  1. So you will draft Nick Gates and Tanner Lee, but not Stanley Morgan? F you, NFL.

  2. This is why Scott Frost said the program was in worst shape than he thought it would be in. A complete rebuild.

  4. pretty sad how far we've fallen. this upcoming season is going to be one of the most crucial seasons for the future of the program. another losing season would be devastating.

  5. I might be a delusional fan, but I thought Morgan had a shot for sure....Oz would be a steal IMHO. I also know that NFL drafts do not guarantee that a college team was/will have success, but NU's continued downward draft spiral does seem to correspond with pretty crappy records..........Seems to add some validity to the old talent debate and the "look at them look at us" arguments......

  6. And there were people who thought Riley should have been able to stick around to be an ambassador for the University/Athletic Department. What a joke.

  8. This late in the draft it is probably better to go undrafted and pick your situation.

  9. The last week events with the players transferring and no drafted players should highlight the rebuild job which Frost inherited. I have complete faith in Frost and his staff, but what he inherited was a complete joke of a football team.

  10. No, no, stricter laws regulating ARs are a bad idea and liberals obviously don't know what they're talking about.

  11. Stanley and Devine not getting drafted is all about the previous coaching staff and nothing to do with their skills. I feel really badly for them. Imagine where they'd go in the draft with 2-3 years in Frost's system. Really sad. On a different level...NO one drafted? Makes even 4-8 look like a miracle!

  12. I feel like this is a theory I should have been able to figure out on my own if only I was clever enough.

  13. Yes the streak is over, but I'd guess three to four make rosters as free agents.

  14. Yep. I think it's pretty obvious that the development was pathetic

  16. Regardless of the kids Pelini brought in, there’s no doubt that the “coaching” Riley provided was abysmal.. It was so bad they completely shut down the AAF because of it

  17. I didn't do the math but most of Riley's recruits haven't gone through the draft, and I'd wager they'll do ok since they have better coaching now.

  18. You pointed out that Iowa has beaten Nebraska recently several times. So I guess that makes them our chosen rival? To most NU fans I know, Iowa is not our real rival. They are another tough team on the schedule, and the schedule is full of them. To me the rival is Wisconsin. They're calling us the little brother in the west and saying they're the Real Big Red. There's the rubber match Big10 championship where they embarassed us. There are multiple reasons to have special animus for Wisconsin. What has Iowa done to us other than win some close games while we were down?

  19. Because it's like pulling teeth? 10+ free passes, this should have been over sooner. At least 10 more runners stranded, etc. This is probably a blip more than anything, based on precedent, and that's frustrating.

  20. Has a history with drops, and not a burner. Lots of really good wr in CFB. Emanuel Hall has not been picked and he has a higher upside than Stan. Hope Stan finds a team and catches on In The league. He has the right attitude.

  21. Ummm. Getting picked in later rounds of the draft doesn’t mean you get a better team. He could have been picked by the Browns in 6th round just as easily as he was by the Patriots

  22. 7 RBs taken. Ozigbo now the #23 best RB available according to ESPN. Last year there were 8 RBs taken in the first three rounds and 22 total. That doesn't bode well. 13 WRs taken. Morgan now the #30 best WR available according to ESPN. Last year there were 10 WRs taken in the first three rounds and 33 total. Not looking great there either. It only takes one team. And we have a bit of an in with the Vikings GM. But we might prepare ourselves for our streak of having a player drafted coming to an end.

  23. They're absolutely right. Unless you're in a handful of "competitive states" your voice doesn't really feel like it matters at all. What is the motivation for either party to visit any states other than those three in the Midwest (PA/MI/WI) and possibly FL? Ultimately some states are trending one way or another but immediately in 2020 it feels like none of them matter that much. Bernie could probably do pretty well in Wisconsin, but I do feel he takes Florida more squarely off the table as the progressive Gillum just lost statewide there last year and he's about as close to a Bernie candidate as we got at the state level last cycle. I'm pessimistically kind of writing of Florida this cycle - it seems a lot more white, old and potentially more racist than I thought. They're already trying to turn the felon re-enfranchisement referendum they passed last year into a poll tax on black people. If we get Florida great but I'm not counting on it. All of this is just more reason the Electoral College is trash and it needs to go. Our elections shouldn't boil down to just a handful of states mattering.

  24. We are Wisconsin's Colorado and it's frankly embarrassing to have Nebraska fans try so hard to call them our rival when they kick the s#!t out of us every year.

  25. Agreed. And hindsight being 20/20, with the transfer of players last year and this, new staff, new system, trying to do a culture flip etc, going 4-8 showed Frost and Co coaching skills. Going 4-2 against the strength of the schedule was unbelievable. I just threw up in my mouth!

  28. Ozigbo is headed to the Saints. Ingram is gone, which gives him a shot of getting some significant carries behind Kamara.

  30. Maybe it’s my fandom but I honestly thought at least one of ozigbo or Morgan would be drafted, if not both. And I’m obviously no nfl scout but they seemed like nfl guys to me. Are they really not good enough or are they more a product of the overall team the last couple seasons?

  32. Rian's just a lazy writer. Poe and Finn were originally supposed to go to the Casino Planet, but Rian created Rose due to Finn and Poe being too similar. A child soldier forcibly enlisted to fight on the evil side and someone who's volunteered to fight against said evil for pretty much his entire adult life. Very similar Rian. Also feels like he only cared about Kylo's character to the detriment of everyone else (Rey used as a prop between Luke and Kylo), deliberately obfuscating the fact that Kylo was undermining Luke at the academy and within 5 minutes of Luke entering his hut when he's sleeping, he's massacring everyone but the ones whom decided to follow him (though this is more preference than specifically bad writing). Then there's the fact that you can hit the failure message without making Luke a jackass. Rian is a good director/cinematographer, but a pis pour writer.

  36. Oh look, Russia is still trying to put their thumb on the scale of next year's election, too. And the leaders of the agencies trying to protect us from it say we can't protect ourselves because the President isn't mentally stable enough to handle the truth. Another reason to toss him out on his keister. He can't put his ego aside, see this for what it is and do what's right for the country. He'd rather lie to himself and hope for their help again. (P.S., sorry about the formatting - no idea how to fix that)

  38. My heart goes out to Lightbourn. When he first got to NU, he was mentored by Foltz, then thrust into the fire when Foltz died. He was never quite able to fill those shoes and was just not cut out to compete at this level, but as far as we heard, he was a good teammate and tried his best. Best of luck to him in the future.
