  1. Yep. Been close and outplayed all 3 of them at times. What has not developed?? The whole team? Every position is bad and not developed?? DBs, DL, LBs much improved OL, TE, OLBs improving WRs. Not great, but KW Left a size able hole in the roster. Talent there just young. RBs- not improved. Head scratcher really. QBs - TBD. Have been great when they have playmakers. Been avg to bad without. Big year for them.

  4. You will never find them saying everyone should make the same amount bc they never said it. They do, however, say that people working full time should make a living wage. They do say that people should not go bankrupt from medical bills. And they do say people should not be in debt for most of their life for getting an education. All of which I agree. And then, occasionally, they say stupid stuff like defund the police. Its all harmless, opinionated s#!t that people get up in arms about that will most likely never come to fruition in this country because there is too much money involved.

  5. The author did no due diligence. Literally looked at a district with some unoccupied dorms in it and jumped immediately to, and I quote, "It also means these ballots were fraudulent." The author is making a strong claim with no evidence, just some suppositions. I don't think there's enough there to warrant me spending time looking into it, but knock yourself out if you'd like to find out if there's been an investigation and why or why not. I support your efforts to get to the bottom of it.

  8. I'd say I'm still more cautiously optimistic, rather than over the moon like you'd normally be when you bring in a 5* guy. I've said before: for every Justin Fields in the transfer portal, there's ten Tate Martells. I'd be more excited about a guy who has actually shown he can play at a high level on a college field (even at a lower level). I still wanna know which position they're planning to have him play (or at least start out at). Any word on that?

  15. Kinda, but there where plenty of times when other receivers where wide freekn open. It was obviously a combination of bad QB play, average running backs and inconsistent line play, but WanDale got his touches, which was good and bad.

  16. Here is an article concerning AM and his TO woes and where he ranks. It’s not good. We are going to need MUCH better ball security from him this season to get to 6 wins IMHO. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/sipple/steven-m-sipple-martinez-gets-rough-review-from-analyst-and-nus-fisher-promises-nothing/article_b1e9415d-10b2-5116-9645-26169cae2531.amp.html

  19. Really pulling for Dallas Baptist yall. DBU was my first offer ever. They very well known (in Texas), and long time NAIA powerhouse baseball program, before going DIV 1 in 2007 or so (here in Dallas). Think small, small, small college/university. But the baseball program is so good they beat ranked A&M, Texas, TCU, Tech, Oklahoma State, OU etc, etc (over the years). They went to NAIA World Series 10 times in 25 years. They got a great baseball program. I seriously thought about going there, and then got offers from other great baseball schools (... I signed with the Cleveleand Indians instead, bounced to the Orioles farm, and then Detroit Tigers...) but I always loved DBU and it's always been special to me, and always will be (and 10 minutes from my hood). If they don't make it this year, they will soon. The program is a winning machine. I def pulling for the little Patriots yo

  20. Or... and hear me out... this has nothing to do with students or the dorms as there's been no evidence presented that either dorms or students are involved. And the main point of the article isn't that it should be investigated as that would be reasonable, instead the article is more interested in jumping to conclusions: No, it doesn't actually mean the ballots were fraudulent despite the author jumping to that conclusion. And @knapplc already pointed out that's there's reason to be skeptical of the articles claims.

  22. Love him or hate him, Ted Cruz is one of the GOPs more influential Members of our government. He is a sitting US Senator and most likely has high security clearances. When are we going to see receipts on the “deep state”? At this point, since he hasn’t identified anyone in the “deep state” I’m forced to think one of two things. Either he and other GOP leaders are co-conspirators, or they’re making the whole thing up… hmmm, I wonder which one it is?

  26. Having two players on him at all time made it rough for him to be a threat at the LOS/behind it. It’s easy for him to make one guy miss. Two is a tall order. He was not the kinda guy you wanted to sling across the middle or deep bombs. And he had to do that. Schematically between that & playing RB (only to run right up the middle) I get why he left. I just don’t get why he went to UK. I don’t think they will be much better if at all than us on offense. They were terrible last year. ultimately he was asked to do so many things this past year that we’re out of his capability due to horrible WR play that it was sad to watch. Dude got rocked too. Took some damn shots.

  27. And see there is some good context for this. He had 3 fumbles in the first half of that game because he wore sleeves. That's almost half of the total he had for the season. Context changes a lot of this conversation if for example we know how many fumbles were him being careless and how many are blindside free rushers. How many were final plays of the game or 4th downs where you have to risk it. I also saw that some of his fumbles were bad snaps. Should we count those against him? I think the whole point of the advanced stats is to try and bake context into the stats as much as we can. It can be combined with the eye test to try and eliminate some predetermined bias and quantify things that are too much to process just by watching.

  29. I concur. I think Wan’Dale might’ve gotten moved down to #3 in targets. Which I think with his style would’ve freed him up a lot more. He would’ve been killer in those 1 on 1 match ups.

  30. Yeah I think Nebraska won in terms of offseason transfers. They received a better WR, and gained a highly thought of RB. They essentially replaced Wandale on multiple levels.

  33. Why not compare it to contemporary QBs that run a similar offense to him. You also are talking about him leading the country over a 3 year span in which very few players started as many games as him. He hasn't led the country in a single season ever.

  34. Mostly true. However Bos offense was definitely a higher risk offense under Tim Beck than what we have today. Taylor Martinez was a turnover machine and Ameer had his issues. But our offense under Beck required a ton of reads and plays we just dont have today. Beck was an innovator and good play designer- maybe not the best coach but very good play designer. Sweep read/inverted veer was one of our best plays, power read and then of course zone read. We even ran a few speed options- so lots more pulling the ball- choices instead of straight handoffs. http://smartfootball.com/run-game/what-is-the-inverted-veer-dash-read#sthash.Xle2qrua.dpbs

  35. Frost has run the QB way more than he should out of necessity. There was literally no one else on offense last year. He fumbles at a higher rate than he should, but that's partly because he was asked to be the entire offense. Can't win games like that either now can ya? Chill and let's see how this year goes. What have we got to lose?

  36. Tommie Frazier won because his team was other worldly. His defense was phenomenal, and kept them in games or won him games when we couldn't move the ball because a team was good enough to stop our running game...because lord knows we couldn't throw when we had to...only when we wanted to. His offensive line was the best in CFB and his running backs were pros. 2AM has been playing with a team that is average, at best. He isn't the best qb in the world, we all know he has warts...but if you put him with Frazier's defense, O-line and RBs, I'd argue he'd be a 10 win QB every year. That 94 team was so good they beat the #16 team in the country by 11 with their 3rd string QB & only 4 completions for 52 yards. The 94 defense gave up 7 points or less 6 times in 13 games. They only gave up more than 21 once. It's apples and oranges. Frazier was an amazing talent...all time great. Put him on this team, in this era...with this offense, we've got the same record...or worse because he couldn't throw. Maybe I am mistaken, but I don't even think Frazier accounted for over 2000 yards from scrimmage in a season at Nebraska. I think he was close. That's not a knock on him...he didn't need to, they were so freakin' good.

  42. For me, I think more folks miss the bigger point, which is losing a guy that was a good player, a "face to the team" sort a guy, who just needed more added around him and better play from various positions. Add Toure to a Wandale plus the other pieces is better than ... "he's really not that good ... he can't get open ... he's better at RB ... we don't need him [but good luck at Kentucky]". Some of those things might have been true ... given the lack at other positions and players ... but you don't ever want to lose one of your best skill players. You keep him and the talent and experience and bring in someone else to take away his reps at that spot. It's all old hash now ... but I would have wanted Wandale and any other talent that would either best him or add another dimension to relieve Wandale and make him a weapon. When I think of Toure and a Fidone with a Wandale and whomever would have stepped up [perhaps a running game]... it would have got me excited. Adding Toure was an addition after a pretty good subtraction ... minimizing Toure's impact [as I see it]. Some call that a "sky is falling" perspective. I think it's just a better team with better experienced players.
