Rex deserved a ring damnit!

Ricky Gervais wanted for murder. Absolutely brutal scene.
He literally murdered all of Hollywood and Apple last night at the Golden Globes.
NSFW warning. It's mostly censored but there's one or two naughty words.

@ZRod Correct you are. Just having a little fun with conspiracies

8PM for me, NOOOOOO I finally get the kids to bed and I can catch up on the days happenings. Why not push it to 10PM PST for us West Coasters. We all know @Mavric is a robot and doesn't sleep anyways.

RIP Huskerboard. See you fellas on the other side...

@TonyStalloni, quite possible. What I do know is people will better understand there was a reason this place existed alongside other forums. A nice, simple, forum.

RIP Niki Lauda. During the biggest week in Motorsports we loose one of the sports biggest legends, and most honorable human beings. He was read his last rights after his fiery Nurburgring crash, but being the a$$h@!e he was it took death 43 years to claim him.

I wasn't even aware that he busted Boeing's balls when one of his airliners crashed (yes he owned an airline) and basically made them admit fault. He said he would fly their plane (Niki was also a pilot among many other things) and engage the reverse thrusters mid air. He knew it would cause the plane to crash after flying their simulators. He forced them to issue a statement saying as much, after they initially refused.
The man had no time for bulls#!t.

@ZRod saw this on Twitter today and thought you might get a kick out of it. It's a side-by-side video comparing F1 pit stops in 2019 to those in 1981. http://digg.com/2019/f1-pit-stop-fast

Ripping up tile floors sucks! 2 and a half hours and I'm barely done on a small bathroom.
The jabronies used a morter bed with metal mesh in 2003. I would have thought cement board would have been a way better option back then.

@teachercd I'm ponying up the cash for Trex decking because I don't want to have to do maintenance on this thing again. And since the railing needs to be replaced, I figure I might as well do it right and not have to redo any of it.
-
@ZRod I had heard that too. I ordered some samples to find the color we liked, so I took the sample pieces out onto the deck and left them in the sun for several hours. Then I measured the temps, and surprisingly the dark-colored composite material was about 10 deg cooler than the old wood deck and the light composite was a few deg cooler than the darker material.

Scott Frost and Chins game planning this week. Probably.

SEC refs are right up there with the B1G. So far I've seen spearing, face mask, PI and holding all going uncalled in the first quarter. 3 of those were in the same series.

Since it's the off season and we have a Martinez highlight video up... Will Adrian Martinez be the first Husker QB to start at QB in the NFL in like forever?

Of course I am anticipating some growth for the true freshman 2AM to be near the same level of a Mahomes. But I don’t think there is any denying their style of play is similar. And since the question was will he be the first Husker QB to start in the NFL in a long time, I think it’s a factor that the style of play the NFL is looking for seems to be expanding and trending in that direction and it’s no longer just the standard pocket passer. It may be a long shot but he’s likely the best chance we’ve had in a long time.

So 2020's got that going for it. Which is nice.

So we need to bring Frank back to Memorial and sacrifice what mascot to break this curse? Bevo, Ralphie, nuke a cyclone, make some tiger boots, clip a jay hawk, skin a wild cat?

So, a friend who is a nurse was approached by some pretty major national news outlets to potentially do a "Diary" type thing of her experience as she treats COVID patients. She wants to do it to speak out about how under prepared everyone is, not specifically her place of employment.
The fiancée and I fully support her, but I'm pretty nervous about her potentially getting reprimanded by her employer, or even fired. Any ideas how she could CYOA legally to protect against any retribution?

@teachercd Maybe, maybe not. Even in this environment potential new employers may want recent work history or recommendations. Hospitals will always frown upon exposé type stuff.

So, our QBs aren't making the greatest decisions in the running/RPO game... Martinez maybe made one read correctly the first two series (the defender played it almost perfect though on the one I'll give AM), and made a bad false step on the counter speed option that, combined with not attacking the EMOL, cost us big yards. Bunch didn't seem too much better from what I remember.
Compounded with piss poor pass protection it led to almost no yardage...

Sorry @knapplc but I love seeing Daniel eat turf!

@ZRod Not so much. I haven't watched the NFL in years. I'm technically still a fan, but couldn't tell you who's on the team or where they are in the standings.

Such a wonderful feeling when you start a dead sprint and your hamstring goes... Pop!
The best part is it doesn't even hurt, you just instantly know it's wrong.

The hardest choice in life is where to eat brunch in Detroit. This town knows how to do breakfast (and booze!)

The Sandlot turned 25 last Sunday. That was the movie of my childhood. I watched it so many times I thought my VHS tapes was going to melt.

We lived in a tiny town in northwest Missouri and for the girls, softball WAS our summer! It was the same for the boys. Both my parents coached teams and my dad was an umpire almost any time they needed him. (God rest his soul. I didn't care for it when he was the ump though because I was a terrible hitter. He would always say, 'You run like a damn girl!' Newsflash Dad! I AM a girl! LOL) My husband was born/raised here in Omaha and he said he couldn't remember a time when they didn't have pick up games of baseball. We both love that movie! What is your favorite part? Mine is when the kid with the glasses finally gets to kiss the lifeguard! HILARIOUS!! That part cracks me up every time I watch it!
