Outside of Lawrence, who is currently better than him in college football? Last year only Burrow and Lawrence were better than him. He had a great year last year and that was his first year as a starter. I am not sure why you don't see why people love him. 

Fields looks like a legit Heisman frontrunner. Olave is special too. Other than the QB and WR's, I don't think the rest of tOSU looks like NC contenders yet, but it's just the first game of the season.

@jaws I would say, trask at FL, corral at ole miss (who is doing exceptional given talent around him), and a few others. Not saying he is horrible, but I want to see him play defenses that have CBs that won't give his WRs a 10 yard cushion. Because as of right now, you can put damn near any QB with OSUs talent and not expect much if any drop off.

is certainly behaving differently and looks to be causing long term organ damage.  It's not just myocarditis, sadly more severe than that.  Not that many common cold patients need lung transplants.

What does SF's coaching ability have to do with the Sooners getting taken to the woodshed? 

So, teams which can't compete with other teams physically are just supposed to keep beating their heads against the wall and not try misdirection or other ways to utilize their speed and athleticism?  It's not getting "cute", it's trying alternative ways to get the ball to a team's play makers.

Most of the Pac 12 recruiting sort of sucks.  It is like they have given up.  I know the U of Cal schools are broke but man, that broke that they can't recruit or are they just not that good at it anymore?

The thing is, it would be incredibly easy to recruit to USC.  And really, to most Pac 12 schools.  So, yeah, they must have just given up and going through the motions now.   Sad stuff.  For them, that is.  lol

@ZRod you're the coach you should know the strengths and weaknesses of your players. Frost is calling plays like he doesn't. And yet again down within to the 3 and we call two pass plays...

He called a read play for you on 3rd and short...

You can't predict guys not being consistent play to play. You can't predict you star QB trying to force balls into double coverage.

He's playing better, for sure. He seems like he's the first one to pat himself on the back, though.

I will say he has improved A LOT since his days under MR. He has all the physical attributes and talent to be absolutely dominant at his position and he sure is beginning to show it. Not many people can match up physically with him and he (and the coaches) should exploit that.

Bama doesn't have a game scheduled during 9/23, which would be our open date in 2023.

Coming off a loss to debuting coach of Colorado......maybe not the best time?  But it would Enhance the chances of them taking the game.

Well hear again this season. What our team did this week, whether good or bad, doesn't mean anything for our next game.

It didn't help that his line gave him virtually no time to throw many times in the game. Some of it he should have been aware of but it helps to have a couple of seconds to throw before guys are right in your face. 

Had me  wondering about Marte as the backup. Wasn't he highly rated out of high school. Sometimes those stars don't seem to matter.

Yep. These teams have been recruiting studs for 5-10 years. Its gonna take at least a good 4-5 years to even get close to them. It also doesnt help when their guys are using roids.

Well, in all fairness, they were 9-3 teams.  I think they played like 9-3 teams do.  Decent, but not great.  The empty seats is not a good look, especially considering how long each of them has waited to win the conference.  You'd think there'd be more excitement from fans.  Guess not enough to buy tickets.

PAC12 just isn’t very good.  

That was way worse than our Sparty game, and weather was not a factor. Good defenses, but it was pretty bad offense. With Utah's starting QB i think they win that game going away.
