshirt this year.

As long as he makes it... Im ok with him redshirting and a possible starter next year. Really liked him as a commit
