  5. It definitely would be more consequential. 2 is more than 1, 2M is more than 5, 000 etc. but I totally get what @teachercd is saying. 1 vote (each vote) is the most important thing and we have to treat it as such. Looking at it any other way is what causes some people to feel their vote doesn't count. It's why we have pathetic voter turnout rates. But yes, obviously Trump or anyone f#&%ing around with the actual voting results would have more dire consequences than 1 ballot getting lost.

  7. Bumping the thread as Miami under new is looking really good. Again, hoping the addition of Austin and Lubick will show similar results....We are getting kids that "look" like teams that are winning...

  8. I'm too lazy to look any further but according to random s#!t I just read, if Trump or Barr were impeached right now the law states the Senate would have to prioritize that over a supreme court vote. Pelosi is "considering" it. It's time for the Democrats to play hardball.

  9. I've also noticed there is no more "Mark forum as read" button at the top when you do into a forum on mobile. I kinda liked that one. I will say the entire board loads so much faster which is awesome

  10. Stand in line for 6 hours to vote, you realize people have kids and jobs right? Also Here are the rules for Absentee Ballot voting in Texas: You may vote by absentee ballot in Texas if: you are 65 years or older; you are disabled; you will be out of the county on Election Day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or you are confined in jail, but otherwise eligible, or certified for participation in the address confidentiality program. Do us all a favor and educate yourself next time.

  11. Seriously? It is nowhere near "dead even". 23 wins is a significant lead in 15 years. During that 15 year stretch, they have 6 seasons with 11 wins. Nebraska has zero. During that 15 years, they had a better record 11 times. During the same period, they have 7 bowl wins to our 5 and they missed out on 2 years of bowls due to sanctions. I am a Nebraska fan but it is clear Penn State has been the significantly better program over the last 15 years. Prior to 2005, we were a dramatically better program than they were.

  12. JD took a lot of hard shots for us and stayed on the field, making plays. His toughness is the last thing anyone should question.

  13. Rewatched the OSU game from last year. We had LB fit problems, and werent as bad as the score. As for the offense, Martinez was trying to do too much, which is understandable considering our oline's issues, a toxic RB, the lack of perimeter blocking and drive from the WRs. We're going to be more game this year, and don't be surprised if this looks more like the 2018 game, but with improvements on D. Also, I think a few things are being understated: -the comfort factor Frost has with Lubick -Dawson will be an improvement at OLB (helped improve Markus Golden from 2.5 sacks the previous year to 10 sacks -the defensive analyst we got is legit. Was DC at BC and was a more than decent considering their level of talent. -we know who our RB is -we have a big body WR that can catch the 50-50 balls While we still have to prove it on field, we look better than we were last year.

  15. Honestly, the way this season has gone so far shouldn't surprise anyone, considering the lack of spring camps and non-conference warmup games. It could happen to Ohio State, too...

  21. Remember Ozigbo was third on the depth chart and see what he did later on in the season. I wouldn't be too worried about anything because it takes time to adapt. New offense and not a lot of practice time will affect that.

  22. It looks like there's a missing menu button on mobile. There's a menu in the code that gives you a way to get to notifications and such, but there doesn't seem to be a way to open it. The menu is called elMobileDrawer in the code, and it's hidden by default (as normal). It's the same type of menu as the Create New menu that opens when you click the + sign at the top. I'm assuming there's supposed to be another button up there that opens this menu, but it's missing. This is what it's supposed to look like (I manually edited the code to show the menu):

  23. No? but if you want to vote straight party lines you have the option now, hence saving time. You can still do it the other way as well. Are you saying you want unreasonable wait times for minorities? oh wait, of course you do...

  24. It is simple. Out of all the s#!t that we can do in this country...Voting and counting votes should be the simplest...period. It should start on a Friday at 12:01am, it should end Monday at midnight (is that really Tuesday), those two days should be off with pay for everyone, one of the days Sat/Sun should be off with pay as well, booths open 24/7 during that time. And every freaking vote needs to be counted. And, they need to have charter busses going around to pick up people that want to get out and vote in person at a booth. It needs to be free, easy, simple and fast. And you should still get a sticker and cookie! This is like a bad episode of Moonlighting (Anyone remember that?)

  27. I have heard that PJ pushes really hard for a commit, like crazy hard. And I bet it works a lot of the time and then some of those kids get back home and not being in his office and pressured probably helps them to sort of re-think things. It seems like he has had a decent amount of kids that have decommitted.

  34. That's stretching it a bit. You have no clue if he came to TCU with the same work ethic that he came here with. He may have been busting his a$$ the last 3 years here and has lost interest in playing (part of a reason maybe for leaving) and showed up there out of shape and not working as hard. I fully agree we need better talent and better development of that talent. But, I fail to see this as evidence by itself.

  36. I'm pretty excited to see how Mills looks this year. I was hard on that guy early in the year, which probably wasn't justified, being our line was pretty bad and we didn't have a guy to take over for what Stanley Morgan brought. I was watching some highlights of his runs later in the year, and there was a lot to like. He started to show more patience and stayed vertical, which allowed longer runs. Early on it appeared that he wanted to run everyone over. If he can make a speed jump like Ozigbo was able to do, he could be very, very good.

  37. @Redux: You are one of Huskerboard's most lovable characters in so many ways. I might even dare to say that @Redux is a treasure! However, the P&R forum has never really been your element. Over the years, you have dipped your toes into a P&R thread every once in a while, which is wonderful, but you have a tendency, once you are presented with facts or asked to provide your own facts to support of an opinion, to play the victim, leave the thread, and complain about it in the Woodshed. This is nothing new. For some reason you have committed to this Biden conspiracy moreso than other attempts to engage in political discussion. Which is totally cool if you are willing to back up your views with evidence. Or if you don't have actual evidence and are just giving an opinion, that's fine, but you should support your opinions with logic and reasoning based on the evidence. No one on this board like Joe Biden. If he exited the race, most of us would be happy. But for you to say that he is guilty of something, especially something of equal magnitude of Trump's crimes, begs for some sort of actual evidence, knowing that your opinion flies in the face of intelligence agencies, government experts, and professional journalists who have already looked into it. Your manner of political debate is not conducive to an otherwise informed discussion on the topic. I haven't weighed in on this topic lately because I haven't had anything intelligent to add that already hasn't been posted, and smarter posters than I have already provided a lot of good info. I would only look foolish if I jumped into a thread and started up with conspiracy theories and parroted conservative radio talking points without having any supporting evidence. Same with your Tulsi Gabbard bit. Believe what you want, but try to lay out an argument in which you use facts and evidence to form a reasonable conclusion. That's what we should all do with any argument, and our opinions, whether they be liberal or conservative, should be informed by the facts and evidence.
