Why do we need these threads when there are already threads for these recruits in the recruiting section?8 points

Sooo….a$$ hole fans message recruits because they can’t handle the idea of him going somewhere else….and the problem is the kid that simply says he hasn’t badmouthed Nebraska. O…k6 points

He is a 17/18 year old kid with hundreds of thousands of NIL dollars at stake & a potential NFL future. He has already done amazing work for the community given his position/age. It’s alright.6 points

There are always a few casualties in a transition class. It also doesn't help that we don't actually have a LB coach here recruiting yet. Plus, he has a chance to go to a playoff team so who can blame him. We'll be fine and I'm excited to see a full recruiting class from this staff next year.5 points

They play two different positions. Borders has done 0 at the college level. 1-2 tackles in two years. Hausmann had 54 starting the back half of the year as a true freshman. There is a reason OSU, UM, & iowa wanted him. Not gonna lie I get you’re trying to rationalize a loss but let’s be real here. They aren’t even close to comparable at least so far.5 points

Hello Jeff Sims. Wonder if we take Hornsby. Means Thompson is gone in that case but. Throws a pretty good amount of picks. Yolo bomb Tommy 2.0?5 points

I’m not looking for “exciting” in the head coach. I don’t want the coach to be the circus show that detracts from the players. I think Trev feels the same way. Also, when Prime leaves, the players will care more about him than CU and more will bolt for the portal. Rhule has the ability to build a much more stable foundation here.5 points

This thread is going to have more twists and turns than the Bookie/Owa/Darnay Holmes threads COMBINED. Look I know what we're all thinking and as long as he says he's gonna be cool. What about, maybe just this once we let Matty Ice come back?5 points

"I have relatives that are saying" is not anecdotal evidence? Ok. The link below shows in the latest 11 national polls listed that Trump is polling ahead of Desantis in 8. 8 out of 11. He's consistently above 35% and usually above 40 to 45%. Which makes my point. The fact that even after his crime sprees, his continuing assault on democracy and the constitution, his overt racism/antisemitism he still has even that much support shows he has a cult following. That's a problem for the Republicans. Combine that with his malignant narcissism and I go back to the question I asked you before. As a strategist what would you do to solve the problem of him potentially doing what narcissists do, destroying anyone and everything that they can't control, not whether or not he will win the nomination? Just hope he plays nice and bows out gracefully if Desantis wins the nomination? If you can't answer that's understandable. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-primary-r/5 points

And from watching film on Fields, I'm more excited to have him then Moore. You can't teach speed.4 points

No gonna lie, pretty surprised by this. The initial report about his visit was misleading but it really sounded like Hornsby was pretty popular.4 points

Just because there are a$$ holes in every fan base, doesnt mean they shouldn’t be called out as being a$$ holes. Which, he didn’t do. The idiots in this are the fans doing it.3 points
-
Also, this is a small majority of an entire fan base that’s treating him like that. If he is on social media than it’s an avenue for positive and negative comments to be said. It’s hurtful, but this seems a little over dramatic by him. Again just a small portion of the fan base acting like that, and yet he brought the attention back on himself as if an entire fan base is attacking him. Brush it off kid, the world will always have critics.3 points
-
They cared enough to have in home visits/etc with him. I think they care more than you think. They do however have a plan in place with fields.3 points

The Colorado thing seems like a reality show. Might be a good way to get some NIL. I don’t think this is going to work in the long term. Too many egos. Not enough budget or room.3 points
-
What are you, like 12 yo? Weren’t you around in the 80s & 90s? That would be a stable foundation. Sanders may bring some excitement and bling to a downtrodden program like CU but when he leaves, and he will leave there relatively soon, they will quickly fall back to where they were the day he showed up. Anybody that thinks his stint at CU ends any differently is fooling themselves.3 points

I love literal interpretations. BUT what I mean is....My 'poll' of 4 Trumpsters (who idolized him, believed he was God’s gift to America and that he would be president despite the fact he lost the election) no longer want him to run for president in 2024. These are people that do not take polls. It may be anecdotal to you all and I get it, but to me it means way more than a scientific poll. It’s a huge shift in attitude.3 points
-
I'm not sure how you can say it's not anecdotal evidence unless you don't know what "anecdotal" means. Oxford: anecdotal (adjective): (of an account) not necessarily true or reliable, because based on personal accounts rather than facts or research Merriam: anecdotal (adjective): based on or consisting of reports or observations of usually unscientific observers3 points

I realize it makes sense from a football standpoint. It just seems odd that he could graduate a year-and-a-half early at the drop of a hat. Perhaps he could graduate by May. Which would still work. But isn't as nice as enrolling in college for spring ball.3 points

Everyone was excited about Tyreke Johnson too at one point. Maybe a chance of a scenery will help but Florida wasn’t exactly good the last two years and this year he got beat out by two true freshman for playing time3 points

I don’t think “at will” comes into play at all since we’re talking about contracted employees. Otherwise UNL has grossly overpaid buyouts over the past 10 years…3 points

So you going to add any context to this? Who said it? When? Link? It could be Coach Hayden Fox from Minnesota State and Dr Suess given what you provided.2 points

I don't think so. If Nebraska can gain the commitment of Chief Borders then I don't think they think it's a huge lose.2 points

He seems pretty open to run whatever offense and the rumor was recruits were saying we were gonna be more RPO based next year. From listening to Rhule talk and seeing the QBs we are targeting it def seems to me it will be heavy run focus including QB runs.2 points

I saw the tweet it was flames and it said 2024 do you think it has something to do with Dylan?2 points

Yeah IDK either to be honest. Usually contracts are different. I think the overall point though is, more or less, how silly the conversation became surrounding whether or not this would lead to his dismissal/departure. This was always going to be the likely outcome.2 points

All about Drama…. He and mom…. Hype, hype, hype…. Why even post that on Twitter, other than to get more comments… he is a stud, but yikes…. It’s always been a soap opera with him2 points

Ok where's Maine, where's New Hampshire, where's Vermont, where's Connecticut, where's Delaware on that list? All states with older average age or close to the same as Florida, you know. Maybe a leader should consider his constituents age2 points

Everyone gets so excited about transfers but there's a much higher chance it doesn't work out than it being a hit. Way more Tyreke Johnsons than Trey Palmers.2 points

You'd hope the parents see through the nonsense that is Prime at Colorado...he went there for the check or to get in and bounce like Mel Tucker.2 points

Let’s just say it was sped up, which I doubt, you can still compare his speed to those on the field. There’s a significant difference. Its not Avatar CGI, it’s a high school game tape. Dude flies2 points
-
I think that his film is sped up. Not saying it’s malicious as everybody from his team has the same sped up film. It could be something in converting the video files from one format to another. EDIT: Never mind, it was a problem with HUDL on mobile with an update on my phone. Literally every video is playing back 10% fast.2 points
