  1. Interesting tidbit that doesn't really say much. If that's to believe, then the third would presumably either be a black jersey, an all-white alternate (which we've worn a lot over the last few years), or an all-red alternate? Or, this:

  4. I personally hate the all-white look - the ones we wore against NW were the best by far, I could tolerate those. But in general I just don't like the look, if we go all one color I prefer red. I feel like it has to be black if it's true though, "third team jersey color" implies not red or white. We don't have a tertiary color, and black is really the only other color that makes sense with the blackshirts. Anything other than black or a gray/silver probably just clashes too hard with the traditional red.

  8. I hope not gray. I’ve never liked when the coaches wear gray because it looks too Ohio Statey. or should I say aOSU. AN Ohio State.

  10. "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" is good. Really, really good. Might be the best Spider-Man flick of them all. And it helped me teach the Spider-Man theme to my 2 year old.

  13. That's busier than the aforementioned picture, which is a basic palate swap between red and black. Also, the original throwbacks were simply a font change and numbers on the helmet.

  14. Anything could have happened last year. Top player lost for the season against Akron. Who knows? Nothing we can do or say about last year that makes a bit of difference. We all believe that Coach Frost is doing everything he can to make the program what it was. We just have to wait and see how it all works out. I feel certain things will be better this year, and truthfully that is all I ever ask for. Coulda shoulda does not matter, unless it is used to fill a post because it is the off season. We do have a lot of believers out in college football land. I am hoping they are all correct. Oh by the way, the other day Rick Neuheisel, gave us a glowing report for the future and called the Nebraska fans the greatest in the country. Pretty nice comment from a guy that Nebraskans seem to hate so badly.

  15. In my case, it wasn’t what I intentionally focused on as it popped up on my feed. It’s just what was the most apparent at first glance. There’s the horrible font choice (that ‘O’!). But the wing is masked by the ‘t’ and ‘e’ in “committed” despite the rest of the word being masked by the player who is behind the winged photo. Never mind the wings on the left side being in front of the letters. All of this without a single element’s perspective being altered from a straight line. Sheesh!!! Nice to have him on board though!!

  18. Tough loss. But still have some talented ILB on the board with Bryant-Srother (who I really like), Curtis, Coleman, and Lewis. Also, if we are able to land Gunnerson he may be a better fit inside after he gets with Duval.

  21. This stuff is all a good sign: The Big Red Revival is clearly very far inside Hookstead’s head. If NU and Scott Frost can get into opponents heads even a fraction as deep, it is going to be a great year.

  23. 2019: We love all of you! You're all number one on our board! You're all the next Heisman winner, even if you play OT - we'll have you win the Outland, Lombardi, Walker, and Heisman in the same year! Our program will never be the same if you come here, and you'll start on Day -1!

  24. I'm sure it will be something that the players think is cool, but I doubt Coach Frost will let it be too gimmicky,. When he was at UCF they had no tradition so he was trying to find different things to attract kids, where as we have lots of tradition so while it might be different from what we're used to, I doubt it will be too far from traditional NU

  25. I lurk on this board every so often and decided to create account/post because I can offer a little insight here. Evans, the school Lynum plays for was once the elite program in Orlando. 3 new schools, 2 8a state powers that intruded on their district lines (including the school Braxton Clark came from), & open HS recruiting in Florida have left a limited resources talent hotbed program struggling for the better part of 20 years. Last season they failed to win a game and hired a new coach again. I don't know anything specific about Lynum, but he's played on a terribly coached team that hemorrhages upper classman talent while facing elite competition. Prior to this spring, they didn't even have an organized offseason training program. If ever there was an opportunity to find a raw talent/diamond in the rough in Florida, it would be in a situation like this, & if Frost & Co. made him a recruiting priority, I wouldn't be concerned about his lack of offers & stars.

  26. I would say that most if not all of the "changing the culture" argument in favor of Scott Frost is based, if you drill down far enough, to working harder or making players more team oriented. What else are you supposed to gain from "The Program", or in the words of Erik Chinander : " “The ‘care factor’ is high right now — about each other and about the program. Scott does an unbelievable job. And I think what makes him the best is the culture piece of this whole thing.” I think there are some people who think Scott Frost brings great coaching ability and skill to his position. I also believe there are others that believe all he had to do was "change the culture". You heard it on the radio when he was hired (especially in reference to how the culture had deteriorated under Reilly), and particularly in regards to former players, here is what Matt Davison had to say: “I don’t think character was something that was looked at enough. I don’t think fit in Nebraska was looked at enough,” Davison said. Frost’s staff is placing an emphasis on character on the recruiting trail, Davison said. If they like a kid’s film, but not the kid, they won’t offer. They don’t just watch the highlight film, they watch entire games of recruits. They want guys who compete every play, Davison said. Other problems that added to the culture the past few years, according to Davison, were issues in the weight program and overall accountability. “We need better players and we need guys that are willing to go do things that we ask them to do,” Davison said. When Davison looks at the team right now, he sees guys who want to win. Guys who had no fun a year ago and want to get better. But the culture needs work. Jason Peter on Mike Riley and what Frost had to fix "An undisciplined, player-coddling culture " When Davison looks at the team right now, he sees guys who want to win. Guys who had no fun a year ago and want to get better. But the culture needs work. You are really telling me that no one believes that all Scott Frost had to do was come to Nebraska and change the culture (instilling hard work and team first attitude)? Or if you have a different definition of culture, what is it?

  31. So are you two competing for a gimmicky trophy, or are we just letting the BRB/Moiraine rivalry continue to develop organically? It has all the elements of a good one!
