Agree. “State of the union is stronger than ever”? Bulls#!t. They all feel compelled to say that but it doesn’t stand up to a simple fact check. We need look no farther than the collective body of our elected representatives. They represent the people, and are representative of them too. Supposedly the best and brightest of us. Biden appears to be getting around to an energy ban but it's about two years too late anyway. Russia won't be filling tankers any time soon and China will buy their oil. The more interesting question is will Biden tell the left wing of his party "No. We are going drill our own oil in lieu of 'clean' energy." I am not optimistic. A lot of those "Russian separatists" where put there by Putin with the intent to subvert Ukraine. It's kind of like Americans entering Texas when it was still part of Mexico. I think the difference is that the West was simply caught asleep at the wheel. There were few battles fought between the invaders and fewer weapons being sent from the West.

Yet our production is down? We decided we would import instead? Businesses are not buying them up do to cost, regulations? Has the approval time increased? I am honestly confused. Businesses must have decided its not worth the effort. I started reading Cruz' new bill he introduced for energy independence but it started to referring to other bills and I lost interest. I also started to look at Biden’s executive orders but there were 77 of them so I lost interest again. Leases are just one piece. I suspect there are other reason our production is down.
