No, I'm talking about the instances of people tearing his head off specifically because of the flag.  Nothing to do with the conduct allegations.  There were many, many people that did so.  It was ridiculous.  So many idiots on Facebook.  But yeah, there were a lot of people going after him about the conduct thing too.

The flag thing sounds kind of dumb. I haven't followed the response but it seems like a microcosm of our poorly ordered priorities that a flag mishap fans attention and this dark splotch on his past is so freely brushed aside -- or worse, framed as an incident of bad press which he suffered and which now, as a triumphant Olympic athlete, he is overcoming.

Dude is already setting records.

I wish I could have added #staytotheend for whomever reviewed my video.  Last 30-40 seconds of my video job interview via HireVue went to hell. Last question, pounding at the door starts- then doorbell ringing- I jump up to -well I don’t know what I guess tell the kid to scram- only I have my work interview suit  on top and pj shorts on bottom. Then it auto submitted   It was going well too.

Sometimes Too much info. Trying to figure the best metrics to compare pitching. So, so much analytics. I think I need to identity my top 3 pitching metrics. K’s obviously, maybe innings pitched? Velocity stability? Ground ball/fly out ratio? 

I prefer ERA vs. FIP/xFIP/SIERA, SwStr%, K% - BB%.

You can find all of those over on Fangraphs if you familiarize yourself with how to make a custom Leaders graph. They should have norms for how to interpret each of those stats on Fangraphs if you search for them. Obviously FIP/xFIP/SIERA are interpreted on the same scale as ERA.

Do you have a printed spreadsheet prepared for the draft?  If so, do you do it by position or do you just rank players in total?

I have started to like 11am games especially if I am going to Lincoln.  It is fun getting up early and starting the party.

11am games for me are a close second behind a big game at night.  I rarely go to games anymore so for me the 11am slot is terrific.  I get to watch Nebraska and then get on with my day.  

And Alexandria is the Nebraska one. Down by Hebron. Pretty place. Would have never have heard of it had it not been for the yearly road rally. A road rally is a treasure hunt by car/truck. Most trucks had picnic tables in the bed full of beer drinkers. They provided a series of clues that you would go find out on the back roads.  First one back to the bar and the vehicle that drove it in the fewest miles were the winners. As clear as yesterday I remember coming in last in time and distance. We finished in 4 hours- the winner 1.5. The distance was 13 miles- we were 60
 

good times. Wore out the Weezer and Better Than Ezra tapes I think. 

what will that cost you?   

Not sure I understand-but it’s a refund not a payment. It just came out of the blue and I was curious if others got their money back for this game without asking. 

I don’t think my voice carries much and want to eliminate background noise. I’m not sure how to mirror my computer screen for the recording- using the google product like screenomatic or something- and I need a document camera/ which I guess can be my camera but then they will not have my face, just the remnants of my super sweet voice.  

Have you looked at the free version of Zoom? You may be limited in length (last I checked, free version only allowed for maybe 45 minutes of incremental use) but it can do a whole recording of your voice + screen. Another option would be if you have Quicktime on your computer - I know the Mac version allows for screen recording.

I got you.  Corsair Void Elite Surround.  Single USB input, pretty good background noise reduction, comfortable enough to wear for a long time, and a pretty good price point.

Hawai'i had two punters in on one play - NU should start both QB for at least the first series - just to annoy the fans

An ASU player was leaping on second kick.  Should have been 15 yard penalty and a third kick.

I’m just kidding (a little) and rubbing it in to the northern folk about how bad we have it, but it is mid April. It must be pretty dreary if you’re north of the mason Dixon 

Our average high right now is 57.  Obviously we have been no where close to that.  I believe last year we set some record highs in April, including multiple days in the 80s.  This April we have been lucky to hit 50.

It was beautiful here today. Low 70's and sunny. Aereated, mowed, fired up the sprinklers....wearing shorts. Supposed to be 76 tomorrow.  

But another round of crap coming starting on Friday. We got lucky this last time. The bad stuff started just east of us and then moved across Nebraska/Kansas. Prob won't luck out two times in a row.

I only open sketchy emails on work computers.
