They do have long lines and wait times. Which will be another majot obstacle Knap. I haven't looked much into ACA since it was signed, but we all knew the fatal flaw was the lack of control over rising premiuns. The only way tonfix that is regulations, like it or not. Until the price is equal for the same procedure in the same genral area we are going to have issues.

It's nice to see other people recognizing this. My wife and I are trying hard to take responsibility for our own health and our children's health and to get out of this system of just taking a pill for everything.

That said, health care costs and insurance premiums are taking a huge toll on our financial outlook personally. It is very sobering.

  2. The fact that universities are offering grief counseling to students about the election results is beyond weird. Good lord.

Sorry, wasn't directing that at you per se, just a pet peeve of mine. When I get time to watch TV, I see al these newly named conditions and diseases that have come up with, then they say take this little pill to correct X? But then they list 1,000,000,000 potential reactions to taking the pill, including dying, which causes me to laugh at those who would be in no better shape than they were pror to seeing the ad.

ZRod- that would never work. Then they would have to actually say something. They're just looking for an opportunity for sound bites that will play well. Actual substance does not enter the equation. The candidates are almost as bad as the media members.....almost.

I think you guys really nailed it when you said that it's important to care about local and state elections.

Hell, even your Congress member. Take a look at their record. If they're not representing you the way you want, vote for someone else. It blows my mind that Congressional approval is so low and yet the same people continue to just get reelected.

BC wasn't saying that the Taylor Martinez era was getting stale because of Taylor Martinez. He was talking about the hype and BS that swirled around him for four years. A lot of which came from places like HuskerBoard.

For better or worse, Taylor was a HUGE talking point. The team got tired of hearing the same story over and over. And really, who didn't?

Speaking of cursive. When taking the Praxis test at UNK, we have to fill out a form saying we won't give up any of the test questions. It's like a 2 paragraph agreement we are required to write in cursive. Took me like 30 minutes.

It is not about production. If that were the case, then no one would be questioning the decision to play Newby over Wilbon or Ozigbo. It is about passing the eye test. When you watch the OL, do you see a consistent push off the ball, athletic bigs that can get into the flats to run block in the screen game, or clean OL play before and after the snap? These are realistic concerns. The OL is a contributing factor to the 2-3 record.

  18. Was sitting at the Aurora/Gretna game tonight in Aurora. One of the coaches sons who is out of high school attends UNL and has/had a football theory course with Tommy Armstrong. Kid said that TA isn't very bright and got a 60% (D-) on a football theory test that this kid got a 100% on. I have reason to trust this kid.

@Coach Power'T   IF (and it is an outrageous "if") your post about winning out happens, I think I would be happy to keep Riley.  Even though his style isn't anything to get excited about, that accomplishment would show a lot of how he can pull a team together and save them from collapse.  I don't want to see it used as an excuse, but this is a pretty young team.  And if they finish 8-4 with a finish like your post describes, I'd be pretty excited for next year.

    4. Redux

      Redux

If the impossible halpens and they finish 8-4, Riley still gets replaced.  But, if he manages to stay another year, I promise you Nebraska plays a different style of offense in 2019.  So either way, next year this team will be different.

There is a larger point of BBall officiating in general. Refs have too much control, and can make teams play they way they think a game should be played, not just sticking to the rules

    3. strigori

      strigori

And if you get a ref draw that does not let a team play the way their conf plays, that team might as well be playing vs 6 players
