Tickets were getting pretty cheap in the days before the NW game. I wouldn't be surprised if there are cheap tickets to be found a couple days before the Iowa game ... if Iowa fans haven't grabbed them all.

Yeah, I saw that. My buddy said he had free tickets to NW offered to him. I'm gonna wait it out but never hurts to have tickets in hand before coming into town. Especially given I'm coming in from Seattle.

I got tix to Sparty game last year for about $60 apiece 3 hours before game time right outside the stadium. 50 yard line, 25 rows up. Granted it was cold, just lost to Purdue, and 3-6 at the time.

Depends on how long you wait. You can get tickets to ANY game for $20 or less if you wait long enough.

Back in 90s my wife was looking for tickets for her and her friend for a noncon. She asked how much, he said $10, so she gave him a $10 and took the two tickets.

Development and system change probably has had a large effect on that. All new system guys are young and older guys and playing out of their original system they were recruited for. Also, development on the defensive side of the ball has been lacking under Banker.

We would also have a couple potential 1-3 rounders on the DL if Hughes wasnt a joke.

G/F and I are talking engagement. Wanted lab grown diamond (ethical, both like science). They seem to be as expensive as mined diamonds now. Found another lab grown product that I'm interested in (Nexus Diamond) but hard to figure out what info is legit vs industry stuff. Wanted to hear someones thoughts on pros/cons. I know that the lab grown won't retain value, but we're not gonna sell it so I don't care. Would love to hear others experiences.

Yeah, it's not supposed to really hit until Friday I think. The predictions keep changing about how bad Southern Texas is supposed to be hit. Right now it's just the university that's going to be evacuated. We'll see if they move it up to the city. It sucks though because having only lived here for 2 weeks I haven't really had time to think about an emergency kit or anything.

Nice! I've donated the last two rounds. I didn't used to when I was in college and joined about 10 years ago (aka broke) but it feels good to give back to something because you want to and not because you have to.

Yeah, I have a mortgage of a student loan situation going on and have to travel to see the lady but it's something I use a lot. Figured I can spare 10 dollars, again if everyone gives a dollar or two it goes quickly.

I'm at a university. We're closed for the next three weeks. Just enough time to enjoy downtime without getting bored. 

I own a landscaping company. Winter time is for yard clean-ups and landscape/tree trimming.... I always try and give the guys a significant amount of time off around Christmas, because work is slower anyways, and selfishly, it's my favorite time of year. haha.

College finals are graded. HS finals are this week. Then I can start Christmas shopping.

It's true. I'm actually working with the AD at my current university to see if we can do this with the teams here. I'm hoping that I can get a little momentum behind the application of this stuff to sports.
