People of Whole Foods.
I cannot enter a Whole Foods without seeing at least 2 people covered head to toe in North Face, someone wearing flowing flowery pants/bell-bottoms, and at least one person in dreadlocks.- Show previous comments 17 more

@Comfortably Numb yes. And they trade furs and chickens. Grains too.
-
My wife is allergic to corn and soy, so Whole Foods was one of the only places we could get a lot of stuff, especially sauces and canned goods. But around Denver the regular grocery stores have started carrying a lot more stuff we can use. And Sprouts is really good although small selection. Plus Amazon bought Whole Foods and, from people I know who work there, are reducing the quality of the food while keeping similar prices, so we've mostly stopped going to WF now.

Why aren't 40 times done in pads?

Pads are just a noise that can't be controlled. It's not worth measuring. The point of the testing is to measure raw ability not account for noise or other variables. It's an excellent baseline. The best really.
Why don't we make them run up and down the feild, get hit a couple times, and then take the Wondelic?

Can you burp on command?

@RedDenver I can't burp on command very well at all but then again I've never really seen the purpose in trying to burp when I don't need to. There's no problem when it's required though.
-
I used to be able to. Like @ZRod said, just swallow air and belch it out. I think that's a question of ab strength, because I just tried it for the first time in 20 years and I couldn't do it.

How much should tree trimming cost?
- Show previous comments 9 more

You guys are scaring me. I need to remove 2 or 3 trees this fall. Only a couple years ago I had a tree removed, stump ground and 8 others trimmed/pruned and it was like $950 total.
Anybody paying $1200-$2000 per month for lawn and trees is outside their mind unless they have multiple well manicured acres.
-
@JJ Husker yeah that seems outlandish but the first thought that popped into my head was same as yours that they must have a larger than usual property with a lot of trees or something. I have a 1/2 acre and lawn service is $40/week right now.
Lawn/tree care can be quite lucrative if you find the people willing to pay. good news about our pine tree is it’s in the front yard. I’ve heard backyard trees are where they really get ya because of the challenge of getting and using the equipment back there.

Woo I passed my test, ergo I can graduate.

Men's onesie polos are on sale.
Just kidding, I don't know if they're actually on sale. $17 might be the normal price.- Show previous comments 7 more

I typed in sports bra on Amazon. It auto-completed to say "sports bras for women"
I thought that seemed unnecessary, but I decided to search sports bras for men...

I dreamed Frost quit.
Not 15 years from now. Today. And it was one of those dreams that felt 100% real. I cried. I'm surprised I didn't wake up in a pool of tears but I guess I cried into my eyelids.

What amount of fan fiction can a person write and not be a nerd? Asking for a friend.

To be honest, I didn't really know what fan fiction was or what your name pertained to so I used the Google machine. It's pretty cool if you're creative like that. I am not creative at all when it comes to writing or songs. And I just learned that mistress Alys is a babe. I'll never picture you any other way again Moiraine. Although for quite awhile I have pictured you as Mila Kunis so not much of a change really.

I wish Huskerboard was like Survivor and we could vote people out.

I like boobs.
I'm generally a pretty coordinated person. I don't fall down. Except maybe if I'm walking up a steep hill on a sheet of ice. I always catch myself if I trip. I was the star player of my soccer team in college for the 1 season I played, scoring 50% of our goals. I think it's small detail that we didn't win any of our games and we only scored 2 goals all season, but I guess that's a matter of opinion.
Anyhow, the other day at work it was super rainy, and I made the smart decision in the morning to wear sandals to work. I was headed out the door and looked back to half hold the door open for someone then turned around right at the top of 3 cement stairs down to the cement parking lot. My foot literally just went right out from under me like I had stepped on a cloud and I fell from the top of the stairs and landed sprawled spread eagle on my stomach.
The only reason I didn't smash my face on the pavement and lose teeth is because of boobs. So, thank you boobs. -
This video hurts my stomach.

@knapplc @huskered17 @commando
Some people who've studied him based on interviews and what he does for a living think he might be on the autism spectrum which they claim explains why he does/is able to do what he does. Also:
QuoteNeuroscientists recently studied Honnold’s brain. They put him in a large machine and then quickly showed him a series of terrifying and off-putting images — toilets overflowing with faeces, mangled and bloody faces, a climber dangling over the void — the sort of stuff that would send most people shivering, gagging, or both.
It didn’t register with Honnold. They hadn’t seen anything like it. His amygdala, the part of the brain that reacts to fear, lay dormant.
“Maybe his amygdala is not firing — he’s having no internal reactions to these stimuli,” said neuroscientist Dr. Jane Joseph. “But it could be the case that he has such a well-honed regulatory system that he can say, ‘OK, I’m feeling all this stuff, my amygdala is going off,’ but his frontal cortex is just so powerful that it can calm him down.”
Medically, it would seem, Honnold does not experience fear. At least not in the way that you or I would. Or, if he does experience it, he requires a lot more to set it off than anyone this team of neuroscientists at least has ever studied.
What Honnold does have in spades, from a neurological perspective, is a tendency to seek out sensations, a drive nearly double that of your average brain based on their study. This pushes him, of course, but it also hints at something darker, something addictive.

Men are the worst sometimes. (/s)
I had this bolt I was trying to take out of an exercise bike, and it was the very last bolt/screw I had to take out of the entire thing in order to take the bike apart. I had already done all of the others. But it kept turning with the nut as I was trying to unscrew it. The other side was flat and smooth and there was no way to get anything under it in order to get it to stop turning and no amount of pressure would stop it from turning. I spent at least an hour trying to unscrew it and I had about 7 different tools laying next to me and @Elaida wanders in all nonchalant during a commercial break during his game and 3 minutes later he's taken it out.
I wasn't watching him do it but I have reason to believe he brute strengthed it and didn't come up with some genius plan I hadn't thought of.- Show previous comments 3 more

@JJ Husker Yes but brute strength is cheating. And good idea, I'll have to use that.
@Redux don't think we have any. He didn't use anything I didn't already have on the floor. The thing is the end I was trying to stop from turning is only maybe 3mm thick (and round - how is this not in out of context topic yet?) so it was super hard to get a handle on.
-
@huKSer tried it - and I have a very thin flathead. I couldn't get anything to fit underneath.

Princess Beatrice has it made.
She has access to loads of $ and gets to hang out in castles.
Most people don't know who she is.
But enough people know that she can go have a little fun with her fame, for example when she wore the hat below.
She gets to hang out with her granny Queen Elizabeth and the royal family but not be on camera all the time.
She probably has to go on some engagements but not many. -
