Can we all agree 24 hour news stations are the worst?

I avoid all the news I can, whether the 24 hour variety or the 30 minute or 1 hour local news. 95% of it is just super depressing and 75% of it is sh#t I don't need to know about. I'm much happier when I don't see any news. I don't feel like I'm missing anything important and, if I am, I don't care.

69-year-old George Foreman vs 66-year-old Steven Seagal?

Colonel Sanders vs General Tso?

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players since Kobe Bryant. Prove me wrong.

Lets not get carried away. They are good to some degree and they would have beaten Portland, Min and SA out west. They aren't world beaters but I wouldn't say they aren't good in any way shape or form.
That said most playoff FG in 6 less games than the previous record holder has very little to do with playing these Celtics

Not trying to prop up lebron here because Marcus Morris or whoever they can put on him is not elite and the Cavs should win this series, but Boston is better than you give them credit for. I honestly think they match up better against the Warriors. But Cavs will win and get destroyed in the finals.
Horford is Bostons best player

If Budweiser comes out with this George Washington beer every year, I might have something to hold me over until Samuel Adams Octoberfest returns. Hash tag delicious.

Carnies. Circus folk. Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage. Small hands.

He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy.
My childhood was typical.... summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap sack and beaten with reeds.... pretty standard, really.

Nobody talks about how awesome R. Lee Ermy was in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.

Was Frost a farm kid? He wears his hats like he's driving a combine.

That Andre the Giant documentary was good. Did you know Andre the Giant ate an entire Labrador Retriever in one sitting?

Spit in the fire and call the dogs, Smash Williams *is* the Dillon Panther offense.

Some of us weren't fans of Sam Keller even before he killed that video game franchise.

Not sure if this belongs in P&R, but I thought the new Roseanne episodes were pretty funny. I loved that show growing up.

It's hard not getting fired up listening to Tanner Farmer's interview.

Well, I think it will be some of both. Sure they aren't going to scrap their offensive plan or delete big chunks of the play book but it does sound like they will run things to the strengths of the players they have and that they will endeavor to have the best guys on the field. So when it comes time for an OL to pull, I bet they're doing it with a guy that can get the job done or they won't do it. That'll be quite a change from what we had under Riley or Pelini. No more square peg round hole BS.
BTW, I've never seen Farmer speak before. Very articulate kid. I like it.

Best episode of television ever: The Sopranos: Season 3 Episode 11 "Pine Barrens", directed by Steve Buscemi.

Well thanks @The Dude got me started on the Sopranos...again. I've got all the DVDs but just figured out it's on Amazon Prime so am watching it that way on my iPad so my wife can watch whatever stupid Hallmarkish thing she wants on TV for awhile I'd never noticed before you mentioned it but yeah, Tony looks much younger in the pilot than he does in the 2nd episode. Didn't realize the pilot was done that much earlier.

Change iPad to laptop and that's been exactly my life the last couple weeks. Most relatable thing I've ever read.

Is there anyone else who (still) doesn't care for Twitter?

I echo what Mav and others said about Twitter being a news vehicle which is what I use it for in regards to quick news on sports/recruiting/etc. I'm a heavy user of LinkedIn due to my job but even that is starting to get annoying..granted that's my own doing as I have lots of connections so my feed is going to be pretty clogged. I've never signed up for FB but might have to for work purposes (making sure anyone my clients hire isn't a crazy person in private).
I still prefer the traditional newspaper, I'm one of those weirdos who gets a couple newspapers each day still.

That feeling when you have 36 notifications on HuskerBoard, "oh god, what have I done?"
-
If you were only going to pay to see one, would it be Deadpool or Black Panther?
-
Anyone here ever thru-hike or section hike the Colorado Trail?
-
What I like most about the recruiting class is the numbers. 24 signed. I thought we were expecting a small class.

Had like 5 rhabdo convos at work today.

I can't figure out exactly why Steven Colbert does nothing for me on The Late Show. I loved The Colbert Report. On the other hand, I know precisely why I can't stand Jimmy Fallon.

Still think it racist the Eagles didn't replace Wentz with Kaepernick.

A good thing to watch for MLK day would be the first episode of the new David Letterman show on Netflix.

First decent call of Joe Buck's career.

AFC always seems to send a bunch of crappy teams to the playoffs.
