  2. I've reffed for a few years and most guys I know don't dislike a coach just because they yell. You get pretty used to guys huffing and puffing and you understand that it's going to happen. The stuff that gets under guys skin is when you start making it really personal or when you won't let something go and move on. We know we make mistakes and no one is more upset that they made a mistake than the guy who did especially when it effects a game. So, be mad about the call, tell us your mad and think we're wrong and then move on. When you keep going back to that same thing and just stay in a guys ear while he's trying to continue reffing the game you end up on a list of least favorite coaches. I'm guessing Bo got personal and wouldn't let go/move on. I'm sure that's why he ended up on this guys bad list. I also don't have a lot of respect for this ref airing all this though. Keep it out of the media or you're just sinking to the same level. Also, as others said if it gets under your skin move on. It takes a certain level of thick skin to be a ref and if you can't do it quit and don't whine to the media.

  3. Haha, I haven't excused sh#t for Bo. I just get a kick out of watching somebody, anybody, obsess over a coach that hasn't been on our sideline in over 5 seasons. Don't ever change

  4. If I was Bo, I'd head to this a-hole's house on my way to Baton Rouge and burn a few donuts in his yard and throw my empties in his driveway.

  5. I love how people are like "The government needs to make it affordable" . OR . here is an amazing idea... The DOCTORS make it affordable...the hospitals make it affordable. How is it not run like all the rest of our capitalist (competitive) industries??? If I don't like the interest rate I am getting...I hit up another bank. If I don't like the price of the car I want...I hit up another dealership. Why does it not work like this for healthcare (Collusion for one but don't get me started) First...ADVERTISE your prices you f#&%s. Second...compete for customers. LIKE EVERY OTHER BUSINESS! I want to see a f#&%ing ad on my twitter timeline "Is your heart acting up? Stop by Dr. Nick's office where every Monday our heart checkups are 49.95" Dentists too! Why do I not know the prices of the work you are doing? Why the f#&% do I ALWAYS need an X-ray? We RIP on mechanics for doing this...we BEG our friends to let us know if they find a "good and HONEST mechanic" And then...one they look at our car they (hold on) CALL US and tell us the price so that we can shop around if we want. I will say it over and over...the wrong people are blamed for the cost of health care and doctors are laughing their asses off. f#&%ing strippers are more upfront and honest about what they charge! Also...dear loser judges...stop sending people to prison for this...

  6. Who's being dishonest? @BIGREDIOWAN is agreeing that there can be racial biases among LEOs, but is saying painting all cops as racist is insulting. @Nebfanatic is saying that statistically, there are biases in police stops/arrests/shootings, and that racism exists everywhere. I don't think either is being dishonest. I think they're talking past each other quite a bit but I don't see that as coming from a dishonest position from either of them.

  8. Bernie's hardcore supporters have personality traits that are most similar the MAGA crowd of any candidate's supporters, IMO. The MAGAts overran the existing GOP base and ultimately became the base. They are, at this point, not at all dissimilar from a cult. Anyone who dares go against dear leader gets targeted, harassed and threatened. They've turned everything into a giant game of "No True Scotsman" where no true Scotsman ever criticizes Trump. Should those of us who are not hardcore feeling the Bern not be concerned about a similar takeover of the Dem base?

  9. That video is hilarious!!! I was so glad this article came out so you can tell us all again how much you hate Bo.

  10. @GSG Hey, we missed you at the last biweekly Bobots excuse makers club meeting. I told the others that it had to be something pretty serious to keep you away. Anyway....see ya at tonight's meeting.

  11. Not obsessed. I responded, and have responded, to whole threads dedicated to making excuses for bo. You and @jjhusker have throughout this thread. It’s not bo it’s bad officiating. The ref should keep his mouth shut yada yada. Btw bo isn’t just yelling as you can see by the link below. When your own announcers are calling for the police to step in and arrest the HC it is clearly more than that. I’m sure you bobots disagree, I’m sure it was the refs fault he made accurate call and was in a much better position than bo. I’m sure it was ndsu cheating, or maybe his players.

  12. This is exactly where I’m at, and really, as long as I can watch the games on TV, that’s all I need. The message board thing was fun and provided a sense of community (yes, past tense) but it is far from a necessity. If the thought is to make it as unpleasant as possible so people will gravitate to Huskermax, I hate to disappoint but I’ll never do it. That place also looks like a cheap Vegas neon advertisement.

  13. You know exactly what it means dude. Don't really care if you like the term or not. When I show up to caucus for my candidate who's part of the democratic party and Sanders and Warren supporters are in my face telling me how I'm wrong to support that candidate. They're pushy............that's a sad situation, but that's the perfect example of a judge acting like a judge acts sometimes. And I get you think Pete is a corporate robot, but I'd also argue who can connect better with the middle class? A billionaire politician no matter who it is that's been in Washington for 30+ years or a guy who's got $100,000 in student loan debt and pays $850 a month for his mortgage in a tiny house and isn't worth more than $250,000. I know my position and answer on that.

  14. Sure, but that is every line of work. To deny that is to deny...well...reality.

  15. If I remember right he was mostly a QB in high school, but didn't have great offers for that position. So, he used his prep year to play WR and boost his stock there. Not sure if academics were a concern or not.

  16. Seems like neither side wants to have an honest discussion here. There are very obviously issue with law enforcement and how they treat the African American population. To deny that is to deny history, data, and reality. At the same time it's pretty obvious that not all cops are bad, and most are respectable people. With a little more thought it's also clear that even good cops can fall victim to stereotypes and generalizations that put them in to bad situations. Your training literally teaches you to be "fearful" and judge people by their appearance to protect yourself and the community. You probably police based on statistics, but those statistics become a self fulfilling prophecy when you constantly go after the same areas again and again.

  17. I will chime in here and stick up for him even though he doesn't need my help. Why can't he? Because he feels like your mind is made up and that you are attacking him. I don't blame him. I don't think you are attacking him but I can see why he would feel that way. He is probably a good cop and does a good job and treats people fairly...but that isn't really what you want to hear. You want him to tell you why cops are "bad" but his answer is the same as my answer. Because some people are a$$h@!es. I can't name one line of work that doesn't have racists and bigots and homophobes and a$$h@!es and dicks and b!^@hes...Not one. I don't know what line of work you are in BUT I would be willing to bet that your line of work has as many if not more racists, bigots sexists and a$$h@!es in it than his does. The difference is, his profession results in tickets and arrests and sometimes shootings. Yours involves "certain people" not getting hired or promoted or a raise. Or certain people getting laid off first or harassed at work. So, does racism exist in your line of work? My guess is that you will say you have never "seen" it and that is fair, you probably never have. I bet he has never seen it either, except on videos that make the news. I have seen it in my profession.

  18. He doesn't even include where to the "FBI data" comes from in his article. Its the equivalent of me saying: *FBI data says cops are racist and kill black men at a 1000x higher proportion to their white counterparts. That's great that he says its from the FBI, but if I can't even look up where his data comes from its useless. The source is useless. And you're right people on the left do the same thing, this was just an egregious case and a huge pet peeve of mine.

  19. Really? Law enforcement today as a source when discussing police brutality? That's like asking Larry Coker who the greatest team of all time was. I'm not gonna argue with you about the point you're trying to make - but that article has zero credibility. Dude who wrote the article didn't even use any citations. https://uknowit.uwgb.edu/page.php?id=30276 ^ Here are some good tips on how to tell if the website you are using is a credible source.

  21. Bernie proposes a transactional tax on wall street brokers that would theoretically raise 2 trillion over 10 years. The collective student debt currently is 1.6 trillion. On top of the transaction tax, eliminating student loans would spur the economy because it would put a few extra hundred dollars a month into consumer pockets which they would likely spend.

  22. Further, I don’t have hatred for bo. I do think he’s a pretty poor human being and worse coach but I dont hate him. People like yourself that continue to excuse his behavior and don’t call a spade a spade is exhausting. My viewpoint of bo hardly qualifies as myopic....but whatever carry on.

  23. Yep. A lot of people are just fed up with politics and politicians in general. So someone angling to shake everything up becomes very appealing. And, to be sure, Trump wants to run against Bernie. He's obviously set up the elaborate effort to slime Biden and to his credit, people are stupid and it's working. But he also takes every available opportunity to prop up Bernie because he truly believes he can't lose to a perceived socialist. He's probably going to get what he wants. Whether or not he's right to want that fight is another question.

  24. I get the same vibe when Trump talks about him. Like a strange respect for him. He is vicious towards others but with Bernie he calls him crazy but then says something along the lines of but he may be right about a lot of what he says. Its weird.

  25. I'll probably be voting Sanders in the primary barring a last minute change of heart. His consistency and honesty is what draws me to him the most. It's also interesting to hear my family members who are Trump voters talk about Bernie (never aggressive convos, I honestly like to hear their opinions). The hate and venom that I hear when they talk about Biden and Hilary disappears. Not that they would ever vote for Bernie, but you can tell there is some respect for him and what he is attempting to do for the working man. My uncle who hates the left, I almost got a "I'd rather have Trump, but I could live with Bernie vibe" - I wonder if a Bernie vs. Trump election would end up with people like my uncle not motivated to go to the polls, because there is no Hilary or Biden type evil to defeat, in their eyes.

  30. I'll probably be voting Bernie, but I don't understand the cult type following with any candidate. If someone asks, I'll tell them why I like Bernie, but everyone is welcome to their own opinion. The spreading of misinformation and the shoving of candidates down our throats has made elections unbearable - and both those things are everywhere right now - thanks social media.

  35. Nope, I'm racist, I get it, wouldn't matter what I'd post anyways. You guys won't change your mind and haven't for years in this section of the board which is why I stayed out of it for years. Plenty of agencies looking for help and applicants so if you're willing to change our "racist culture" please pick up an app.
