  1. Should you really insult someone you are asking for help from? Should you really insult someone when you are trying to "negotiate" with them? Should the President of the United States, a man in his 70s, really be insulting anyone? Should we as the American Public accept someone in our highest office who day after day, hour after hour does the very things we tell our children never to do or say?

  2. As big as recruitment as this is, I honestly think we are undervauling the importance of this. We were miles behind, not even in the picture, prior to Frost/Rudd. Within 6 months we lead. Also this is the #1 kid on the overall board, the one the staff circled and said we must get. TO made that public even and that wasn't on accident.

  3. The problem is Trump's apparent solution is exactly the solution that Vladmir Putin would propose as well: Cleave the U.S. from their relationship with both the U.K. and the E.U., shred longstanding alliances like NATO & have everyone go their separate ways retreating into another era of isolationism. That works so well for Russia because it's near impossible for any single nation to punish them for their heinous actions on the world stage. It takes a concerted group effort. Surely you see how this would not be in our interests? An unchecked, emboldened Russia is going to continue to f#ck with our elections, among other things.

  9. Threatening nuclear war and using childish insults, all via tweet, is not "standing up to" anyone. Nor is meeting with their leader and getting along with him so well that you declare the threat is over and say you're going to stop "provocative" military games, and in addition to that tell people everyone's done bad stuff, as a way of underselling the cruelty of the leaders of North Korea toward their people.

  10. greed rules https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/08/health/world-health-breastfeeding-ecuador-trump.html A resolution to encourage breast-feeding was expected to be approved quickly and easily by the hundreds of government delegates who gathered this spring in Geneva for the United Nations-affiliated World Health Assembly. Based on decades of research, the resolution says that mother’s milk is healthiest for children and countries should strive to limit the inaccurate or misleading marketing of breast milk substitutes. Then the United States delegation, embracing the interests of infant formula manufacturers, upended the deliberations.

  13. Enjoyed ^^^ this read. It would be a blast to see him play tennis. I bet that is a bit weird with his size. Anyway, being a tennis player myself it would be fun to see his footwork at that size. Love that he attacks everything he likes to participate in. Sounds like we found a gem who loved his Mom. Special.

  14. No President has ever so blatantly lied so often and insulted so many of our allies on such a regular basis. Weather you realize it or not, that’s a serious issue. When was the last time a US President won’t visit London because of lies and insults have built up so much anger amongst the British population. Great Brittain has been one of our oldest and best allies. And now our President is scared to even go there......because of lies just like what I posted earlier.

  19. You mean the 45 minute snooze-fest of a fight that has no stakes because we already know who wins? I mean, Lucas threw falling stuff, lava, and lava-surfboards (how ridiculous was that?) in there just to keep the audience from falling asleep. The fight could have been WAY more interesting if there were some stakes - like if Anakin wasn't fully evil and was more conflicted like he was in episodes 5 and 6. Then Obi-wan drawing the fight out for a long time to try to convert him back at least makes sense. I didn't think Vader was born that way given we've both seen Anakin for 2.5 movies up to that point and we know Anakin becomes Darth Vader and we've already seen Vader and his redemption story. It's one of the classic pitfalls of telling a prequel. The fact Lucas tries to play up the big "reveals" of Palpatine being Sidious and Anakin becoming Vader show just how terrible of a storyteller he is. The prequels absolutely fall flat on the thing most important to them: character development. Prequels need to have interesting character development because the basics of the plot and how it ends are already known. And the plot is about the fall of Anakin Skywalker, so it hinges very heavily on that character.

  20. I think being tied with Iowa shows how confident people are in Frost. Iowa's playing weaker crossover opponents, and destroyed us the past 2 years. Or is there something I don't know - did they lose most of their starters?

  23. Was talking to my wife about this tonight. She is a NICU nurse and has attended many several feeding conferences herself and routinely works with lactation consultants. She says this is an "old" conversation that has finally had a spotlight put onto it. Apparently, the consensus among the "breast feeding professionals" isn't about greed from the formula companies like Similac, but higher up. The thought is that the U.S. would rather have women feel comfortable returning to work and not breast feeding if they feel formula is an equal (if not better) alternative. If women were told that breast feeding is healthier, they might want something like 12 month maternity leave. WIC checks paying for formula is an investment in not expanding paid maternity leave.

  25. And Trumps tactics are fearful and destructive. He isn't 'strong.' He comes off incredibly weak and juvinile(sp.) Real leaders lift others up, not tear them down. That doesn't mean we engage in things that are bad for us, but what it does mean is we set the example. All Trump knows is tear people down. He couldn't lead a horse to water.

  28. He literally said that the other countries in NATO has never done anything for our security. You dont find that appalling when when their soldiers have died helping us fight our wars? i have no problem talking about the financial issues ...and I would agree with the President. But, statements like this should NOT go unnoticed. Right now now we are alone in the world because of this piece of crap and most of that is because of his total lack of knowledge and lies on subjects like this.

  30. The whole reason the Trade Federation attacked Naboo was a manipulation (there's something about an important good for the Trade Federation being unreasonably taxed, or it was a trade lane, I'm too tired to look it up right now) by Palpatine as a false flag operation to first remove the sitting Supreme Chancellor and second to use the invasion to gain sympathy votes to become the Supreme Chancellor. He then turned public opinion away from an institution that had helped keep the piece for 1000 years so that when Mace and his posse go to arrest him it becomes easy justification for their eradication in the 3 minutes of screen time (because again Palps ordered the Clone Army with the thing that made them turn on the Jedi to wipe them out).

  31. So episode 1 doesn't have either overarching plot. And the downfall of the Jedi is literally just an order given out and executed - takes about 3 minutes of screen time. Which of us is the pot and which is the kettle?

  34. While I agree...That probably depends on the person in the picture and the person looking at it. I don't hunt, I don't understand hunting, I don't understand how people want to use their time hunting. When friends show me a picture of them, with their hunting gun next to some dead animal...I think "That is lame, what a huge waste of money and time...also...did the animal have a gun?" When I see some dork flashing a gun to act hard on social media I think :"That is lame, what a dork" I imagine that people all have different reactions.
