And it wasn't like he just came out and said that. It was in response to a question about how he'd have to adjust to the B1G. So he was playing off the question, not just thumping his chest and bragging.3 points

What an embarrassment for the BIG. Not even having a single team considered to host a Regional. Thanks to Kevin Warrens incompetence. Its not safe to go play Creighton, UNO or KState midweek traveling by bus and returning home the same day- buts it's just fine to travel to COVID hotspots 1,000+ miles away and stay in hotels- got it. "Following the science" BIG doesnt care about baseball. OK to have a basketball tourney indoors- but a baseball tourney held outdoors in a Covid cold spot is too dangerous?? They make it SO easy for anyone to recruit against ANYONE in the BIG> Kudos to Will Bolt, recruiting with both hands tied behind his back and shackled to a 300 dead weight Kevin Warren with an ankle chain.3 points

I never thought Billy C’s offenses were all that special, I think a lot of people just remember when it was obvious he was going to be fired and he went full PlayStation mode at the end of the 2007 season. But, with any success at NU, he was going to high tail it back to the NFL as soon as he could. That guy didn’t like Lincoln.2 points

True story. I have 1 brother and 1 sister, both quite a few years older than me. When I was about 9 years old, +/- a few years, my brother explained to me how babies were made. My response? "Ooohh, you mean mom and dad had to do THAT 3 times?".2 points

The discussion is about the soul of the Republican Party, and the flashpoint at the moment is replacing Cheney with Stefanik. You keep saying stuff like "she's just a placeholder" as if that means something. What does that mean in this particular discussion? It's interesting because on and issue by issue basis, Cheney voted with Trump more often than Stefanik, and GOP opposition to Stefanik comes from those who thought she was far more apt to side with Democrats. Stefanik simply doubled-down with a full-throated endorsement of Trump, a willingness to support the Big Lie, and a promise to vote party line, earning the direct endorsement of Donald Trump himself. So for those who pretend to be issues-oriented Republicans; the Republican who is loyal to the issues just lost her influence because she wants the party to break from the irrational path of the Trump cult. She was replaced by someone who proved herself willing to say whatever Trump and his loyalists want her to say, because that's the new GOP. Republicans being asked to pick a lane actually have two terrible choices. GOP policies continue to be dangerous misrepresentation of what a majority of Americans want, and the additional tenets of Trumpism are literally insane.2 points

Phalen Sanford needs to be on the field somewhere this fall. Maybe it’s as a special teams beast, but that athleticism cannot ride the pine.2 points

Ms. Stefanik had indicated to lawmakers that she doesn’t plan to remain in leadership in the long term and has her eye on the top committee spots on the House Education and Labor or Intelligence panels. https://www.wsj.com/articles/elise-stefanik-elected-to-gop-leadership-replacing-liz-cheney-116209989392 points

Starting to notice a pattern here... Husband charged with murder of missing wife in Colorado is also charged with voter fraud for filling out her ballot A Colorado man who was recently charged with murder in the disappearance of his wife a year ago has also been charged with voter fraud for voting for Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election using his wife's mail-in ballot, according to an affidavit. Barry Lee Morphew last week was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and attempting to influence a public servant in connection with the death of his wife, Suzanne Morphew. Suzanne was reported missing on May 10, 2020. An arrest warrant filed in Chaffee County, Colorado on Thursday shows that Barry Morphew faces charges of forgery and offenses relating to mail ballots. The affidavit shows that a Chaffee County clerk reported the alleged voter fraud on October 22, 2020, after receiving a "voter ballot predesignated for a missing person, identified as Suzanne Renee Morphew." While the ballot did not have a voter signature, it had a handwritten name of Barry Lee Morphew on the designated signature line for a witness, according to the affidavit. When FBI agents went to interview Barry Morphew on April 22, 2021, he told them he did it because he wanted Trump to win reelection.2 points

To go bowling, or to get to 6 wins, Illinois is a very, very, very important game. Probable Wins: 4 games Fordham, Buffalo, Mich State, Purdue So if NU doesn't beat Illinois, then the Huskers have to dig up 2 wins against: OU, NW, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio St, Wisconsin, Iowa I would feel a lot better if the Cornhuskers can take care of Illinois, win the probable match ups, and only need 1 win from the remaining opponents. It's likely that the Huskers won't be favored in any of those games, no matter where your heart is.2 points

Meh, even with a decent DC, I'd say Callahan's ceiling was lower than Bo's. He was always gonna be an awkward fit at best, no matter who his assistants were. There's a reason why he's stayed away from college coaching, and hasn't exactly been a hot name in head coach searches (other than a brief interim HC stint with the Redskins).2 points

I’m admittedly bitter. Just hate that Nebraska basketball was forced to play out their whole schedule despite Covid concerns but now it would benefit Nebraska to enforce the same policy. It’s not so important anymore.1 point
-
We are close to agreeing, but do you think teams should be given a forfeit if they aren’t able to field a team due to COVID issues within the team? That’s where I disagree. This isn’t like running out of arms because of injuries or a traditional illness, these are health and safety protocols within a pandemic. It sucks when it happens to NU, but a no-contest is the appropriate result.1 point
-
No I get it. It just sucks that Nebraska can’t pick up games against healthy teams and can have games cancelled for something that have no control over. NW is at no fault but we also are victims because the B1G adopted a dumbass policy.1 point

Geesh, so why are all the Dems up in arms about Liz Cheney if she voted for all these horrible dangerous positions and bills? One would think Dems would be glad to have souch a demon voter out of leadership.1 point

“I’m hoping the Big Ten has to modify their system for us,” Frost said confidently, resulting in a loud cheer from the group of current and former players and NU administration. Your right, the quote was much more nuanced. I would also be the first one to cheerlead more of these proclamations, if of course we were having some success. Hard to believe, but this quote is now 3 1/2 years old.1 point
