Matt campbell would be a bad fit. his style to impact the lives of players (build good men) and win some games along the way.. that will not play with nebraska fans. this fanbase is over the cultural and improving of lives players. winning is all that matters now. offer urban meyer 10+ million/year. would be DUMB not to. the dude just wins. morally and ethically he is fairly bankrupt but the fans do not care and the media wouldn't report on it anyways. any hire other than meyer is second teir.

As has been previously debunked, this could not possibly have happened because coaches are not allowed to be in-home at that time. But people really want to believe the worst, facts be damned.

Is Bo a better coach then Urban Meyer? What makes you think Urban Meyer is only going to just get 7-8 wins??? What makes you think he isn't going to surround himself with the best possible staff to help him succeed and with money to spend. They showed all those All-American players pictures on tv today and its a disgrace to them and the players on the team to NOT HAVE THE BEST PRODUCT ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. Its a disgrace to the former players that worked so hard to bring excellence to the university and its a disgrace to current players bc they aren't being taught by the best coaches available to them. Lets settle. Settling is the way to go get the f out of here with that crap.

Wow just wow. Are you serious? Im speechless in the fact that you honestly think that Urban Meyer couldn't recruit here and that he could magically win?? You need to watch more football to understand why Urban would work. Go watch past games that Urban coached im not talking about Ohio State or Florida bc your going to use the argument that he so called had easy talent to get but Utah and Bowling Green. His teams were fundamental sound, played hard nose football and HE put his teams in the best position to succeed. So their is one reason another reason is recruits want to play for winners and thats all he ever has done. Third he has WON at every stop he has been and finally he has won 3 national championships. Not one but 3. So he has had continually and consistently won. Nebraska deserves greatness and even if Urban comes here and doesn't deliver a championship he certainly would have them back up there in conversation every year. There isn't a better football coach in America then Urban Meyer. It would be a shame to see another program hire Urban Meyer and watch their success and watch Nebraska settle for a coach and subpar coaching and battle to not fall deeper into a hole. If Nebraska wants to be a powerhouse program again go get a powerhouse coach. It's that simple!!!!

Meyer spent the 4th quarter explaining how Nebraska can get back to relevance. The kind of developmental team that he describes is not his style. There is almost no amount of money we could offer him that would make him take this job.

Let's be 100% real... Urban Meyer is not coming to Lincoln. If you believe he is, I've got some really great beachfront property here in Kansas to sell you, and I'll let it go for cheap. Right now, no big name coach is coming here. Nor is Nebraska scrapping everything and running the I-formation option extensively. This game was 100% a throwaway because we are not good at football. One week was not enough to fix the horrible, glaring issues on defense or the unmobile scarecrows on the O-line. I'd like to try the same drugs you did if you honestly believed Nebraska could hang with OU. The true test is what happens against Indiana, because it will have been extended time under Mickey Joseph. Perhaps, Joseph can get the ship pointed in the right direction with better tackling, better execution and better attention to detail.

Scramblin' Smothers might be the better choice in this game.
