  7. I would like Riley to stay so I can see what Diaco's defense can become if we get the likes of Bookie, Parsons, Tutt and a few other defensive studs.

  8. I don't want Riley fired if we lose 2 more games. I want his recruiting class to come here. And losing 2 more games would mean we beat at least 2 of: Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State In fact, losing 2 more games might get us to the Big Ten Championship, as long as one of the wins is against Wisconsin. Before anyone who's too stupid to know what a conditional statement is chimes in - I don't think we'll lose only 2 more games.

  9. Holding any team under 200 yards in todays game is a pretty damn good accomplishment.

  10. In high school, Tyjon could use his agility to make literally everyone on the field miss if he wanted to. Everyone. Could he have ran around people? Obviously, but he didn't have to. Just juke em out. I think he's an extremely talented guy still getting used to the speed of the college game. He still always makes the first guy miss. But the game is faster. Pursuit is faster. He still makes the first guy miss, and then has 3 more guys closing in. Sam M. tweeted about it tonight -- he had a TD on that swing pass if he just uses his speed. I think he's just learning when he needs to use the agility and when he needs to burn people.

  11. The defense has played well the last three weeks. They have played the #84, #81 and #112 offenses in terms of completion percentage. They have played the #90, #117 and #102 offenses in terms of yards per game. They have played the #87, #81 and #107 scoring offenses. Based on our less-than-stellar cornerback play and tackling in general, I'm not sure it will hold up. But they've done about all they could do for the last three games.

  12. Siap so not sure of validity first time since 2001. Defense has given up less than 200 *yds in back to back games. Lowest points given up on the road since K state in 2006. Bad offenses or not thats not to shabby.

  14. Real class act here. He made an observation about MR's demeaner, and how it was different than in the past. And then added a well thought out explanation for his observation. Instead of making your cute Doctor remark, why don't you present something that refutes what he thinks?

  15. I feel bad for the dude. Every time they showed him the last quarter it looked like someone had just kicked his dog. It's a damn shame really. I know he may not be as good, or as successful as we hoped, but hate to see anyone down like that. Life is life after all.

  20. The problem I have with that is he didn't do anything different this game, he just got better results. Pass pro was better, play calling allowed him to get rid of the ball, lack of coverage allowed for open receivers, but he did what he's been doing. What I think are his real biggest problems, pocket awareness and keeping his feet alive, didn't change. Confidence should come from doing things properly, not results. If you're not doing things properly, but getting the desired results, it creates a false feedback loop that can be hard to change.

  23. The way I'd phrase it: Morgan produced well but didn't play overly well. I think both of those things can be true at the same time. The number of drops he had and the fumble were pretty disappointing, and a couple of those drops were balls he should've caught. There's no denying the offense has a better rhythm with him in, though.

  24. They have also only allowed 200 yards or less in back to back games. Which hasn’t been done in 16 years. Think of all the crappy teams we have played in 16 years. tonight was the fewest points given up on the road in over 20 years. Like back to the 90s man. Again think of all of the crappy teams that we have played. Yes the offenses were were not good, and there is a lot to work on, but they just did some things that haven’t been done in a generation.

  26. His pay right now is 1.8 million. we can double if not triple it plus his staffers. Ive changed my mind about everything today. I'm all in on going to get Frost this year.

  27. In 2 years Frost has changed the culture, recruiting and beliefs of all his players and staff. Doesn't matter if it was in year 1 or year 4 in my opinion, the guy knows what he is doing. Players would run thru a brick wall for this guy. I dare to say that he might have more talent at skills positions that what we have. Speed is not coachable!

  28. Yea... men are far more reasonable than those crazy, emotional women. It's almost like men never use words that are exclusively used to disparage women or people acting like women. Or... It's almost like "mansplaining" and "womansplaining" don't happen in the same proportion.

  29. I''m watching some of the Wisc-NW game. We are closer to NW level then Wisconsin level and expect our game next week to have about the same results. Wisconsin will shut down our run game and force Tanner into throwing. Langs will oblige and we won't have much success passing either. The kind of pressure Wisconsin can put on a QB doesn't bode well for Tanner. I'm not sure NW will break 200 yards.

  30. Today's games will probably drop him a couple spots, but as of right now he's #1 in the conference in catches, receiving yards, and receiving TDs. If he didn't miss last week his lead in all categories would likely be comfortable.

  36. I learned our defense can be pretty good if our corners stay on the receivers and look for the ball. Also learned our best DB might be a tight end.

  37. I'd like to think that bringing in Diaco was, at least partly, to get over the hump on both Wisconsin and Iowa. At the end of the day our team needs to be built around that strategy. Beating Oregon would be nice, but beating Wisconsin is critical.
