  1. I actually met Gene Simmons once. It turned out to be just as strange as you could imagine. It was a private party for Kiss and Aerosmith at a bar that just so happened to be owned by a friend of ours and this was years ago. He called and said if you want to meet Kiss and Aerosmith get over here fast. I wasn't doing anything that night and so I went. So I'm there having drinks which were on the house which was cool. An hour and a half goes by and neither bands are there. Suddenly there is a big commotion and you could tell they were showing up. I was feeling pretty good at this point. Shortly after my friend taps me on the shoulder and says hey man meet Gene Simmons. I turn around and I am standing face to face with the God of Thunder. I just said hi (I think) and he leans over and whispers in my ear 'I'd like you a lot more if you were a girl'.... He later went on to very very publicly hit on everything that moved in the bar. It was weird actually. I loved Kiss growing up. Yeah. That's my Gene Simmons story.

  2. Perfect. So it was appropriate to call it the Wuhan Virus for months until it became a chance to turn it into Trump and republicans are racists. Pick a narrative and stick with it.

  3. You gotta be s#!tting me. Mexican pot came from Mexico. It sold for 15 dollars an ounce. Jamaican pot came from Jamaica. It cost a little more. Colombian pot came from Colombia. It sold for 40 dollars an ounce. Panama Red came from Panama, a little cheaper than Colombian. Thai Stick came from Thailand and it was the priciest, but sometimes the dealers lied and just tied Colombian to a stick. Skunk Weed came from the ditches of Cass County Nebraska. If it makes you feel any better, I boycotted Afghani Black Primo hash in solidarity with the Afghan War. You were correct about not having an A-game.

  4. Sorry, Knapp, but the democrat leadership chases trends for power and control by pandering. We listen to msm and turn “China Virus” into another racist comment by Trump, yet here we have a guy who generalizes republicans but then refers to pot as “Mexican” and it’s crickets. Is that because it’s not racist or because “he’s one of us?” Let’s pick one and stick with it or stop pretending to be offended. @Guy Chamberlin I couldn’t careless about that lame duck candidate, if anything it would be his successor because he’s most likely won’t even last 4 years. I don’t even have a B or C game, Guy. I’m a slow witted individual, but keep up the hypocrisy.

  8. I agree. Those kids play ball. Maybe get it and maybe spread it. They don’t play ball. Maybe still get it through normal socializing and interaction and maybe spread it. This thing appears to be spreading around the world regardless of preventative measures taken. Outside of a total lockdown nothing else seems to fully stop this. So either lock it down, or accept its going to spread and do your best with masks etc and proceed ahead with life

  15. They are working on a bigger WR group. Manning and Betts are a good start, with 2 more WR’s committed in the class of 21. Throw in Hickman moving to WR, that is a lot more size than the past 5 years.

  19. A team of 125 who are constantly tested versus the rest of the population of the university/local teenage/early 20s population kinda pales in comparison. 70% of my friends on Snapchat (21+) go out every weekend or every other weekend. It’s not deterring anyone of this age group. People still go to gyms, bars, and hang out with friends. If there is no structure in place they will still do it anyway. At least there is something in place for them here.

  28. First of all, to me, as a republican, it means I lean a little bit more to the right. I've always been somewhere in the middle. My family tree is democratic. I started out as an independent. Believe it or not, there are some good things that I've liked about the POTUS, esp early on. But in the past year, it hasn't been so hunky-dory. And even as a repub, I'm not so sure that another 4 years would be ideal for our country right now (IMHO). So, if a new office and administration can lead some positive efforts for progress, forge a peace plan, eliminate some division, then yes. Can it be done? I think so. And by the way, I would love to see the leadership of our country with a black woman veep. I think it is long overdue, for all parties. We are in need for new healthy changes to our country, and positive action is required.

  31. Years ago...when I was in really good shape, I went and bought a 3 pack of wife-beaters (relax PCers and SJW's, that is what they were called)...I would wear them ONLY in my place and, gulp, under a T-shirt when I went to workout at my (then) apt gym...if no one was in the gym, after I got a good pump going , I would take off the t-shirt and just lift in the my wife-beater... And if I saw a hot girl at the pool from the gym, I would do some extra sets and then sit ups...then I would walk out to the pool and ask the hottie how the water was...hard to believe I was a virgin for 31 years.

  34. So despite evidence that cloth masks offer reductions around 40 to 50% in transmission (vs N95s which are more like 90% reduction), you say they do nothing at all. Despite evidence, in the research paper I quoted that shows that they DO reduce the transmission. 40% reduction is worthless? Well, in that case, why does any citizen ever need a weapon. I can be fully armed walking down the street and someone can pop up from a rooftop with a rifle and shoot me without my ever seeing them. Or a plane could drop a bomb on me. Thus, my weapons are worthless right? There is no point in a "worthless" self defense tool that doesn't stop all possible situations, right? Again - masks were used in Europe to reduce the spread (even cloth masks) and they have managed to restart sports, and in the case of Australia, they have even started allowing attendance. This does not define a path to success for you? Do you only want normal situations with 90,000 fans crammed into Memorial Stadium? After all, since N95 masks are not even 100%, they are useless as well since some people are going to catch the disease. Very few preventative medical procedures promise 100% safety or perfection, so I guess they should all be ceased. I can brush my teeth every day and still get cavities, so what's the point. Clearly the toothbrush/tooth paste do no good at all. All I want (in the context of this thread) is for people to wear masks to help reduce the spread, improve the ability to identify and isolate positive cases, and allow us to have some college football. Why does the solution have to work 100% in order to be implemented? Very few things work 100% of the time.

  35. The N95 protects the wearer from airborne viruses. That isn't the point of mask mandates. Medical pros want the amount of droplets reduced, that's it. N95 > surgical mask > cloth mask > old tshirt > nothing. Is this message really not getting through yet?

  39. Unless he gets fired, I don't think he's leaving FSU for a while. Every other move has been a step up. He's from Florida originally and now he's at (arguably) the top job in his home state. This past year was just the third time FSU has hired a new head coach since 1976. I think he probably kind of liked Oregon, but it's not often the Seminoles have an opening.
