  1. C'mon, let's get real folks: Coach Frost got left a dumpster fire of a program and he's having to rebuild from almost scratch. The only way his seat becomes warm is if another coach is sitting on it before he gets back to his office. That's it.

  2. The seat isn't anywhere close to warm until approaching the end of his contract if we're still a losing team year in and year out.

  4. OR, it has nothing to do with "I'm better than you," which is a trolling comment, and it's simple practicality. Trump is the most corrupt, dangerous person in the Oval Office in our lifetime. Getting rid of him is, by any measure, the most important thing in this election. No policy comes remotely close.

  5. Basically what I have read is that Obama knows very different coalitions with support from opposing factions of the party are going to be going head to head to see who wins the nomination. And he's the only one broadly popular enough within the party to try to bring them back together after one is defeated. He views himself as the one best equipped to help heal divisions within the party and achieve unity in the fight to unseat Trump. He was never going to endorse anyone during the primary because it would poison the well with the other group and hurt his ability to bring people back together after the primary. Nonsense. The guy has always been prone to verbal gaffes. In that sense he's not as sharp as he was in his heyday. Half the time it's because he's working to suppress a stutter he's had since he was a boy. But this notion that he's a geriatric out there being propped up by his handlers is getting a bit out of hand. Go watch a town hall of his if you want to see his ability to analyze and converse about complex issues. He's just not very good in debate settings.

  6. If you think one player was single handedly costing the team wins last year, I don't know what to tell you. If you think Martinez will be benched after a single bad game to start the season in 2020, I also don't know what to tell you. Neither of those things are true. If he struggles multiple times in September, he will get benched, but not after one game.

  7. I agree, he needs a long leash to rebuild the program. That said, he's 9-15. There's some fair questions to be asked if he's still not found a 6-6 record after 3 years. Fired? No, but come on. Coaches have done far more with less in our own division.

  8. i can't understand progressives not voting for the dem nominee if it isn't sanders. trump is the anti-thesis of what bernie stands for. bernie wants healthcare for all and don wants healthcare for none. bernie supporters want more SS and trump and the GOP wants to reduce it. sitting on your vote means you are ok if trump and his policies win.

  10. 2020 is just like 2016. If you don't vote for the main Democrat candidate, you're voting for Trump. You can spin that with stuff about "voting my conscience" or whatever, but the reality is pretty straightforward.

  11. Imagine if you had this same passion about the atrocities going on in the Oval Office instead of worrying what others think about you on a message board.

  12. There is no reason for him to struggle, and if he does he needs to be held accountable. We cannot have one player single handedly costing us wins. The time for that is over, if he can't ger it done, you try someone else until you run out of options. Why? Because the result in itself would already be losing. Losing worse or better at this point doesn't make sense. Struggling with the amount of experience he has should be a one off type situation. He needs to be better, and it needs to be from game 1. End of story.

  13. That may be true or the way some people view it but it really annoys me when people get on their high horse and say things like “if you don’t do this, then it means you must be/do/believe this other thing”. It’s a false equivalency that drives division and fosters extreme views. People that vote for Trump either prefer Trump or are voting against the other guy. People that vote for Biden/Sanders either prefer that person or are voting against Trump. But a person that doesn’t vote against Trump, that can indicate many things that do not equate to supporting Trump or being happy with the status quo. About the most that can be assumed is they may not hold the same level of disdain as you or some others do.

  14. Because old people vote, and they vote for candidates they know, and names that are familiar.

  15. Are you saying that isn’t already happening? I mean c’mon, have you seen Biden talk at his rally’s or in the debates. His mind and ability to rationally converse left him long ago.

  16. It's not off base. If you preferred Sanders you would vote for Sanders. There is no 3rd option. You either prefer the dem nominee or you prefer Trump. It sounds like if Sanders was the dem nominee you would prefer Trump, which is fine

  18. It isn't rocket science. You vote for the Democratic nominee or you enable Donald Trump, a zero sum game in a way. Almost like the adage, "if you don't condemn it, you condone it."

  22. I think you're right. Of the two, I think the Not Trump campaign is the strongest. I think that, had Bernie emerged from Super Tuesday with the best chances of the nomination, the "establishment" would be putting their support behind him, even if it was a bit reluctantly. They're more accepting of Biden because he's an actual Democrat, while Bernie (like Trump) just glommed on to the party rather than run as an independent, which he actually is. I can live with Joe Biden. I can live with Bernie. I could live with Warren, if she had a snowball's chance. Basically, anyone but Trump.

  23. Since I'm still registered GOP, I got to vote for someone other than Trump yesterday in the Okla primary.. It felt GOOD. I will gladly vote for Biden in the GE. I will vote for Sanders if he is the nominee - not because I agree with his policies but because I believe Trump is a greater threat if given 4 more years. Bernie's policies will still have to pass Congress. There are enough moderate Dems and GOP Senators to moderate any policy that is too extreme - even if the Dems take the senate.

  27. Things have been relatively quiet on the next generation console front, but we know that the PS5 and XBox Series X (XSX) are planning to launch during the Holiday 2020 Shopping Season. We don't have many details on the PS5, save for some various site leaks (which, notably have proven out for the XSX side of the infamous Github leak), but Microsoft has been kind enough to provide some details for the XSX: Known facts for the XBox Series X: Has12.1 Teraflops of GPU power. This power puts it ahead of most PC graphics cards (as of this post), including the Radeon 2080 (a ~$700 (U.S.) graphics card). Is rumored to be able to hit over 14 Teraflops when "variable clock rate" (similar to what the PS5 is doing) is engaged. Think of this as a "boost" mode, and not something that can be sustained. Fully Backwards Compatible with XBox One, and Backwards Compatible with most XBox 360 and many original XBox titles. Smart Delivery: If you're playing an XBox One, 360, or XBox title and updated assets and programming for the XSX is available, the XSX will automatically download the updates for free Example: CDPR (of Witcher fame) has already confirmed that those who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 this September 2020 for the XBox One will get the XSX assets and updates for free. One purchase supported across multiple generations (read: the antithesis of Bethesda and Skyrim) Zen 2 and RDNA 2 Architecture which will allow for real-time, hardware based ray tracing (big deal in PC gaming currently--needs a beefy graphics card to handle). A 52-Core Zen 2 AMD Proprietary processor that will run at 3.8Ghz is the processor under the hood. SSD Storage on Motherboard 16 GB of DDR6 RAM will power the console, with bandwidth speed of 560 GB/s for 10GB of RAM (read: RAM used for primary gaming functions), and 336 GB/s for 6 GB of RAM (read: dashboard, console utilities, secondary game functions) The RAM will operate with a 320-bit bus. HDMI 2.1 4K UHD Blu Ray Disk Drive 1 TB SSD storage in the consle for gaming and OS use Existing XBox One controllers will work with the XSX (read: you don't have to buy extra controllers at launch) There is a XSX-specific controller with the console (read: it looks the same as the XBox One controller, but has an extra share button and is rumored to have improved rumble and Bluetooth). Known facts for the PlayStation 5: Has 10.3 Teraflops of GPU power (when "variable clock rate engaged on the processor--think "boost mode". Base is 9.2 Teraflops during standard operation). This puts the PS5 squarely behind the XBox Series X in terms of computing power, and above most $300 graphics cards for the PC. The processor for the PS5 is also a Zen 2 proprietary processor, but with 36 cores and running at 3.5 GHz Sony has claimed that "hundreds" of PS4 games will work on the PS5, but specific numbers of compatible titles (or a list of incompatible titles) has not been provided 16 GB DDR 6 RAM with a 256-bit bus and a bandwidth speed of 448 GB/s for all 16 GB of RAM 825 GB SSD storage in the console for gaming and OS use 4K UHD Blu Ray Disk Drive Console architecture allows for a theoretical 5.5 GB I/O throughput on the motherboard. This is a raw number, and process overhead will easily eat into this. As of 3/20/2020, there have not been any images of the new console released yet. -------------------------------------------------------- Since the leaked info has more or less been proven correct for both consoles, people have gone forward on boards like NeoGAF and created charts to compare the data based off of what we know from the leak and what was released: Xbox Series X Sony PS5 CPU AMD Zen2 based 8-Core AMD Zen2 based 8-Core CPU Clock speed up to 3.8 GHz (3.66 with SMT) up to 3.5 GHz (SMT?) The leaked info provides more of an insight to how things are going, and Sony may not want to provide info considering they're in a vulnerable position right now. Anyway, as soon as there's more, I'll update this thread.

  29. I guess I don’t see anyone pretending he is the norm except those who will vote for him and support him. Once again, not voting against him does not equate to pretending he is any kind of norm or to supporting him. And this is coming from a person (me) who is going to vote against him.

  36. That's an unfortunate best attribute when our offense consists of maybe 5% rollouts? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for McCaffrey and the QBs as a whole. But people are drawing some big conclusions from a small sample size of plays they chose specifically for him last year. And I think we have good depth at QB, but you really don't know at QB until it's needed. We have 2 four stars (Martinez and Smothers), a highly athletic 3 star who is raw but has a lot of talent (McCaffrey), and a walk-on with some game experience (Vedral). Most of the past few years we've had multiple 4 stars, another guy (transfers like Lee, upside guys like Bush) and a walk-on who has played some. Hopefully these guys turn out differently than O'Brien, Gebbia, Stanton, Green, etc - but let's not pretend we know we have depth. We have talent there, but very little has been proven so far.

  39. The problem is, not enough of us young progressives even voted in the freaking primaries, let alone a general. Bernies shot at trump is these young progressive voters coming out in droves - not by the dozens. Bernie doesn’t have a snow balls chance in hell in the primaries or general if the young people don’t vote.

  40. I’m a Bernie supporter but more people voting for Biden does not equal elites taking out Bernie. Bernies base is young progressives who didn’t take to the polls yesterday, Biden rallied the working class dems, moderates and African American voters - who did take to the polls. The system isn’t broken like Fox News and Russia is spewing, more people just voted for Biden.
