  1. I learned that Malacai Coleman got his first TD as a husker, and i couldnt be happier for the guy.

  2. Fidone had 3 rec for 18. Boerkircher 1 for 7. The 2 ints fidone was the intended receiver and I believe he also had a drop. That's 7 out of 17 pass plays. Fidone was targeted one other time, so actually 8 out 17 pass plays to the tight end.

  4. Meh...HH had 2 dudes wide open on that first pass, guy on sideline woulda been a TD. He (Sat) gets a complete 100% pass from me this year, we have possibly, the weakest O makeup of personnel in the P5.

  8. I learned our motto for our wins so far: "Nebraska, we suck less than you suck"

  9. Every team Nebraska plays should put double coverage on Fidone and have two guys spy Haarberg, he offense won't move the ball at all. 2 QB's added from the portal. Tony White should get a blank check to stay here.

  12. This isn't NU of old. I can't remember the last time I felt any game was a gimme. Too many times we have grabbed the L from a sure fire W. Hoping Rhule has the team focused and not looking to win 6. Day by day...I just want the win. A blowout or win ugly as hell. Doesn't matter.

  18. I think Rhule and the coaches he's brought with him seem like they really know what they're doing. They're not just good with X's & O's, they seem to have figured out how to motivate this team in just one offseason. We aren't out there playing scared like we have for so many years. We've rotated so many guys in on defense that it's crazy. I love how fast & fiery we are on that side of the ball. Feels so good to have a winning record after the 7th game. That first play by Haarberg...big yikes. I feel like he threw that pick the way he did because of how he leans out of his throws to side arm it. Fidone is slanting to his left and he leans out of it and backwards to his right and the ball is terribly short. Really bad stuff. But, the TD pass to Coleman was a great play and there were still a couple bright spots here and there on offense.

  19. I’m seeing “personnel “issues and not so much coaching issues. This should improve next year with more experience and hopefully key portal additions.

  20. NU can play a clean game in the penalties category. Only 2 for 20 yards. Also, NU won a one-possession, game!!!

  21. @admo good to see Coleman with a big TD catch today. Hope it's the first of many in a Husker uniform.

  22. Just gotta keep winning! Getting to a bowl game this year would be a HUGE step in the right direction.

  23. For all of the whining about penalties during the Illinois game (which were bad), NU had a good response today with only 2 penalties for 20 yards.

  35. False. He moved the ball down the field very well in both the first two games. Just happened to throw it to the other team. HH was very lucky in his first two starts. He had the same exact mistakes Sims had in this game. Threw 2 terrible picks (not in the red zone but in out own territory). Dropped a couple of snaps. Bad hand offs. The real difference is Sims is actually a better passer. He may not be as fast as HH but he's more elusive. Honestly after this game I would give Sims some snaps.

  36. We learned how to win games the way teams win games in the Big Ten West. I am guessing that all changes with the addition of 4 teams next year but right now, I would rather win ugly. So it is all good.

  37. The only thing really learned was that there are far too many people that foolishly think NU wouldn't have the same record if SIms never got hurt. They only played one Michigan and the 4 wins weren't against PSU, OSU Bama and Oregon. Four wins against crap teams that the defense has won for the program.

  38. I don’t think what we are seeing with Heinrich is really any better than what we saw with Sims, HH has simply benefited by playing against teams with less talent and the outcomes have thankfully gone in our favor. Thankfully the defense has bailed us out over and over so far.

  41. I thought this as well. He wasn't very good against anyone else last year though. I think that was more of a Nebraska sucked in that game so bad thing.

  42. Yeah. My thought is if you plan all week for one QB, when a different guy comes in with a different style and tendencies, you may not be as prepared. I'm hoping Nebraska is though and gets, hmmmmm, maybe 3 interceptions, 1 fumble and 5 sacks. #BOGOBigMacs

  43. With their back up QB now being announced as starter today Matt Rhule should join the others being Bo Pelini, Mike Reilly and Scott Frost in the club of our recent coaches who beat Northwestern.
