  1. How many masks do you have?

I have three, all made for me by friends/family. One super heavy one with Star Wars art on the front and flannel on the inside, one with some new-age looking art pattern that's mostly orange, and one more bright orange one with ties instead of elastic bands.

I forgot I also have a paper mask someone gave me. Not sure what kind it is. It's in the car in case I forget my others. I really only wear the orange print one. It's the most comfortable and quite stylish. :D

Three: two cloth ones made with a NASA print, and one provided to me by my school.

Have about 40 cheap disposable surgical masks left and 40ish more washables on the way. Relax, they're not all for me. A few each for everyone in the fam and the rest for my employees at work. The cheapo disposables don't hold up or last very long. Also have 4 N95's with face seal and exhale vents, one for everyone in the family. The face seals were starting to dry rot so I didn't think anyone would appreciate them being donated.  Those are all I had at work when this hit. I used mine a few times early on but am just wearing the cheapos when I go out now. However I shouldn't refer to them as cheapos as I got them on Amazon at about 4x normal cost....but they are all I've been able to get my hands on so far.

Said in another way: I can't remember the last game (at least 3 years?) I watched a Husker game and never once had to think to myself, "We might lose this game."

In 2012 Woods’ cause of death was changed from accidental to undetermined triggering a cold case team being assigned. The team is trying to get some publicity generated and maybe someone will come forward with information- like Duvall or Walken sharing information with confidants, that may help solve the case. Neither Duvall or Walken will talk to investigators, although it was stated that Walken did share some pertainent information that will remain confidential for now and he is not considered a suspect

Things I’ve recently read about Hollywood and celebrities, which aren’t on public record yet, will make any human disgusted with the power, abuse, and coverups.

  7. I forgot all about Spring Game tickets. Got some in my same section, a few rows back.

  9. I guess we'll see if Clemson can beat Notre Dame with one Trevor Lawrence tied behind their back next week.

If Clemson wins, just ship them the trophy that night.

    1. C N Red

      C N Red

Actually a smart strategy. If they lose, nbd, didnt have TL so CFP will still let them in with a loss. If lost with TL it would be much harder. But honestly, ND isnt thst good and i expect Clemson to win anyway.

  10. I have to buy bourbon as an ingredient for a recipe. Can anyone recommend a decent brand? Preferably one I can get at a local grocery store.

Jim Beam should be good. It's got a nice spicy note and isn't terribly sweet. I used it for a bourbon sauce on burgers and in marinade for pulled pork. It worked really well.

I went with Maker's Mark.  They had a smallish bottle for about $19. I only need a cup.

It smells awful. I think bourbon consumption is mostly based on a dare.

    4. ZRod

      ZRod

Maker's Mark is pretty good. All whiskeys smell funky, but bourbon taste the best. I could never drink it neat but in an old fashion, Manhattan, or just some ice it's good stuff.

  12. I misread the announcement and thought it said "Board Outrage Tonight" and my first thought was... what did GSG do now?

  13. I never realized this, but technically it's true.

  14. I see Hollywood is doing it's best to wring every drop of profit they can from the minimal works of JRR Tolkien. Just saw the trailer for the movie about him today. It looks like a way to revisit Middle Earth without going full-bore into something like the Silmarillion.

@Mavric I also have to enter the pw for the shed every few days. I’ve never said anything because I just thought that’s the way it was. It’s not a big deal, keeps me from forgetting it.

  17. I've had tickets to all three games Nebraska has canceled in the past 50 years. 2012 & 2020 Spring Games, and the 2018 Akron game.

I also have my tickets for the 2020 season on order.

    Maybe I'm the bad luck.

    1. Mavric

      Mavric

Ha!  I can't remember if I had tickets to the 2012 spring game or not.  I know we didn't got but I can't remember if I had tickets and sold them or not.  But other than that, I'm in the same boat.

Dad & I were in the stands for both rainouts. We had west stadium club seats for 2012 and could see the storm rolling in from the big west windows.

For Akron, we could see the lightning coming at us from our seats in north stadium.

    3. whateveritis1224

      whateveritis1224

I sat in the stadium during the two rain outs (got absolutely drenched both times, Akron more after they called the game) and also had tickets for this Spring Game. Too bad I printed the 2012 tickets on paper and have no clue where the Akron ticket went. 2020 Spring Game tickets are on my fridge.

  20. If you could have one world-class talent, that you'd never make a dime from, but would just be for you to enjoy, what would it be?

      BigRedBuster

My first thought was golf.  But, I would be making a lot of "dimes" off my friends, so that disqualifies that.

So....I'll go with fine wood working.  I'm trying, and I have made some nice things.  But, there are some people who just have a talent with it that takes it to another level.

    3. Xmas32

      Xmas32

I'm assuming the parameters would include your can give away your talent for free/friends and family can enjoy it so I'd go with being a world class saxophone player.  Pianist is a good call too @ladyhawke.

    4. CheeseHusker

      CheeseHusker

I'd say being a world-class drummer, but I am actually a very good drummer who isn't making a dime from it, so I guess I'm already kinda there.

@Xmas32  I believe the status OP proves beyond a reasonable doubt, you cannot have multiple lasagna. You can only have more or thicker lasagna.

Folks--there's a reason the rest of the P5 conferences abhor using Pac-12 officials--because stuff like this happens almost every...single...time...

...don't believe me? Go ask Oklahoma, who got one of the most famous of screw jobs from the (then) Pac-10.

It's also important to mark this day, because Teddy Greenstein, who has traditionally hated on Nebraska and wasn't a big fan of our inclusion into the conference, is defending us and our accusations of officiating bias in public. It means, in a way, he's finally accepted we're in the B1G.

I think the one that got to me the most was the review of the 4th down spot and Frost was absolutely irate about. I thought they were short and that the ball never reached the 48 yd. line but apparently there was not enough evidence to overturn it.

    3. Enhance

      Enhance

That'd be a fascinating case study. I think college basketball is more devalued than college football because of the one-and-done rule, at least in terms of overall perception of the two sports. So far, no players have foregone the CFP in favor of the draft/NFL. I don't know if anybody has forgone the NCAA tournament for the NBA.
