  1. Anyone want to still criticize Valentine for being "selfish" and making a dumb decision to leave NU a year early?

      Cdog923

It was a good decision because he fell into the best possible situation in NE. Had he stayed? Probably would have been drafted higher than he was.

Losing three DTs last spring really hurt the Huskers. It worked out surprisingly well for VV though. Better than I thought it would.

He keeps the unofficial streak of Huskers in the super bowl alive! Bless that man!

  2. Are there still people thinking that Riley should suspend Armstrong for the Iowa game because he talked to the cops and media before talking to Riley?

      Enhance

I can't imagine Armstrong really did anything worth warranting a suspension for talking to cops and media. I don't know what kind of agreements players sign, but it was a non-university related incident. Technically, Armstrong may be able to speak to whomever he wants.

    3. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

It may be non-university related but the university has involved itself because the incident involves a member of the university. The university can act on matters that police depts cannot. As I was taught growing up, a cop needs probable cause, a school official just needs reasonable suspicion to step in.

    4. Enhance

      Enhance

Yes, and while the university can involve itself, I would still argue TA did not do anything enough to warrant being suspended for the game. Was it a bad idea to talk to the media? Yes. Should he be suspended for it? I think that's a bit harsh.

  3. Atlanta refused to run the ball when it needed to milk the clock last night. Terrible coaching job there.

He played well except for the part where the team put it all on his shoulders, and he blew the biggest lead in Super Bowl history.

NE needed that immediate near red zone fumble recovery. Plus two times of the Falcons taking themselves out of FG range. Plus two more TDs and two PATs. Plus a TD in OT.

      Crazy.

      zoogs

By PATs I mean 2pt conversions, I guess.

For him, a lot of it will be luck. If he lands on a practice squad, and a few RB's get hurt, he has his chance.

    3. NUpolo8

Coincidence. I declared for the draft today too. Fingers crossed for that combine invite.

    4. NUance

Braylon's chances are slightly better than Polo's. Slightly.

  8. Cethan is not playing against Wisconsin. Dislocated elbows are such a tough injury to come back from.

VV, I'm totally serious. 1 back, 1 TE, and 3 WR's will be used to create space for the offense. Maybe force UW to take another LB off the field.

    3. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

Agree with ColHusk. We have to see an abundance of 11 and 10 pers this week. With Westy back, 10 is very logical.

Keep bringing in the rotation of receivers, and try to beat Wisky with speed and quickness.

  9. Coaching staff has offered a QB for the 2020 class. It's odd looking at a highlight tape of a freshman in high school.

I had the country sausage crunchwrap. Not sure if the gravy was a good or bad idea. Should have gone with the steak.

  24. Guns N Roses concert in Denver was amazing last night. Slash still can bring it on the guitar, and Axl's vocals were way better than I expected. They put on a great rock n roll show.

Bummed I missed GnR with Alice in Chains at Arrowhead a while back. Sounded like an awesome show, but was too leery of Axl pulling his usual antics and not showing up or something. Glad to hear it was a good show.

    3. ColoradoHusk

      ColoradoHusk

Axl is a very good showman as a lead singer. Even way past his prime, he had a strong presence on the stage last night. I was expecting Fat Axl who wouldn't be able to complete a song, and I saw a 55 year old guy doing a pretty good job of rocking it for 3+ hours. He took a few songs off as the band would play instrumental covers, but he did a great job on the GNR classics.

    4. broganreynik

      broganreynik

I've been waiting 18 years to see Gn'R in concert, and because of my previous employer, I've missed three concerts I could have gone too. I just hope they don't split ways again before I get another chance. Looked like it was a great show though!

  25. Happy 150th Birthday, Nebraska!!
